How masculine do you like your men?And/or How feminine do you like your women? On a scale of 1 to 10, or just describe. If you want. No pressure obviously. IP: Logged |

Hahaha. I like my women macho and girly at the same time. How contradictory. . I don't know how to rate on a sliding scale. Must wear beautiful dress. Must slay villains. Probably watched too many superheroine cartoons when I was a kid. Lol. IP: Logged |

Interesting question. As a female, I do like my men kinda manly lol now I don't go for the alpha males bc they come across as brutes to me and its a turn off. Ugh I can't stand the big shot alpha males lol too dominating to me. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the least id say 6/7. Its nice to see men who are supportive and caring which requires them to be in touch with their feminine side but at the same time, my type that I'm highly drawn to are manly types...example. I LOVE construction guys or guys that work with their hands. VERY manly to me and it makes me feel secure. Now guys that wear suits/ties to work? Ummm not my type sorry. Not saying they aren't manly but I got this security thing goin on. Then again I'm exactly 5 ft tall and I also have mars in cancer. So that may contribute to why I feel that way. IP: Logged |

Hmmmm scale -- 6-8 masculine for a man~ Someone who takes a great deal of pride in their appearance but without needing to primp every 10 minutes... or less. This type is comfortable with their sexuality, I believe... and appreciate that more... Assertive, but not pushy/brutish.. Genial, but protective~ that sort of mixture~Anything lower than a 6 may be too "girlie" I mean, if I wanted a girlie-girl, I'd get a gf... haha so no... and I feel, anything over an 8 may be a bit "cave-man"-ish??? Which i wouldn't give the time of day~ (really brutish ones are usually bullies... usually...) IP: Logged |

Depends what your defining as feminine for a man. A man that cares about what he wears is always a plus. That means I dont have to train them and their wardrobe. IP: Logged |

i like really feminine women, except for one thing... their indirectness...my experience has been that lots of these type of women have serious issues being up front and direct.. if only i could find a woman who could manage to be direct and sweet/feminine at the same time.IP: Logged |

I like a man with a feminine vibe inside a very masculine exterior. I think Venus trine Moon would be the aspect that describes this, perfectly. This man really understands woman. He can feel like a best friend but still masculine. This aspect has a distinct vibe to it imo------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Seriously, though, AG, you want someone with a masculine mind which would be direct, and a feminine heart, which would be sweet. You would need a sweet Moon which would be Cancer, Pisces or Taurus imoThen, you would need an Air Sign Sun and Mercury. Air is masculine. Maybe, a Fire Sun and Mercury could work, too, as that is Masculine, as well. The Venus could be one of many, but not Scorpio ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Totally--Air Sun with Cancer moon. You need a sweet Moon with a direct, non hidden kind of Sun like Gemini. You need the balance between a yin moon( feminine) and a yang sun( masculine) For me, I need a sweet moon, too. I am turned off by the tougher moons in men, too.

I'm fascinated by and easily intrigued sexually by the androgynous and/or gender bending, both men & women. However, I have no problem with "masculine" men or "feminine" women as well. Caveat: we may not be thinking the same thing. By "masculine" and "feminine" I'm thinking ONLY of physical characteristics. However, if you mean mental characteristics then you should say so AND define what you mean by that. For example, is a chef feminine for spending so much time in the kitchen? Is Lady Sovereign masculine for her dress as well as cursing, belching, and spitting on stage? Can a woman be both feminine and bold (such as another female crusader quick to speak truth to power, at least as she sees it, the hen pecking wife who drags her leering husband away from another woman or headstrong "Daddy's girl" spoiled princess who expects to get her way) and a man both masculine and reserved who relies on wits and diplomacy over brawn and may even cry (such as Captain Picard or Xander Harris, happy-go-lucky and boyish Ron Stoppable, or even Jesus). (People disagree on the answers to this, which is why it's important to make sure we're on the same page as we answer.) ETA: Fun fact, pink used to be a boy's color (as it was close to red) and blue a girl's color (something to do with the Virgin Mary, IIRC) until it changed for some odd reason around WW2. And WW2 also saw another major gender role change: before cheerleaders had been male, but as so many men were away women took over the role and never gave it back. IP: Logged |

^ Actually, I just wanted to see what was going to come up, how the conversation would unfold organically...knowing all the intricacies of the question but not wanting to set the discussion up too narrowly. That was just my preference...and you may "fish your wish" by asking for more clarification with the answers. I'm married but still have my tastes. I strongly prefer VERY masculine-looking men (beard okay, muscles imperative.) If I were looking for someone, it would be more important to me that the man looked masculine than acted it. In other words I would prefer a lumberjack-looking guy who was actually a nurse to a man who looked like a shrinking violet but was actually a cop. My husband is very masculine in look and mentality, but with a Libra moon, he likes classical music, painting, literature. The arts aren't exactly feminine, but softening, I'd say.

The reference points?" ------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. Please excuse all outrageous typos and confusing auto-corrects. IP: Logged |

Dandyism interests me.. "Most of us feel trapped within the limited roles that the world expects us to play. We are instantly attracted to those who are more fluid, more ambiguous, than we are -those who create their own persona. Dandies excite us because they cannot be categorized, and hint at a freedom we want for ourselves. They play with masculinity and femininity; they fashion their own physical image, which is always startling; they are mysterious and elusive. They also appeal to the narcissism of each sex: to a woman they are psychologically female, to a man they are male. Dandies fascinate and seduce in large numbers. Use the power of the Dandy to create an ambiguous, alluring presence that stirs repressed desires." IP: Logged |
