Yes.

My son is Libra Sun, I'm Libra Moon. We like to lie on the sofa in a pyjamas until midday, eating ice-cream and cake. We are a pair of messy slobs. The Virgo contingent get very upset.

But Mrs Valentine has disagreed on the lazy Libra cliche. She says that being nice to people is hard work.

There is the point that if there is a family problem, we will be the ones to rush over and help out. We sooth out arguments and listen to the moans and wails, never once saying "what about me?".

Oh, and Mrs V. also guessed that I have Jupiter/Neptune prominent on my chart. Now that really IS lazy.

I have a Libra moon and I guess I'm lazy. I like to wake up around 2.

I made annoying experiences with Libra-Mars-guys over the last year ... indecisiveness that boders to mental/emotional lazyness, indeed.

My father is a Libra-Sun - TOUCHYNESS!!! Very moody (has a Cancer-ASC and -Moon, I must admit) - and just soooo passive compared to my fiery Sagittarius-Mum ...Even tough Libra is one of the cardinal signs - honestly: I only know them as the re-active types - never pro-active! And ... really ... touchy! ;-)

I'd say no. I pay my share of the bills through my own hard work. Granted, Libran charm keeps that possible (at least for this area). But it's true that I don't obsess over work like others do. I know what's important in life, and work ain't it. So to some I'm sure it comes off as laziness when actually I'm not ambitious because I don't see a point in wasting my life that way. And I've noticed that I keep a much neater place that many other people on top of that.

I've also volunteered to help others, including in betareading fics and the like. I help people at libraries and I'm not even a volunteer anymore. I've babysat active children, worked a teen summer reading program (which was very active, including herding over a score of children--some under 5--to the beach & back to the library across a busy street) and work (and volunteer) at children's parties which require A LOT of energy. So do a lot of the social functions I've gone to, including clubs--even raves--in the past where I danced for hours on end. The way I see it, I'm far less lazy than most other people. I've even been told before that it was a good thing a friend knew me or she'd have thought I was on speed.

I do have my moments where I have to retreat from the world, as LG describes in her books. Sometimes I just veg at those times listening to music or watching YT or rereading some book, or even just gaze at my blacklite posters. My former roomie got disturbed because I could do that sometimes up to a few hours straight. But at other such times I work on my crafts or clean house or even work out in the yard. In any case, I'll be back out in the world again soon enough. I figure everyone would benefit from their own downtime.

At least I don't work at a job I hate to come home and sit in front of a TV downing beers & meds until it's time for bed and repeat ad nauseum. That would be a far less active lifestyle for me, yet I'd ironically also face less accusations of being lazy, too.

Plus, I'm 5'4" and a 119 (not sure how to put that in metrics, other than an estimate). Part of that 119 is because I have well developed muscle tone (muscle is heavier than fat, something BMI overlooks). This is due to my workouts and athletic hobbies (presumably due to my Sag moon & mars), which counters my Libran indulgence in such things as chocolate ice cream treats with hot fudge on them. At any rate, I know at least a few others envy me for keeping in shape without sacrificing such treats. Even with my hereditary metabolism I wouldn't be like that without some oomph. Heck, I find it hurts to NOT exercise.

ETA: And indecisiveness is NOT laziness. It's lazy to NOT consider everything. When I'm feeling too tired or lazy then I just guess or pick randomly (if I can't put it off). It takes quite a bit of energy to be that indecisiveness.

