T O P I C R E V I E WTravelmanLooking for opinions. My partner has FIVE planets in retrograde! Would this mean that there are obstacles for the planets involved? Mercury Taurus H10 (communication obstacles, perhaps at work), Uranus house 6 (how one is perceived by the outside world obstacles, perhaps relating to personal appearance and/or health), Neptune H6 (very sensitive people but unable to really show it, so obstacles of showing inner self, especially at work?) and pluto H5 (Obstacles to being independent and/or fear of depending on others, especially romantically and friendship wise?).Also, the chart has stationary Saturn at the end of house 6. So could this means Saturn will play a huge part in her life? Saturn is her dominant planet. And, stationary house 6, so perhaps karmic lessons in just balancing life better. She is the best person I have met in my life and that is saying something because I have known countless people from all over. So honest, patient, sweet, good attitude, hardworking, takes care of herself, funny, smart, etc.Thoughts?Voix_de_la_MerI may be wrong, but I thought that retrograde motion redirects the planet's energy inwards. I don't think this would necessarily mean the energy cannot be seen, but that it is maybe used more for inner personal development, rather than for material or 'other' creations and connections?I have 3 retrograde planets, but have never really pondered what this means for me on a personal level, just in a more general sense. So unfortunately I can't give insight based on personal experience. TravelmanYa, I could be wrong. It would make sense that the energy is more inward, though, thanks.MMarieI am interested in this as well and looking forward to hear others thoughts. I have Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn retrograde all in my 6th. Although Uranus is at end of 5th almost in 6th. I will say I am a lot weirder than appear to be haha maybe from the Uranus retrograde. And have had strange illnesses. Saturn retrograde in the 6th feels like I can never work hard enough and have had unhealthy working habits in the past. Need to be really conscious of having boundaries and a work/ life balance. CardinalT-SquareI'm a messed up kind of doomed, I have 7 retrograde planets. Mercury, Mars, Stationary-retrograde Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Sationary-direct Pluto.😆 Give it to me straight, how boned am I?Voix_de_la_MerHere are some links to LL threads on retrograde planets, it'll give you some reading until others come along with their experiences: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/232213.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/234320.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum33/HTML/000128.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/209674.html Hope this helps.nomad-monadI'd say that the soul-work the planets represent as they are placed in house and aspect are put in extra focus in this lifetime. They will manifest as areas where the person must go their own way as per their soul-calling rather than follow guidance and norms of the outside world.Retrograde planets are inward directed in the sense that they compel one to follow nothing but the beat of ones own inner drummer. My Pluto is Rx and I have always gone my own way in my own soul development - weather I was aware of it or not (in the beginning it was very instinctual). As my Mercury turned Rx by progression, I became more and more clear about this, and started to think/learn for myself to a much greater degree than I had before.Sunnya quote:Originally posted by Travelman:Looking for opinions. My partner has FIVE planets in retrograde! Would this mean that there are obstacles for the planets involved? (...)No. It just means she chose to evolve this life and the planets energy are turned more inwards. An example: Mercury Rx is actually more active and stronger than Mercury direct. Why? Because it travels close to Earth when it's in retrograde motion, so its energy is felt stronger by the native (or by the people during transit and hence why things can go bonkers). Also a Mercury Rx just means the person has paid attention to TOO MUCH information in previous lives to the point now it only really registers what is worthwhile and useful for this life (the mind shuts down, doesn't pay attention to things it doesn't matter which sometimes folks associate with learning difficulties but it is nothing of the sort. It is just a more virgoan side of Mercury manifesting and discerning, categorizing, choosing and throwing away what's "trash".Similarly with other planets, Jupiter may mean a person had some beliefs issues in past lives and is now working it out. Neptune could be mistrust in the Universe, "God" or whatever name you give it, and working it out this life as well as "faith", empathy, etc.
