A close friend is going through a major transition, doesn't know if she's made the right or wrong choice, and today found several dimes in the street (separately). This is very unusual for her. She wondered if there was an omen in this that could help her decide if her choice is right or not. I personally don't know, but I thought I'd ask here.

Anyone know?

Btw, my own life is in its own chaos at the moment, which is why I'm almost never here. When I get more stable, I'll show up more again.

Ty.

I don't know so much about finding coins being an omen, but do know that finding coins means angels are letting you know they are there.

Ty. Hope that's a GOOD thing. ;-)

Another detail was that most of them were tails.

10 cents....

to me, ten signifies a new beginning... 1 + 0 = 1

just a thought.

maybe the "tails" means something has to be...or has been left behind. The tail end of something, the past, it's over....?

I once saw an episode of "Crossing Over with John Edwards" and one of the women he did a reading for talked about how her spouse who had crossed over really loved dimes for some reason. After he passed away she began to find dimes in the strangest places and she would find them in abundance, not just 2 or 3, but a small pile of dimes where she never put them. I seem to remember that she would sometimes feel them drop on her head or hear them fall on the floor, stuff like that.

John confirmed that it was her spouses way of letting her know that he was around and that it was alright to have a sense of humor.

So, I'm inclined to believe that it may be symbolic of guardian angels. Also, when casting coins for the "I-Ching" if the coins come up tails it means "Yes". If they come up heads it means "No". So I'm inclined to believe that the guardian angels are sending her "positive" yes energy or just letting her know that they are around.

They might also be telling her to buy some bubble gum from the candy machine.

My ex has a story about dimes.
His mom said that when his grandmother was worried about her being out and away from home, she would give her a dime to call home if she needed it.
Well after his grandmother passed away, his mom found and still finds dimes all the time laying around the house.
She takes it as a sign to know she's with her and looking out for her.
I thought that was very touching.

26T has a good theroy on that too..

I saw a dime in an odd place after reading this and I thought of this thread. It was at a highly charged time, too, making me wonder if it was an angel or something. I hope it was...

I don't know. I passed these onto her and she hasn't said anything about it to me yet. Right now she doesn't know if she's made the right decision or not, or what (if anything) the dimes mean. If she ever says anything definitive, I'll share it.

I can share that she has had a VERY bad experience with guardian angels, so I expect she wasn't heartened by the thought of angels watching her (but she said nothing about it, I'm just guessing).

Oddly, I had a weird dream earlier today of her where I laid down just for a minute and instantly started dreaming until I woke up a couple of minutes or so later. She was telling me, "Tomorrow..." There was something dire or urgent about her tone. I passed it onto her, but she doesn't know what it might mean (assuming it means anything).

Anyway, again, ty for your input.

brief summary: converted to Eastern Orthodoxy, felt unsafe until her priest & godfather did a protection blessing that including St. Michael, and leaving an icon behind for that.

Shortly after, serial rapist strikes, and is exceedingly brutal, even as she prays. Only when she asked for the grace to die well did he cease his attacks, and mockingly gave her the phone before he left. She had to be sewed back together due to the bite marks he left on her.

Police caught him a few blocks away. He knew the laws and slipped through the system. She'd later be called down in the future and meet future victims. It was as if he had supernatural protection, whereas his victims did not.

Oh yeah, the rapist's name turned out to be Michael. Oddly, as the attack happened in more than one room, it was like the blessing in reverse in terms of the order that the icon of Michael had been sent through her apartment and set in her bedroom (where the serial rapist broke in through a window, right by the icon and then seemingly reversed the order before leaving by her front door, where the priest had brought the icon in).

Meanwhile, the priest blamed her as she'd given the serial rapist a glass of water a few hours before the attack (when he masqueraded as a magazine salesman). Her friends believed God and the angels looked out for good people: since she was good and God hadn't, they were also at risk. They couldn't deal with this, so this led to her being shunned when she needed her friends the most. (Even worst stuff happened.)

She'd later burn her icon of St. Michael, and something weird happened then, but I can't recall what it was. She definitely felt that the icon was cursed, however, and that burning it had been a wise thing to do.

Between that and her disillusionment with the bible and Christianity, she's never been one to trust in angels (not even in a non-Christian context).

Dervish,

That's a really scary story. Your poor friend...

It sounds like the guy could be a devil worshipper. It reminds me of a book I once read, "Night Stalker." It was about a real lifer serial rapist and killer who terrorized Cali. He used to pray to the devil and listen to AC/DC on his way to kill and rape people. Then, when he raped the women, he'd make them "Swear on Satan" that they wouldn't tell. He had a lot of lucky breaks. A lot. It was eerie, actually, but he eventually got caught and now sits on death row.
