It must be true - it's in the Sun! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article891046.ece A MYSTIC claims he can cook fish – using only the power of his mind.
Chinese He Tieheng – who calls himself ‘The Fire God’ – says he uses a technique called Qigong to channel his brainwaves on to food. He showed off his power to a theatre audience of 7,000 – who said the fish started to smoke and change colour within a minute of him holding it. Amazed Mei Lee, 29, who was at The Lark Theatre in Guangzhou, China said: “Afterwards he had black soot on his hands where the fish was singed.” Tieheng said: “The power of the mind is able to conquer natural forces.” He claimed he could channel “psychopneumatological force”, adding: “I once cooked a carp thinking about a gas range belting out 1,000ºC heat.” IP: Logged |

Ahhhhhhhhhh......blue moon But dare I say, that I have indeed witnessed first hand, a man who could cook popcorn in his hands. This energy of the universe surely can be focused to do some amazing things. I will search about for some more information to share here. As strange as this may seem, things such as this are possible. I myself practice the art of Reiki and have been astonished time and time again by it's "unreal properties", and amazing results,LOL! Reiki masters world wide do use energy for it's healing power's... I'll think on this some more of course... *I believe that we have another moderator here that has dabbled in Qigong and may be able to share further insight to this as well.. IP: Logged |

YFIS ~It's still merely "dabbled" at this point -- I've not invested the time and energy to go further with study and practice. I'm a long way from cooking dinner with my bare hands http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/008350.html blue ~ Sometimes it's the "fish-wraps" that are the only ones who dare to print such far-fetched items I have the qigong seminar book and the meditation/practice tape uploaded (pdf & mp3) -- if anyone is interested, email me..... K, here we go....Go ahead and skip forward to about the 2 minutes 40 seconds mark on this video that's where some hand popcorn cooking takes place by Cyril Takayama: Clickity-click, LOL! First he does it a piece or two at a time and then the whole sha'bang! It's entitled: Cyril's Magic: Popcorn Popping This is not the same guy I saw personally do this. But apparently this guy is well known to do this on National TV, the street and in various other places... Here he does Cup of Noodle soup Now he presents this and other wonders as part of his "magic" go ahead and search through you tube video's for more if you like just type in "cyril" and four pages of results show up, explore... I'm not saying for sure he is using Qigong either, but hey... can you find another answer? IP: Logged |

Until reputable researchers/scientists confirm all the "hand cooking" I will view it as pallor tricks and tabloid fodder.------------------ "Still out looking for Schrödinger's cat........." IP: Logged |

Chinese He Tieheng – who calls himself ‘The Fire God’ – says he uses a technique called Qigong to channel his brainwaves on to food".My SO does Qigong every day but has not managed to cook a meal in quite some time...... And I wonder if Qiqong might help him to wash up the saucepans that have stubborn marks on them that you need to use a scourer on? He 'overlooks' those quite a bit too.... which is odd for one so enlightened in the Chinese arts. Hell, who'd a thunk that all this hippie stuff could have a practical application?! I likes it! *wheels will now take her 'domestic' elsewhere* IP: Logged |

Pot-washing hands, now you're talking. But Mr BM thinks he is being a hero if he moves his cup out of the lounge and into the kitchen so not much chance any time soon. The last time I moaned about him doing his share of house work he employed a cleaner to do his half. IP: Logged |
