Perhaps your intuition is telling you something, SunChild! I have always thought the ozone crisis was an elaborate fraud. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." I've been trying to figure out why anyone would lie about there being a hole in the ozone layer. Can't come up with anything.------------------ And I will give thee the treasures of darkness Isiah 45:3 IP: Logged |

mass hysteria is form of control for all various sorts of agendas. Perhaps certain companies with ties to the government want mass ozone layer scares to further their products..perhaps creating a mass panic/doomsday prediction will create a herd of lambs to follow power hungry "leaders"....who knows? There are all sorts of hidden ties and agendas it would take layers upon layers to unearth.IP: Logged |

The ozone hole was discovered by a group of British scientists. They were funded not by commercial interests but by the British government and were given very little money. They used sensitive instruments floated on balloons in the atmosphere for several decades to make their measurements and their findings were not welcomed by anybody. Incidentally James Lovelock, the first to draw attention to this was also the originator of the Gaia Theory http://archive.salon.com/people/feature/2000/08/17/lovelock/ ------------------ And I will give thee the treasures of darkness Isiah 45:3 IP: Logged |

Just because there's a hole doesn't mean we caused it. The sun creates ozone, and the lack thereof (sunlight) causes it to shrink. And, yes, there is a profit motive. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. David Icke shares your opinion, Randall. But I understand you are none too keen on him. No matter who is to blame, it is up to us to do something about it------------------ The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; Matthew 21:42 IP: Logged |

There's nothing we can do. We didn't cause the damage. It's cyclical. "In my opinion."------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." So many lives are lost while we argue about whose fault it is. This happens over and over again in human history. If it is your fault or my fault or nobody's fault. We still have to do something about it don't we? By cyclical, I mean that there have always been holes in the ozone that refill over time, and there always will be...depending upon how much sunlight gets through at the poles. We couldn't impact that cycle even if we deliberately tried to destroy te ozone layer. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." I have been looking for the full story on this, but I can't seem to find anything at the moment. I do beleive that the scientists found proof that this particular assault on the ozone layer was solidly owing to CFC release from aerosols.------------------ The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; Matthew 21:42 IP: Logged |
