Oh how mine enemies underestimate me!

MILTON, LOL That's too much. Really.

My question is, if I didn't write it, who did, my poetry gnome? If it's a famous poem you should be able to google the words.

I never said you jacked it--just that someone wrote it for you. But if you did write it, thank you for taking the time. Jealousy is a great motivator.

"Jealous"? Of you?

Moving on...

Nobody is "hating", Randall.

Nobody here is a "hater".

And I doubt anyone is even seeking to bring you down a peg.

I just think some people are picking up on a peculiar strain of "worship the leader" being manifested in some people's relations towards you. It's a matter of historical and anthropological fact that, generally, the majority of people, in any social group, more or less autimatically bow down to anyone in a position of relative power. Frequently, there are people who, for whatever reason, consciously or unconsciously desire the favor or favors of the perceived authority figure. For the most part, it is a fairly innocent, albeit naive, expression of a primitive tendency. But this tendency can be a little off-putting in its more extreme forms. Now, maybe Nepthys was, subtly or blatantly, exhibiting a form of leader-worship, or sycophantism, and then, maybe she was not. But Blue-Roamer is entitled to voice his opinion. Certainly, if silverstone is free to call BR a "drama queen", and to make erroneous and inflamatory claims about AG's personal and professional life, and if you yourself are free to brand others "jealous haters", then there is nothing too objectionable in BR's position; which is merely that no man or woman ought to be raised a king above his company, or accorded the gilded forms of admiration which ought properly to be reserved for our lovers, or our saints. His poem illustrated very cleverly that disproportionate, gushing adoration can, in fact, be comical. I didnt find it particularly offensive, and I wonder why you should, when you usually do have a relatively fair and judicial sense of humor about yourself. No big deal, really. I dont expect you to be exemplary just because you are the webmeister, but I would ask you to grant your brothers and sisters, -- all your brothers and sisters, -- the same liberties which you humbly assume for yourself. That's all.

Why would I bother someone to write a poem for a message board that means nothing to them?

I don't think it's clear that someone else wrote that poem. What I do think is clear is that because you dislike me you assume I'm an idiot or a fraud. At least it seems that is what you are implying.

I guess part of being a leader is that there will always be people that rebel against you simply because you are in charge and hold power over them. It is certainly not jealousy, I have no desire to run a website. In fact I prefer to be in a position of less responsibility where I am free to exhibit behaviors that incite others to state that I need to take my medication.

Well said HSC, thanks for laying it out the truth (as I see it).

There is definitely a "rally around the leader" vibe here lately, and this is what I am protesting. I don't see why a website, especially one like this, needs an aristocracy.

And Nephthys is entitled to her opinion without having it picked apart. I have known her for almost a decade, and she does not have to kiss up; nor does she.

I totally know Blue wrote it.

He wrote one for me years ago.
It still holds a place in my fart.

I agree that Nep is entitled to her opinion, but does it follow that I am not entitled to mine?

BR, if you don't like it here, by all means depart. As we say in the South, don't let the door hit you in the ass when you leave.

Insult another Knowflake, BR, and you won't have to worry about a free-will choice to stay. I never said you were an idiot or a fraud--just one of a few trouble-makers here who gravitate (dare I say even thrive on) conflict.

This whole notion of liking or seeking out drama is a bit ludicrous I'd have to say. Yes, some people decide not to get involved, but those who do get involved don't do so because they have an insatiable thirst for drama. If you observe objectively there's always a call for justice in some sense.

It is true that none of your detractors are jealous or have any reason to be jealous. To be jealous implies that these people think you are better, or that you have something that they want. Anyone can start a forum, so that's out. (Sure they couldn't ride the coattails of someone else's stardom to promote their forum, but otherwise it's not difficult to have a forum.) Your character as has been shown here time and time again isn't enviable, nor superior. Your detractors would probably characterize it as somewhere in the realm of "brusque," which probably goes to show that we all dislike in others what we dislike in ourselves. You, BR, HSC, and I all have some serious Capricornian energy, and I don't think that's coincidental to this. Further, with regard to character, in terms of popularity all of your detractors seem to have their share of popularity themselves. No need for jealousy there.

Alright, alright, settle down everyone.

a) We have already established that personal insults are no longer a viable option in this thread. One can be critical of another person without resorting to using backdoor tactics.

b) Aristocracy? Hardly...

*stashes his ribbon that says "Duke of LLC" in the closet.*

Freedom of speech is obviously allowed but what most of us are trying to make sure is that no one abuses that right. Humor is all good, and anyone is allowed a parodic swing but lets not escilate the issue to personal attacks now shall we?

Now... Its hot in this computer Lab and Xodian doesn't want any more agitations on his head. He is already being pulled in like 10 different directions. Would you all be so kind as to please not cause too much of a ruckus today and take it easy on him? Thankyou.

Watch out, Duke X, I just had a vision of you tied up in your locker with your Hall Monitor badge stuck to your forehead. That was a "parodic swing" right? Sorry, but almost everything is in Aries and you said "Duke". lol

Goat Girl hehe I had a different train in mind...

All aboard! AH Hahahahaaaaaaaaa

Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe. it's not too late
To learn how to love, and forget how to hate

Mental wounds not healing
Life's a bitter shame
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train

I've listened to preachers,
I've listened to fools
I've watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you live the role

Mental wounds still screaming
Driving me insane
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train

I know that things are going wrong for me
You gotta listen to my words, yeah, yeah

Heirs of a cold war,
that's what we've become
Inheriting troubles,
I'm mentally numb
Crazy, I just cannot bear
I'm living with something that just isn't fair

Mental wounds not healing
Who and what's to blame
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train

Lol! Awwww, all because of the word "Duke?" Alright, lets just go with a tad bit dose of political correctness and just say "Appointed Peacekeeper" shall we? Lol!

But Duke has a certain romantic touch to it non? Think of more interms of the chivilry side only rather then oppression .
