I think we'll find a way to re-ignite the Sun by then. Technology doubles every few years (it was every seven years, but now it's much faster). We've only been on the Earth a relatively short period of time. In a few billion years, we will be populating planets all over the galaxy, but I'm sure we will still want to save the planet of our origin.

OK, but it is always a good idea to hedge your bets. That comes more easily to us Brits, I think. Still, even Americans are learning that not everything can be fixed ...
