I wish they were just grumpy. Snarling, aggressive, growling, biting and huge. Big dirty claws, nasty long yellow teeth, not cute at all. Too many of the ones here act like huge 20+ pound rabid rats. Not scared of people and very territorial. They will attack when cornered when they get into your home; which they will do. They tear through plywood and pressed wood like cardboard and dig under basements until concrete collapses and then they all crawl in and make it home and will violently defend it. "shudder". PS. Now a herd of 6 deer come here, and like the damn groundhogs, are not afraid of people and act aggressive; ie, will not let us go into our own yard. Very scary. Have the animals in cities gone crazy? The squirrels and so forth are very bad too. They chew electric wires, get in wall and ceilings, and urinate and defecate. Oh yes, and the deer crap is everywhere and yes, these deer have ticks that carry Lymes's Disease. Give me garden snakes and toads, and hawks and crows over those stupid other nasty destructive aggressive beasts.

Most likely idiots feeding them like they do the geese which make our beaches unsafe and our water supply requiring boiling too often. When people get all gooey oooh ahhhh lookie cute animals let's feed them; then they become major pests in cities like this; no predators, no hunting allowed; unlike in the country; and soon even city yards and beaches, drinking water, are overrun and contaminated by these animals which have become aggressive, destructive and over populating pests. Their feces spread all over and parasites are bad enough; then add in the destruction and more and well; not cute not cute or nice at all. People are not supposed to feed these creatures, but they do and it has become a real problem. Our local beaches are rated the most contaminated beaches in the country; because of the geese people feed; and Lyme's Disease a problem because people go out of their way to encourage deer to live, yes live, in city yards.I really do not want reminded of this disgusting situation. Sorry I accidentally brought it up on page one when you mentioned a hungry cat jokingly. I cannot use my own yard or swim in the lake or use our beaches or have a garden, vegetables or flowers; nor fruit tees or strawberries. These pests eat it all even ripping the bark off young trees. Rant over; please, no more reminders of this. It is very depressing to say the least. Please back on topic. IP: Logged |
