This switch is what I found interesting yesterday.Another important synastry aspect we have is that his "MOONS" is exactly trine my Shiva. According to iQ, Shiva trine Moon (the planet) is a positive aspect for the state of "samadhi." http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum28/HTML/001561.html I'm wondering whether Shiva trine "MOONS" (the asteroid) also holds a similar importance? Today ... I checked our composite-- ~ "MOONS" is in the 1st house along with composite Moon/Asc (9 deg away), ~ 1st hse comp. "MOONS" is at a 3 deg conjunction with an exact CERES/CUPIDO/VLENTINE conjunction in the 1st hse. ~ 1st hse comp. "MOONS" is at a 2 deg trine with an exact MAHAKALA/KAALI conjunction in the composite 5th house. [MAHAKALA is another name for SHIVA].In my TF's natal--"MOONS" is exactly conjunct Juno, and exactly trine Psyche. I haven't looked at other connections in his natal. In my natal-- ~ "MOONS" is exactly conjunct OSIRIS (10 mins), and conjunct HORUS (1deg) [I have an Osiris/Horus conjunction in the natal]. ~ "MOONS" sextiles PALLAS (1 deg). ~ "MOONS" trines AURA (exact) ~ "MOONS" trines KARMA (1 deg)--So ... there's a grand trine between MOONS/OSIRIS/HORUS and AURA and KARMA. As well it makes a sextile with PALLAS, thereby becoming part of a kite.Considering these aspects alone, asteroid "MOONS" seems to be significant in my natal and synastry. No wonder I was drawn to researching it as soon as I saw it on that list.If anyone else can find interesting connections with MOONS in natal and synastry, I'd love to see them... ------------------ ~ I have a DO NOT DISTURB sign on my imagination ... because I want to frustrate the twins ... HOWEVER, I am just now peeking at some synastry.(All aspects within three degrees, and sticking to just conjunctions with planets, angles, and nodes.): I happened to look at me and Mirage, my online friend here with whom I have an exceptional and easy rapport... And lo and behold, My MOONS conj her SNode and Mercury, and Her MOONS conj my SNode. (Ha...more asteroids to mingle with our wacky Alice in Wonderland asteroids connections at Mercury.)This would add to the lunar connections we already have. Our actual MOONs are exactly sextile. My MOON is on her Vertex, and conjunct her URANUS. My Moon is in her 8th, her MOONS is in my 8th......In a Karmic synastry with another, I see my Draconic MOONS conj her Dr. CHIRON and opp her Dr. MOON. Since her NNode is at 2 Libra, her Draconic is nearly a reverse of her Tropical chart, and thus my Dr. MOONS also conj her Tr. MOON, (though at 4 degrees). Her own SATURN conj her MOONS exact, and both conj my VENUS......The other significant Karmic synastry partner and I haveMy MOONS conj her DSCMy Dr. MOONS conj her Dr. SATURNMy Dr. MARS conj her Tr. MOONS...Viewing "MOONS" as a Moon-type energy, I would say these aspects do support the emotional connections already evident elsewhere in synastry between us. ...Well! I'd certainly agree with Linda and Saturnine, in light of synastry, something is worthwhile here.We use every other asteroid as what its name suggests to us, so why not this one? Hmmm... Maybe I will take that MOONS as a stand-in for the Moon in my 7th house. ...I want something in my house of partnerships, da** it!inaworldofsongHmm. Following the links to arrive at 7805 Moons, we find that it actually has its own Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7805_Moons
"It is named in memory of Michèle Moons (1951-1998), who worked on celestial mechanics while at the department of mathematics of Facultés Universitaires N. D. de la Paix, Namur, Belgium"
Interestingly, per the JPL page on this asteroid, Michele Moons did research on the Moon: http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/sbdb.cgi?sstr=7805+Moons
"In the early 1980s she developed an analytical theory of the libration of the moon that is widely used by several centers interested in analyzing the moon's motion."
Orbit is about 3 1/2 years.
Of course, this info helps in no way whatsoever with the juicy uses for asteroids that we enjoy here.
...Looks like we'll have to get everybody to start looking up their Moons and see what ideas we can arrive at!
Very cool--surprised we haven't yet researched that one here.

Yes, I think it could end up being significant, if we study it closely.

