I have a Scorpio Moon, and it seems that the more I find out my close friends charts, the ones I feel a real affinity and connection with all have their Moons in Scorpio.

I don't know that much on the subject to know if that indicates a Karmic connection.

I would love to know all you wise astrologers know.....

I'm a novice at it.

Hi Annie, another Scorpio Moon here!

There are a couple of threads here in Lindaland that I think you would enjoy reading through, "Calling all Lunar Scorpios" and "Calling all Lunar Scorpios 2", in this forum:
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000767.html
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000915.html

If the links don't go through for some reason, the threads are located on pages 11 (pt 1) and 10 (pt 2). When I first came to Lindaland these were among the first I participated in and I enjoyed them very much; hope you do too.

Why in Scorpio moon threads are all these dreams? My dreams are never that graphic but they are very co-dependent like the ones described. Yes I dream about saving other people a lot and being responsible for others but isn't that unhealthy? It's real to the mind, and it bothers me. I have recurring dreams but they are always very simple with colour, sight and sound but the message is very clear. Other dreams, half dreams of sex or torture are from movies aren't they? My Scorpio friend says she never watches movies or TV anymore because they bother her so much.

I am the same, I hate TV or strange images because they make me dream. I think the only way to tap into your subconcious is to keep your mind clear from images that are aggressive. The mind can easily be a sponge receiving instead of creating and so I turn off easily to any visual stimulation including magazines, TV, or books for a long time while I create. My dreams are always the inspiratio for my artwork but I always keep my life free of sensation clutter.

I wonder if anyone else has to do this and if anyone else thinks it's unhealthy to worry about taking care of other people in dreams? It seems very co-dependent to me and dark.

Hi, Annie,

As an astrologer I'm fascinated by your question about whether having so many Scorpio Moon friends is karmic. I, too, have many Scorpio Moon people in my life, and I've often wondered the same thing.

All my Scorpio Moon friends are women, BTW, and since my mother is a Scorpio, I've considered that my relationship with all these Scorpio Moons is a continuing effort on my part to understand my mother's profound Scorpio energy. After all, the Moon in the chart first of all represents one's mother.

I've also found that these Scorpio Moon friends usually have a gift for healing, even when they're not in the healing profession. Scorpio energy whether solar or lunar, is deeply intense, empathetic and nurturing.

Does any of this ring a bell with you?

Most of the Scorpio Moons I know are women also!!
Man, I ahve bee a hairstylist since 1982, and I think I have done my fair share of "Salon Psychology".
and helped a few lost ones.
My Mother's father was a Scorpio, and I was very close with him. My boy is also a Scorpio. He is my sweety.

I once had a very psychic soulmate tell me I carry around a lot of baby bottles, and my Mom's was the biggest!(how true)
I am always trying to make things better for people.

Also I have always had very warm hands, and people always want me to "Warm them up"!!

Oh, Annie!

Thanks for sharing all this! I can certainly testify that my hair stylist and manicurist are my "shrinks"! I'm a very private person but tell them everything. So I can imagine that folks come to you with their life stories, too.

I'm so glad you mentioned "hands". My mother has wonderfully healing hands, too! I don't know if they're warm. I'll ask her when I talk to her on Sunday. BTW she'll be 90 on October 23rd!

It's interesting that you have some Scorpios in your family, too. Perhaps you and I have a connection between our charts. Do you know the degree of your Scorpio Moon? My Mercury (the communicator of the chart) is at 2 degrees of Scorpio.

I'm so glad I rang a few bells for you!

That was interesting to read. I am a Scorpio, and I have a Capricorn moon. My dad is a Scorpio, and my mother is a Capricorn. My son has a Scorpio moon. Very interesting to make that connection- I never have before. The interconectedness of it all, because if I really think about the charts of my close loved ones, it makes sense. My son's Father is an Aries, and my son is a Sagittarius with five Scorpios in his chart, but Aries rising. His step father ( who loves him like his own) Is Aries, with Sag. rising and a Cappy moon, like me. My son has a complete absence of air in his chart too....equal fire and earth, but a wee bit more water. (He's a neat kid---and I don't mean *tidy*, that's for sure)

Yes, it's amazing how family members often have the same planetary energy in all of their charts. In my family everyone has a planet near the same degree of Leo: my father and mother both have Moon in Leo right on my Mars, while my aunt, son and daughter-in law all have their Sun on my Mars.

I once had a Scorpio client with Moon in Leo and got to do her mother and sister's chart at a star party I gave. They all had much the same energy in their charts. I felt that even if I hadn't known they were from the same family, I would have guessed it from looking at their charts!

So what do all these connections amongst friends and family members mean? As I see it, the connections are a positive reinforcement of the concept of reincarnation; where we are working out past karma with those we've been together with in previous lives. It seems we are completing our karma with them in this lifetime, or, if not completing it, at least working towards that end.

In my own case, my husband's Capricorn Sun is exactly on my Midheaven. The Midheaven is an expression of one's public image and my husband certainly has defined my public image. Furthermore my karmic ascendant--which is arrived at by noting the midpoint between the Sun and Moon--is in the sign of Cancer, which puts Capricorn (his Sun Sign) on the cusp of my 7th house--the marriage and partnership house. In addition, I have my Saturn on my husband's Sun. So as soon as I began to understand astrology I knew with certainty that we were destined to be together--A marriage made in heaven for sure! It's this kind of understanding that gives me great joy in my continuing exploration of the stars.

