Ok, in my area the council has provided most houses/complexes with recycling bins. The complex I live in has one huge bin which is not recycled, everyone just throws their garbage in there.I can sort my garbage but I'm not sure where I take recyclable things. I wish the bin here was environmentally friendly so it would be easy for us to recycle!
I get sick of going to the supermarket and coming home with a ton of plastic and then we seem to consume things so quickly. I feel like I'm constantly dealing with trash.
My daughter attends preschool so I keep all boxes and containers and we give them to the preschool. However, this doesn't recycle them as such, because I don't know how they are disposed of by others.
The excessive packaging at the supermarket drives me nuts. You seem to pay so much for a small amount of product and a huge amount of packaging.
I admit to using way too many PLASTIC BAGS, and few of these are the recyclable kind. I also use plastic to pack my daughters lunch. Next time I go shopping I will buy paper bags to do her lunch and some grocery bags so that when I do my groceries I don't bring back heaps of plastic bags.
