this is aqua i have'nt been to this topic earlier but now i am in i think u people can help.
there is this rubber tree in our house ,u can call it a plant caz its not so huge its in its growing state.that day when i came home from school i saw that a part of it has been cut planted on the other side of the house.i was angry on our gardener to do that but now as it had already been done nothing could be done to it.i took good good care of that part of that part which had been planted on recently.i even sang lovely songs to cheer it up but u see it is'nt working at all.it is not dead i am sure of that caz its leaves are still green but they hanging down.it have been a month or may be more about this thing has happened but the leaves still hang down and there is'nt any sign of growth in the plant.

i don't know what to do?the leaves just hang as if in a deep depression or pain.
but how can i make it feel better?

pls HELP !!

Aqua, don`t give up hope .

A rubber plant is a Ficus and there are many varieties and I`m uncertain which you have. Here we can only have them as houseplants.

A ficus is propagated by hardwood cuttings and this sounds like what your gardener did. If so, the plant is resting and gathering strength after being cut,rooted and planted. It takes a little time for it to adjust and will look limp and leaves may fall off in the process.

Keep singing to it, encourage it to take hold and let us know how it`s going .

thanks juniperb but u see when it was still in full form it had a new leaf coming.but now it has dried too.

Aqua, thats normal too. It has to put all it`s strength into the injury now so it can heal.Now that it`s divided, it will be stronger and put out many new leaves. Keep singing!!
