Paid $3.11 today! Yikes!

I watched a special on CNN about a week ago, called, "When we run out of gas". It was very good, and scarey. We really need to prepare. Anyone else see it?

I dont pay as much attention to gas prices as i should - it's somehting i need and i buy it - like i'm on autopilot. Although last week i was putting some fuel in the tank when i noticed i was "already" near $20 - then noticed i had merely 6 gallons ... the unleaded was at $3.04 a gallon. And thats at one of the cheapest spots out here near me. SO knowing that i know Anchorage has to be around 5-10 cents more than here. Ridiculous!!

I havent caught the show Jovette - but does indeed sound like its worth the watch.

Our gas just went up to $2.38. It's an annual contract, though, so it won't go up for another year but neither will it go down. As it is, we budget between $150 - $200 for gas a month mostly because of hubby's job (driving distance from home and just driving around on base). That's a lot. Off base, though, the price is closer to $4 a gallon or more so it could be worse. We're going to have to start getting very creative about carpooling and maybe trusting hubby to do groceries on his own (heaven help us) after work. Just don't know.

Interesting idea for a subject!
Though found here in animal land, does seem a bit odd?
I'll have to remember it's here.

Chico, California [average is $3.14]

gosh, I still remember the panic people expressed when gasoline hit $1.00. There were lines for several blocks at every gas station. People were sure there was a gas shortage, filling up all kinds of gas cans and even milk jugs! (this used to be legal to do) LOL!
*Here we are 30+ years later and we accept over $3.00 per gallon as the norm

$3.19 & rising. Here in NW MI, the real concern is heating fuel. Thats off the scale and winter not hit yet.

OHMYG! I just paid $3.32 and that was the cheapest gas station.

That show I watched about 2 weeks ago, "When we run out of gas" on CNN, is becoming true.

Oh, Denise, what would I do without you? LOL

How did you find it? I went back 4 or 5 pages..... I guess I must've missed it. WEll I do have an excuse, I just finished my 1st round of midterms......been crazy. And last night I only got about 5 hrs. sleep or not even that. And when I did sleep Dinosaurs had invaded my neighborhood. Probably 'cos I had numerous bones and parts of bones to memorize. It was pretty scarey......... I mean, imagine that! Real-live dinosaurs in 2008!

Palmer Alaska $3.18 to 3.21
The closest gas station is $3.21 ... but worth the extra minute drive or so for $3.18.
