He didn’t smoke, didn’t drink, didn’t eat the flesh of any animals, and was extremely disciplined in his daily routine. And while I’m not sure if any of that was because he’d mostly grown up a chubby, single child, Junod points out that Rogers found beauty in the number 143. Yes, I laughed out loud when I read your post!
I think mirage just missed the joke, or has concerns about how your comment could be misunderstood by others who miss the joke.
Hopefully your intentions are clearer to all now.
Interesting note: Child is conj his NN!
Re: in touch with darker aspects: I think you're right, Faith. If you look at a lot of his quotes, they're about telling the truth to children in a way that won't scare them.Very Plutonian, in a gentle way.

If you watch his shows (oh, and my goodness I've watched quite a few recently thanks to my 5-year-old) he talks about a lot of subjects that would be scary to a small child, but does so in a very reassuring way.
Rather than allowing for escape, he pushed these subjects forward and said, "Here this is - this thing that's frightening or not pleasant - but here's how you can deal with it."
Again, very Plutonian (which makes sense if you look at his chart).
Edited to add: Examples of his shows themes: Divorce, death of a family member, selfishness, conflict, people who don't have enough to eat - and being sucked down the drain (it *is* for preschoolers).------------------If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device.
