T O P I C R E V I E Wsue gI remember there have been some threads on this before, but I couldnt find them. How does anyone find Magi astrology compared to conventional? In general how would one interpret a chart as far as compatibility goes, if say for example there were very good linkages and very bad clashes too?I find it fascinating yet a little confusing...Any experiences, comments?ThanksOzMeg222I find they are too strict with their 'this is for marriage, this will end up in heartbreak' aspects. Laughed when I read their romantic superlinkages topic and it said that a few celebs had had more than one with their spouse. Its been proven here that there are so many more in charts, I have 15 romantic super linkages with a guy I only kinda like. Others have heaps too. I have lots of chiron aspects so anyone with an aspect to my planets or chiron is gonna have heaps of romantic super linkages. And I ain't that popular!!!!In saying that I like their use of chiron, whcih I believe to be an important part of synastry as it has healing qualities.AzalakshHere’s a couple of recent threads: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/010490.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/011348.html Zsue gThanks very much Oz And Az.... Oz and Az....sounds like a double act... SagSunI don't really trust Magi Astrology. I don't like how they paint everything in black and white. I mean, I don't think that there is something like a "good" and a "bad" aspect. Aspects are what you make of them. In fact, I can't immagine being happy in a relationship that only has trines and sextiles in synastry. I need the excitement and challenges of squares and oppositions, otherwise I would be bored to death. But that's just my point of view...Ameliahmmm, my 'set' opinion is yet to be made about Magi Society, I mean, I do like their use of Chiron through interaspects between two charts...but...I'm still wondering how and why they refer to Juno as the 'mistress' when in Greek (and Roman) mythology she was the distressed wife (not mistress) of Zeus ('Jupiter')...while he was a philanderer; she emphasized commitment and/ or marriage.Anywho, I do not believe in 'sure fire' heart break aspects... the break up can occur for many reasons; not just because of the 'heart break' aspect. All, in all...I still prefer good ole' age astrology; but my mind still lingers to magi every once in a while.------------------'Virgo Ascendant, Libra Moon, Aries Sun'"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense". - BuddhaseveneieghtorangeMy Venus conjuncts my last ex (not the pisces one, the taurus one)'s Chiron by 2 degrees in Taurus. His Venus conjuncts my Chiron by 1 degree in Gemini. I guess we have a lot of other clashes in our synastry (although im so lazy to research more on it) in Magi astrology, because my relationship with him was and is still very light and airy and not at all intense and the "crazy" feeling people feel when they are in love. But I guess that Venus-Chiron helps in long-lasting contact? I have known him for 2 years now and we still keep in contact even if we broke it off a year ago. There's really no hate between us, it's always nice to see him because I am not hit by intense emotion and even if we havent seen each other in a year, it's like nothing ever happened and we are back to where we were when we last saw each other. I just kind of find it funny that I find someone who, in paper is "my perfect someone" while in real life, we are far from meant to be. Ameliahmmm, yes. I have heard about the importance of Venus-Chrion contacts in synastry (especially in 'Magi synastry') but it makes me wonder...Chiron is not only the 'healer' but I have read when not channeled properly it can be the 'wounder' as well. So, to me at least an interaspect between two charts such as 'Venus conjunct Chiron' can go 'down' two ways; ultimate healing in love or if mis-channeled (and supported by other 'negative' aspects) ultimate wounding in love. ------------------'Virgo Ascendant, Libra Moon, Aries Sun'"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense". - BuddhaBucketriderThere big innovation would be their understanding of some of the major planetary energies like uranus having to do with fame, athletic ability and neptune having to do with spiritual longevity. The way they understand venus, jupiter and neptune being part of a series of planets involved in romance. Also, their understanding of chiron, which is underemphasized by mainstream astrology. And their emphasis on the quincunx being a potentially very positive angle. The rest of the magi stuff is somewhat on and occasionally odd or off. They sound overconfident on some points. That is due to having been right about several things. They are just taking it too far.libraschoice7 The only thing I can agree on as far as Magi astrology goes, is their section on Juno/Chiron, they claim that it is a long term connection whether there is marriage or not(most likely not). I've been with my boyfriend(Sun in Scorpio)8 years and never been married and we have a strong Juno conjunction Chiron going on in our chart. Their other sections on 'the heartbreak aspects' and 'Cinderella linkages' are just so broad and cut an dry. They make it sound like your totally screwed if you even have one so called heartbreak link anywhere in a chart.------------------Sun in LibraMoon in CancerJupiter in CancerVenus in VirgoMars in CancerAscendant in CancerI "FEEL" therefor I amjenfullmoonEveryone else has pretty much articulated for me already why Magi gives me the creeps, bad vibes, what have you.

I find it fascinating yet a little confusing...
Any experiences, comments?
Thanks
