Looking back on this Lexi, I have to thank you again for all your help- not only was it a learning experience I appreciated, it was fun as well.

Life has been kind thanks for asking- still in the midst of family life. Our eldest daughter is in her last year of college and our other two daughters are in high school..
After that I guess as my Lexi says: "Merrily I Fly" metaphorically speaking.

Yes.. I would like your email it would be great to catch up

No hurries or worries on getting back ASAP..whenever you're feeling up to it and have time.

I have read your posts and looked your new additions over.
I shall try to get back to you today.
Happy seeing you again!

Later!

Hi Ellyn

Lexx, as I said no hurries.. Happy seeing you again too!

It was just nice to revamp this and look it over. It brought back memories of reading Star Signs, Linda's teachings, and remembering her spirit.

Awe Lexx, you're fine. Hope you have a nice weekend and we'll catch up on Lexi talk soon.

I'm going to get some sun and try to work in my garden as much as I can- see how it's coming along.

Let's see.. I planted tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, leeks, and onions. We just wrapped up harvesting the last of our asparagus- they were delicious!!

My Asparagus didn't do as well this year.

Should have fed it better.

I Love Leeks!

(Must be Welsh, ha!)

You should see all the Grapes hanging down on my Patio.

Cool!

Ellyn.. Your patio sounds fabulous! My grapes haven't produced much the last few years..I've missed having grape juice on hand and jelly. Hopefully this year they take off and do good again.

Me too on the Leeks..I love making cream of Leek soup without paying the least bit of attention to calories!

Lexx.. I hear you. There has been previously a year or two for whatever reason I couldn't plant, and I missed it dearly- the therapeutic value of it mostly along with the fresh veggies.

Thompson Seedless, mostly for eating.

Nice to reach up and pick them through the beams.

It's really a lot of work and it would cost me in water to use the Terraced Garden properly.

It does have more Grapes across the top.

As I get older, I wished to slow down, and stay inside more, reading and such; but I guess Spirit had other plans...

Crepe Myrtle bloomed for the first time. Thought that plant was gone when I first came, but no!

Hollyhocks are striking as well.

Oh, did I tell you about the Gardenia?

It's right at nose level as I walk by, strong enough to smell Inside, very nice on the bricks in the evening.

I bet you guys can smell it.

Gardenias are lovely! Lucky you..

I went for a walk yesterday spotting some wild flowers in my field..I favor and love Wild Sweet Williams, not sure that is their proper flower name but that's what I've always called them. Not a Lexi but just an informal verse from letters ensued..I haven't played with Lexigrams in a long time..I figure you have to start somewhere though.

Wild Sweet Williams

Timid smiles
set tall
small dials lilt
and smells
deem East to West
as wet dew
melts at last.

Your walk sounded lovely!
Ahhh......your poem is very nearly a perfect Lexigram!

Wild Sweet Williams

Timid smiles
set tall
small dials lilt
a nd smells
deem East to West
as wet dew
melts at last.

Lovely!
Here are fixes to make it become an actual Lexigram!
And a replacement suggestion for a valid word.

Wild Sweet Williams

Timid smiles
set tall
small dials lilt
and smells

>>>change and to amid or amidst<<<
deem East to West

>>>use a comma in lieu of the word "to" which has a letter "o" you do not have from the title;
Wild Sweet Williams<<<

as wet dew
melts at last.

<<<does dew melt? How about dries in stead?<<<

Or.....
Do nothing except to add to word "on" or "no"
to the tile so that you can keep the word "to" and the word "and".

THE EASIEST FIX TO MAKE YOUR POEM INTO AN ACTUAL LEXIGRAM IS TO SIMPLY ACQUIRE A LETTER "N" AND A LETTER "O"
IS SO VERY EASY TO DO!
SIMPLY ADD
"ON"
TO THE ORIGINAL TITLE:
"Wild Sweet Williams"
LIKE THIS:
"On Wild Sweet Williams"
Like saying the Lexigram/poem is
"about" or "on"
the topic of
On Wild Sweet Williams

Looking at this and your previous Lexigram some more.
Will return ASAP!

Thanks Lexx for your suggestions! I always love learning from you!

Ellyn..Hope you get that album back someday! After reading your comment. I thought to myself for a minute-what was my very first boyfriend's name? For the life of me I can't remember. I think I must have selective memory turned on when it comes to things like that.

Seems like you had ample reasons for putting him in the "ex" category -and he stills tries to contact you...eek!

I'll run into an ex on fb or around town from time to time. I haven't had much of any bitter break ups to speak of. Nevertheless it's still awkward when someone comes creeping out of the wood work unexpectedly.
