PA,

unfortunately there are no really good pics of Julian. Somehow pictures can`t capture his energy.

His Mercury is in Sagittarius exactly conjunct my Sun and Mercury (7th house ruler).

EDIT:

His Mercury is actually closely conjunct his Eros and Siva (all of them falling onto my Sun and 7th house ruler Mercury, of course)

"The Terrible Kaali, the Benign Mother"
http://www.dlshq.org/religions/kaali.htm

quote:

Of all the forms of Devi, She is the most compassionate because She provides moksha or liberation to Her children. She is the counterpart of Shiva the destroyer. They are the destroyers of unreality. The ego sees Mother Kali and trembles with fear because the ego sees in Her its own eventual demise. A person who is attached to his or her ego will not be receptive to Mother Kali and she will appear in a fearsome form. A mature soul who engages in spiritual practice to remove the illusion of the ego sees Mother Kali as very sweet, affectionate, and overflowing with incomprehensible love for Her children.

Shoddily, I have lost the page reference for the quote.

(Blue heart for dramatic visuals, not any other significance.)

Kaali ~ you know that says nothing to me about anything romantic.

It hits me more as being suggestive for that maternal experience of subliminating yourself completely as you prioritise someone else ~ happily. That's the ego abandonment I see in Kaali.

Maybe I should explain, I checked on my chart, it is Square Moon/BML less than 1* applying, and separating from Pluto at 3*. It's smack in the middle of the 8th house.

There's a Venus progression to this point {i.e Square Pluto/BML/Moon} that was a significant part of my life (maternally) so it reinforces that experience.

Also, for synastry first of I thought it was exact with someone's Nodes, but I was confusing the nodal points off Lancelot and Galahad. Which is to say, Kaali ties in with the charts of my sons, not their father, which only reinforces the impression I get about this asteroid. A personal one, of course, nothing for me to base use of it upon in a general sense.

Peace - No, not in my experience. One of my friends (also a Cappy Venus) prefers older men, but the rest of them prefer no age gap. And my sister usually goes for guys quite a bit younger than her. My SO is a lot older than me, and it's never been an issue really, except when I have morbid thoughts about probably being a widow.

Hmmm - interesting. I just genuinely thought that all women were attracted to older men. I've been out with older and younger men. I prefer the not too much older range. I've always found late 30s and early 40s to be a great age for men, in general. Of course, now that I'm in my late 30's that has to rise.

Ego? You mean like in Freudian theory?

quote:
The terms "id," "ego," and "super-ego" are not Freud's own but are latinisations originating from his translator James Strachey. Freud himself wrote of "das Es," "das Ich," and "das Über-Ich"—respectively, "the It," "the I," and the "Over-I" (or "Upper-I"); thus to the German reader, Freud's original terms are more or less self-explanatory. The term "das Es" was borrowed from Georg Groddeck, a German physician to whose unconventional ideas Freud was much attracted.[1] (Groddeck's translators render the term in English as 'the It').

From Wikipedia.

As a simple person, to me, what Kaali is about is somewhere along the Virgo/Pisces polarity between service and sacrifice. But in control, willingly, subliminating your needs and wishes to those of someone else.

I think I am putting it badly *sigh*. It's hard to put a feeling into words sometimes, especially if you have a water void and are very good at subliminating feelings in every way.

You're quite right, Peace, if he hadn't have been well-groomed, handsome and young I would have found a way of bending down so I didn't wave my butt in the air, it can be done.

LOL! Fickle creatures that we are. I must admit - I'm not very confident in my form - so I would never stick my @rse in a man's face for his attention. Maybe if it were smaller........

No-one said it had to be a good picture! Geez! I doubt that any of us will see him the way you do so no picture can capture his energy in that sense. Just post a picture for **** 's sake. Don't make me go looking.......

Booty! What a stupid word! Seriously. You don't go around saying:

"I'm going to kick your booty".

You don't call people a "booty-hole".

I say VOTE 1 for @RSE (or @ss for the Americanites)

You don't hear Bender in Futurama say "Kiss my shiny metal booty". It's not the same.