By our patron, Linda Goodman, from "Sun Signs":
quote:
The Sun sign itself is known as Lazy Libra, and that's another inconsistency. For days, weeks or months on end, Librans can be too busy to play. They'll burn gallons of midnight oil, then rise and shine in time to hear the rooster crow. It wears you out just to watch them. Suddenly, they'll plop down into a chair, say, "I'm bushed," and give the best imitation of laziness you've ever seen (especially after all that frenzied activity). Once they've plopped, you won't catch them moving a muscle if they can help it. It will be an effort for them to pick up a spoon or raise a glass (though they will manage). If there's anyone around who's willing, they'll expect to be waited on, hand and foot. When the scales have dipped down toward lethargy, you couldn't move Libra with a steam shovel. Hell talk, read, yawn, snooze, watch TV or stare out the window, and seem barely able to make it into the bedroom (though he'll manage). All the nagging and shouting in the world won't impress him. It's as if he were in another world. After a period, when he's recouped his forces, he'll feel a spurt of energy, get up, and start chugging down the track again. His nose will go back to the grindstone, and his hands and feet will fly. Once more, he'll work like a mule in harness, keeping a miraculous balance and a steady, even pace, as he harmoniously plans his chores with efficient ease. Although Libra is not a dual sign, most of their friends think they know two different people. Try to tell someone who has frequently seen a Libran in the midst of an upswing that Libra is lazy, and he'll stare at you blankly. Conversely, if you try to tell someone who has been exposed to the Libra lassitude that this creature is a bundle of powerful drive, he'll retort with, "That lazy bum? You must be kidding."

Librans know instinctively that to restore harmony to the body, they must alternate their active spells with complete rest. Their personal arrangement of genes and cells and electrical impulses demand it, and most of them are pretty adept at managaing this delicate physical balance. However, harmony of the mind and emotions isn't always as instinctive with them. They can weep with overflowing sentiment, turn sharply sarcastic, then be as bright and cheerful as the first robin in spring. It's not at all the duality of Gemini. The Libran is constantly dipping deeply into one emotion and then the other by turns, which isn't the same thing as the complete change of character of the Gemini twins. There's a deep richness to Libra's emotions, no matter which emotion is high or low at a given moment, and a philosophic approach to both sorrows and joys that seldom fails to smooth things out eventually.

That's right B! We are so NOT lazy, we just don't function like the others, our moments of frenetic work work work can go on for quite some time, same as our rest time. If we worked until our body just drops then we would be Cappies now wouldn't we? etc, etc etc.....

I have a Libra friend who is both the laziest person I know and the most hardworking person I know. When she has a deadline, she'll work day and night until it's done. But if there is no deadline, she'll sleep until midday, talk to her friends and basically do anything except work.

Libras work very hard when necessary, but only when necessary.

Oh, lazy is just a negative term for relaxation, enjoyment, and tranquility. Yes Libra is lazy, I like to lounge around doing nothing, but as mentioned, we get things done, just with little effort as possible. It's called productivity

also, libra can make lazy seem like hard work

I would have to say a defnite yes. If you need proof - just look at Zala's post. Couldn't be bothered posting her own thoughts - just quoted Linda instead!

Need I say more!

Love you Zala

Ah, but you have no idea how much WORK it was getting that quote
I could have typed it out of the book. Instead I found the free e-book online and downloaded it. Since it came zipped as an .rar file I had to find and download an .rar-unzipper. Then I was able to finally open the book, but there are no page numbers! So scrolling merrily thru the pages was the order of the day until I finally found the Libra chapter to copy.

I should have just typed it out of the book, it would have taken 1/4 of the time!!

Yeah, lazy fits with Libra. Opposite of Aries which is action, therefore non-action or little action.

yeah we are. with my leo moon it is even worse!!!!!!!!! my ex had a libra moon and was mildly lazy but felt torn by it because of his other placements. all the librans I know really know how to relax and take it easy and enjoy life at their own pace. some may call that lazy

Alvarella, the touchiness is all the Cancer stuff, not the Libra sun
I do think we can indeed work hard and more than necessary but we are smart and balance it out with relaxation

I work with a girl that is a libra and she is a hard worker. She is fast and very friendly with the patients. But she also has her moon in aries and virgo rising. I am an aries with virgo rising and it seems that we both have the same work style.

Im a libra and my life is very demanding i have a ton of friends and a large family. Im always busy from sun rise til sun down. I have a crazy social life. I work everyday and i take care of everyone so there are times when i just need some me time. Time to just focus on me and what i want. If others see that as laziness thats fine with me. I just think that it only fair to relax as much as you work.
