I ran into the first one on this list earlier this week while reading a novel and couldn't get it out of my head. So I started thinking about other words that contain other words that, at first glance, are completely shocking, at least to me. There are certainly more words within these words but I just thought this would be a good idea for a topic. Anyone have more to share?

Eleanore - The "Truth" one put a smile on my face. As they say "Truth Hurts" I think we now know where that saying originated from.  How odd that Daisy should contain the word Sad, when in fact a daisy makes many people GLAD ... again, Linda's glad/sad rhyming. The first that comes to my mind as a total shocker is a one that's commonly known and that's Santa = SATAN Smile - MILE/S (they say a smile can go on for miles ... their contagious just like the flu ya know?)

I was just remembering how in Elementary School when being taught how to spell the word "together" that the teacher separated it for ease of memorization. To-Get-Her ... to this day when I spell together, I break it apart, out loud or in my mind ... to-get-her. Together = TO GET HER IP: Logged |

Nice! Thanks, ladies!Wow, LEXX. Nicest insect is incest. That's just creepy. And HEART has always interested me, too. So many seemingly disparate words and yet I'm sure it holds many messages. Things aren't always what they seem, either way, and like that.

Hi, angel_of_hope! Mountain Tuna is one I've been pondering on and off for a while. Pretty strange. Manager also has Manger ... unsurprisingly. Texas/Taxes and Budweiser/Brewed Weeds are just hilarious! And I almost got weepy on Grandmother/Mother Earth.
