So my Pluto is Stationary Direct. What exactly does this suggest? It would seem that it means that the planet has a greater energy in one's chart but most of the info I have found is vague at best.

Anyone know anything more about Pluto Stationary Direct in Libra (4th house)?

Stationary - A planet in its station appears to be standing still between periods of Retrograde and Direct motion. Sun and Moon are never stationary.

Stationary Direct - A planet stationary at the position of returning to Direct Motion through the zodiac. This is considered to be among the most powerful positions for planetary influence, especially in Jyotish, or Indian (Vedic) astrology.

So, first of all, thanks for all the great sites. Muchly appreciated!

So I suppose that if I am to interpret what it means in my chart, then I would have to take into account the fact that Pluto falls in my 4th house in Libra (and incidentally conjuncts the asteroid Karma - ouch!) and that bringing all these together means I have a heaping spoonful of stuff to...ahem...balance this time around?

Perhaps related to home and the family and the unearthing/dealing with those issues in both a timely and karmic manner?

Sigh.

i have it in my 7th house- and i have a lot of pluto aspects (square mercury and jupiter; sextile venus, neptune and midheaven; semisquare saturn; semisextile uranus; uranus in scorpio in the 8th; as well as uranus retrograde but direct 27 days later which happens to be this whole last year for me).

i would love to find material that talks about stationary planets in greater depth. often what i have found is a token paragraph in a book or the site- but i feel there is more to them intuitively. i know that steven forest told me it was a pretty powerful aspect to have (pluto stationary).

Stationary Planets are just strong planetary energies. That's all they really are.

House placements,sign placements,and aspects involving them are much stronger than usual. This goes for natal,synastry,and transit.

Even an aspect involving a person's stationary outerplanet and another outerplanet can be significant due to the strength of the stationary outerplanet.

Wide aspects involving stationary planets can act like the aspect is really in orb.

I figure my Stationary Pluto is definitely making friends, as it were, with my Karma asteroid. I've learned to accept it. It's all good. LOL

For a planet like Pluto, its slow anyway
but with a planet like Mercury or Venus (because they're faster) it would be more noticable.

your information was very helpful glaucus you seem to be like me in your avid search for information- and it's great that you share the links that you find. if i come up with anything else i will post them as well

oh- as an aside- i found a great book on retrogrades but it doesn't speak to the stationary direct situation. it's called "karmic astrology: retrogrades and reincarnation" by martin schulman. GREAT book!!!
