This is similar to what Xodian mentioned recently (can't remember where, though). He mentioned something to do with business school(?), and the need to 'walk their talk' so that their credibility is strong, and it encourages a climate of trust.

It was something like that! I wish I could find what he wrote - it was pretty good.

Thank you!

HSC...
You thumbsdown my post

quote:
I salute those who walk their talk,
who live what they preach,
who can be happy for others, not jealous.
Who can and do, honestly put themselves in the shoes of others.
Simply spouting words of understanding, respect, and love, and so forth, but not following such thinking, is not enough.
Pretty philosophies freely spoken of are only facades some wear and do not pertain to the speaker if not put into action and conduct.
Anyone who has read words of wisdom can quote
or paraphrase such words...but that does not make them automatically a person who applies such teachings in their own lives and interactions with others, and themselves.
So again I say...
I stand for those who walk their talk, and practice what they preach.

How strange your attitude towards me.

This one?

quote:
Regardless of your given stance, an objective example must be given on a proverbial point of view in order for it to have any meaning in the eyes of others. The first thing we University business students are taught from day 1 is that strength of personal character warrents as much in a given business trasaction as numbers, stats, or the like. One cannot make an effective case for one's given POV if one cannot practice completely when he/she preaches. Personal preception is important in the world we live in and hypocracy isn't warrented as moral or ethical. In my opinion one ends up degrading the moral value of a given view point if he/she contradicts it with an action opposite of that stance. If you cannot fully adhere to a vegan life style, you can not go full self-rightous on your posts. Doing so only hurts your own given cause and your personal character. ~ xodian

I liked your post too, Lexx. Acting what you know is essential.

Perhaps it was meant to be a thumbsup, not a thumbsdown, there was a peace sign too.

*gives benefit of doubt today after having made arse of self on weekend not giving benefit of doubt where benefit of doubt was due*

I really like AcouticGods list:-

Traveling
Independence
Music
Trees
Quiet
Beauty (in all the forms my mind conjures)
Wit
Brains
Listening
Finding

Agree with everything there.

One thing that has become prominent in my life recently is 'listening'. Listening to myself when I listen to others. In times of trouble I often find myself reacting rather than communicating. To truly listen is to relax, submit, smile, though too many times I choose to fight from within myself.

I've always told myself that if something frustrates me, its simply because I haven't understood it yet. A lot still frustrates me Telling myself 'I dont know' allows an elusive answer entry into me. I wish I could say those three words more often.

So at the moment I stand for listening to myself listening to others.

What I stand for?

Well about lot of things but the most importand would be the dualism between Zhna and Drug. It cannot be trespassed since the cap is so great like the one between virus and bacterias.

I'm neither religious or atheist but simply spiritual.