No wonder I'm so interested in it. lolEDIT: OMG ...AND Mercury is conjunct my Sun today. Sorry Linda. Now who's hijacking threads? Ha. Although...isn't the Sun also conjunct your Juno about now? May be why you were all over the synastry analysis today in the "2012" thread. lol
Oh Jovian, I love you being Chatty Cathy
Feel free to come on any of my threads to chat. You'll never be a thread hijacker, imo.
Another general astro reason for chattiness could be that Jupiter is in Gemini. Though retro, it is conjunct my Merc. Maybe that's why I was all over the Draco analysis on your "2012" thread
The Sun just passed over my natal Juno which is conjunct the GC.
quote:EDIT: OMG ...AND Mercury is conjunct my Sun today.
Yep that ought to do it
My "MOONS" is in his Moon sign, and his "MOONS" is in my Moon sign (actually exactly conjunct my natal Moon and his own Juno). This switch is what I found interesting yesterday.
Another important synastry aspect we have is that his "MOONS" is exactly trine my Shiva. According to iQ, Shiva trine Moon (the planet) is a positive aspect for the state of "samadhi." http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum28/HTML/001561.html
I'm wondering whether Shiva trine "MOONS" (the asteroid) also holds a similar importance?
Today ... I checked our composite--
~ "MOONS" is in the 1st house along with composite Moon/Asc (9 deg away), ~ 1st hse comp. [MAHAKALA is another name for SHIVA].
In my TF's natal--
"MOONS" is exactly conjunct Juno, and exactly trine Psyche. I haven't looked at other connections in his natal.
In my natal--
~ "MOONS" is exactly conjunct OSIRIS (10 mins), and conjunct HORUS (1deg) [I have an Osiris/Horus conjunction in the natal]. ~ "MOONS" sextiles PALLAS (1 deg). ~ "MOONS" trines AURA (exact) ~ "MOONS" trines KARMA (1 deg)
--So ... there's a grand trine between MOONS/OSIRIS/HORUS and AURA and KARMA. As well it makes a sextile with PALLAS, thereby becoming part of a kite.
Considering these aspects alone, asteroid "MOONS" seems to be significant in my natal and synastry. No wonder I was drawn to researching it as soon as I saw it on that list.
If anyone else can find interesting connections with MOONS in natal and synastry, I'd love to see them.

----------- that's a lot of connections, I'm actually quite surprised.
But, I'm not such a big fan of having -another- Earthly/negative moon even if this one isn't a moon - moon or hypothetical moon... *shrug*
I may have missed quite a bit - I'll recheck when my wits are recovered. Keen to see how this one works in more synastry examples~! Thank you for bringing it to -our- attention! ^^;

Mine is on 26 Aries, exactly trine Sun-Mercury in my chart.
HOWEVER, I am just now peeking at some synastry.
(All aspects within three degrees, and sticking to just conjunctions with planets, angles, and nodes.):
I happened to look at me and Mirage, my online friend here with whom I have an exceptional and easy rapport... And lo and behold,
My MOONS conj her SNode and Mercury, and Her MOONS conj my SNode.
(Ha...more asteroids to mingle with our wacky Alice in Wonderland asteroids connections at Mercury.)
This would add to the lunar connections we already have. Our actual MOONs are exactly sextile. My MOON is on her Vertex, and conjunct her URANUS. My Moon is in her 8th, her MOONS is in my 8th.
.....
In a Karmic synastry with another, I see my Draconic MOONS conj her Dr. CHIRON and opp her Dr. MOON.
Since her NNode is at 2 Libra, her Draconic is nearly a reverse of her Tropical chart, and thus my Dr. MOONS also conj her Tr. MOON, (though at 4 degrees).
Her own SATURN conj her MOONS exact, and both conj my VENUS.
The other significant Karmic synastry partner and I have
My MOONS conj her DSC
My Dr. MOONS conj her Dr. SATURN
My Dr. MARS conj her Tr. MOONS
...Viewing "MOONS" as a Moon-type energy, I would say these aspects do support the emotional connections already evident elsewhere in synastry between us.
...
Well! I'd certainly agree with Linda and Saturnine, in light of synastry, something is worthwhile here.
We use every other asteroid as what its name suggests to us, so why not this one?
Hmmm... Maybe I will take that MOONS as a stand-in for the Moon in my 7th house. ...I want something in my house of partnerships, da** it!
1* Pieces in the 11th House5* from my Saturn, but I think that's too wide.Trine Venus by 2*, and square my Scorpio stellium of Mercury/Jupiter/Pluto by 3*.

You're welcome SM And thank you for taking the time to look at your aspects! Yes those are a lot of connections.
"We use every other asteroid as what its name suggests to us, so why not this one?"
Exactly!

LOL!

Thanks for your input, Inaworldofsong. Much appreciated.
