Oh spunky!

There would be a reason for that.

Yeah, yeah, okay, it was an okay movie. Okay, it was better than okay. I laughed, I cried. All the ingredients. Yada, yada.

Happy now?

Well, while the furor is still on.

I'm greatly upset that The Sound Of Music has not been mentioned.

My absolute favourite movie of all time.

Thank you PA. It needed to be said.

I agree with your choice also...while I am not particularly fond of musicals SoM is a classic.

I'm not a big musicals fan either. For some reason I have problems adjusting to the idea of people stopping in the middle of the street and breaking into song. It just doesn't make sense to me. I know it's not supposed to, but.... and yet, Star Wars makes perfect sense. Ah, the workings of my mind. Meanwhile, musicals that are based around music, like SoM or Phantom Of The Opera, etc, make total sense.

V.true PA

I also am a big fan of Star wars...I am sure I born to wield a light saber, but I digress.

What about Mel Gibson's early one TIM? I think it's worthy of a mention, although it might not be known outside of Oz.

The Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston...classic which I watched 20 million times as a kid. Um....what else....Oh Silkwood with Meryl Streep & Cher and Indiana Jones. There are so many good movies I watched as a child that I just can't think of right now...Damn.

ROFL that combination. Did Harrison Ford play Meryl Streep's lesbian lover? I'm confused. Where did they keep the snakes? You know that Indy hates snakes.

First Knight. With Julia Ormond, who is ridiculously beautiful, Richard Gere, and Sean Connery as King Arthur.

That movie Tim is brilliant. Mel looks eminiently shaftable in it too.

The movie which gets better and better every time is Donnie Darko. I get a lot out of it every time.

The Wisdom of the crocodiles

Closer

Dogma

The life of Brian

Some scenes of Queen of the Damned

Head in the clouds *sniff* It should be forbidden being as beautiful as those three people in that film were!

And from time to time, I admit it, I rewatch the episodes of "Buffy" and "Charmed". Oh the shame!

Music from another room, so mushy, so unimportant, and yet I can`t get enough of it

Phantom of the opera, even though I actually don`t watch it that often. Gerry is just too, mmh, intense in it. Everytime he lays his hands around Christine`s throat, I feel like I am choking. lol

Oh and I LOVE musicals. A few years ago I have been watching "Elisabeth" and "JCS" so often, that my DVD`s actually got worn out and wouldn`t play certain scenes. lol

I would love to get my hands on the Dracula-performance of Drew Sarich. I am sure I wouldn`t leave my house for days!

OH and a feel good movie, one that ALWAYS does the trick, are actually two:

Love actually (love it to bits)
And
Down with love with Ewan Mc Gregor. Anyone seen it?
It has my alltime favourite line in it.

Ewan saying to Renee:
So I can still make worshipping, adoring, heartfelt love to you, while you have meaningless sex with me?

I almost fell in love with him during that film.
Ah scratch that, I FELL in love with him when I saw that film.