Pixelpixie,

I just realized that your chart really is interesing since the Sun in our chart symbolizes the father and the Moon symbolizes the mother. I've often noticed that a person's Moon sign will be the Mother's Sun sign, but rarely noticed that the Sun is the Father's sun sign. You've got 'em both!

Karmic asc. is different from regular asc.?

Yeah, my two closest pals are both Cancers with Scorp moons. And they've been pals with each other for like eternity or something. However, I don't get along with all Scorp moons - it's either love or hate. No in between. I don't always get along OK with other Pisces moons though - also hit or miss. SOmetimes it's wonderful, and other times it's just a lot of nervousness. Cancer moons...sigh...I'm OK with them, but I find they tend to be too quick to judge people, and god do they hold grudges.

I dig Libra moons too - usually very easy going. Usually Gem or Aqua moons too jive real nicely with me. But fire moons take a lot of patience for me, and earth moons...ugh...just suffocating, especially Virgo moons.

To my mind, Scorpio Moon equals emotional truth. It is felt so acutely and completely that there is no thought wasted on anything else.

Truth is the most powerful thing in existance, even more so than love in my opinion. Hence, proponents of pure truth will be drawn together in an increasingly false and superficial world. And, of course, those in pursuit of truth, especially in emotional matters in the case of Lunar Scorpions will be drawn as the proverbial moth to the flame.

Gemini Nymph - I have also found Cancer Moons to be unevolved in their understanding of the perception of water energies on the deepest emotional levels. Just as with Sun Cancers, I have found they possess a naive arrogance that comes from the inexperienced and newborn understanding of the water energies that flow through them. They are the babies of the element and foolish enough to believe they are either in control of, part of, or responsible for that deeper understanding of life and adjust their perspectives inaccurately to adopt this invalid position, often resulting in judgemental attitudes or superiority complexes that are fundamentally empty and leave them feeling vulnerable inside. Why do you think Pisces are humble in their interpretation of these energies (even the arrogant ones are like this, or dismissive of these abilities and hide for fear of not being in control of the higher truths within themselves)?

I always wonder if it's more likely that Cancer would make someone feel like they were the center of the universe (at one time or another), or Capricorn? It might be something they share in common being as they're opposites, I don't know. (Probably)

My two closest friends are a Taurus sun/Scorp moon and a Libra sun/Cancer moon - they've been dating for one or two yrs now, and I am movin in with them at the end of Sept. A little off subject, but how do you think a Virgo sun/Libra moon would fare living with them?

They may be a little sloppy for your tastes, air moons are usually much neater than me, they may be tempted to force feed you once in a while and nag you about where you go like parents.

Other than that, the only problem may be too much public smooching for your benefit, I don't know if I could live with a couple for that reason. If they have good basic good manners around you, then you will be okay.

Swerve, have you ever considered that Love is Truth and the two need not be opposed, but that the two are one?

Swerve -

You say truth is more powerful than love. I am curious to know what emotional truth could be based on, if not love. It seems to me that love would be nothing less than the north point of the emotional compass.

sthenri,
I think I am probably the sloppy one out of the bunch lol but I have been working on that lately. I've been trying to do away with all of my bad habits prior to moving in with them. And I don't mind the physical affection. I'm not the smooch police or anything! I would much rather they do that than fight like my parents always did, but I've known them for awhile and they don't seem to have any habits that would drive me up the wall; I am a pretty tolerant person. Thanks for your input!

At first, I didn't want to accept their offer, because I felt I would be imposing. However, after tension with my stepfather escalated, I felt like I didn't have any other options. And they said they really wanted to help me. Now I'm not typically the type that accepts help from people without trying to figure things out on my own, but we are all just out of high school, going into college, so they said it would help them out a lot too. Plus, they had said out of all their friends, I was the only one they could tolerate as a roommate (which I couldn't help but wonder why.) But I am determined to do whatever it takes to make this work, and I think I can.

Truth and love are totally seperate in my opinion. Truth is everywhere and everything, it is the cold hard hand of Nature that pits beast against beast and man against just about everything. There were infinite possibilities that evolution could have taken, but the universe is cold, impersonal and brutal of its own accord.

Love is a promise that humanity has made to itself. With love, life takes meaning, tragedies have reasons, relationships go beyond biological ties for survivals sake. But love only exists in humanity's concept of the world and is about as abstract as it gets. We have the vision and the intelligence to bend the world to the image we desire, blotting out anything that might contradict our faith. And that is the word. Love is faith, and really, only faith. If you live it you experience it, but it is exclusive to humanity.

By emotional truth in this instance I meant purely not advocating what is false. Which most people do, especially in love. For many reasons easily guessed. But Lunar Scorpio's (and Sun Scorpions I'm sure)deal with only the truth, facing up to the pain and the rejection and the dark side of "love" at the same time as being the most sensitive to these negative energies. Nothing dark is without power inside a Scorpio, sometimes pain can almost re-assure you in its familiarity. But then the Eagle is ready to soar upwards again if strong enough.

I find it hard to give direct and specific answers sometimes as my thoughts change quickly with moods. I probably need to meditate on these points more than I have, but I wanted to give you some sort of answer Heart,

BTW, I never thanked you for your incredibly detailed response to an earlier post - the "darkness/light" thing - so I'm thanking you now.

These two - emotion (love) & truth (biological) which the scorpio Sun/Moon combines..I would like clarified a bit.

Is what you could be saying it that the scorpio moons recognizes this distiction between Love & Truth? Yet they are drawn to finding a way to combine the two?
