Scorpio - in a quiet way
Leo - in a "hey hey look at me" way
Aries - in a more innocent child-like way
Sag - in a just plain "I'm wonderful" way
Cappy - in a "I'm better than you" way

***Disclaimer - I do not in any way mean to imply that this applies to every individual who happens to be any of the respective signs mentioned above.

Just read the post about Aries' looking at themselves in reflective surfaces - that made me laugh!!! That is SO true - or has been known to be true - of many an Aries man or woman.
Myself included!!!

Lioneye (hey chickie!!!)

Yep, I must agree with you about your assessment on Leo's and Virgos. LOL...

Isis..yes..we Saggies to tend to think we are wonderful

I still say that Cancer is very much ego-oriented. Maybe I should clarify and say they are one of the most ego-centric signs in that they see the world through their emotions. My mom is a double cancer and my dad has a cancer moon (Cappy Sun) they both tend to really think the world revolves around them.

Throw in my Sag brother and I and well...we just KNOW the world revolves around us...we're wonderful duh Hee hee....

Yeah, we're all pretty wonderful. Yep, no denying it! Ms. and Mr. Wonderfuls, one and all, stars of the Zodiac!

Ego's Poem
Adam Witas

Three months now it's been since I did decide
To give you the chance to be at my side.
Luscious body, fair eyes, a face most divine.
Your features were almost as gorgeous as mine.
A wit razor-sharp, an intellect vast;
Your knowledge was only by mine surpassed.
We were a couple admired by all.
You, especially, were envied when walking the hall.
When you were unhappy, I chased away harms
And held you tight in my strong, muscled arms.
Our moments alone were times of pure bliss
How else could they be, when receiving my kiss?
Oh, our times together have been joyous, it's true,
But now I see the faults hidden in you:
You make all our fights outrageously long
When it's obvious that I couldn't be wrong.
You don't laugh at my jokes, though I know they're funny.
And you can't seem to help spending all of my money
You mock my singing, though what emits from your throat
Can be likened to someone beating a goat.
It's been fun, but now I must say
It's time that we went our own separate way.
For how can you possibly expect me to be
With someone any less perfect than ME?

I think it's wonderful that we are all pointing out ourselves here rather than pointing AT others.

Good times...

Oh, Sags will hate you forever if you point out they're wrong. They will also totally ignore you if you point out the reasons WHY they're wrong, even if these happen to be extremely valid. Because, of course, they are always right and everybody else is stupid.
Although - they'll hate you even more if you don't stand up to them and agree with everything they say.
Best just to walk away and let them get on with it.
Terribly fragile, these people...
I know it's wrong of me to judge, but I always get a little on guard, feel uncharacteristically cynical, when I hear that someone's a Sag. It's not just the ego thing, it's the falling all over you at first meeting and then deciding they hate you 10 seconds later, usually because you ain't cool enough for them, or some such nonsense.
Of course, I'm sure there are some okay ones about; I obviously haven't met them yet.

Laughs)
...No, you Sagittarians are okay...sometimes!...
You can't help yelling at people telling them they're ruining the environment. When all they did was unblock the drains using bleach - you think they ought to use water - or when you said they could take cuttings from your garden, forgot you'd said it (this amnesia is typical, by the way) and then stormed at them when all they'd done was take ONE leaf, saying they were killing ecology, and then went on to insult their professional integrity (a completely unrelated subject), knowing absolutely nothing of what they do.
You can't help it if you go over to another country to visit relatives, and, when you are taken out to town for the day by your host, who suggests looking at clothes shops, turning up your nose and saying no, you'd rather find a bookshop, because you think you read more books than them.
You can't help exaggerating and being over-dramatic as a boss, having fallen over a cardboard box and hurt your foot, groaning, sighing and limping whenever anyone comes near, and claiming someone's trying to kill you by having put the box in your way (well, probably you wouldn't be far wrong) but walking around in a perfectly upright fashion whenever you think anyone's not looking.
So - ahem! Is it worth the effort, to be friends with a Sag?
Well, you do have your soft spots. When someone turns the oven off accidentally whilst you are baking bread, not having realized it was in there, and you rage at them and make them extremely upset for the rest of the day, well, you put a "sorry" card outside their room saying you must have got out of the wrong side of bed - you even go down on your knees and apologize - and who can really be angry any more, after that?
People can also beat you at your own dramatic game. If people pretend to be ill because they want to get out of doing something, so convincingly that you believe them, you are sympathy personified. You have them lie on the sofa/bed, get a blanket, bring them all sorts of nice things - and most people would feel entirely justifiably guilty for having duped you (though an Aries is probably the exception).
So on balance, no, probably you Archers aren't all that bad...
LOL
AriesTiger

*N.B.The above experiences were taken from those I've had with about 4 or 5 Sags)

Hmmmm, well I can't counter your experiences because I wasn't there. Maybe my Virgo Ascendant and Pluto rising evens out that penchent for wanting to rail against people - but when I am fighting for a cause- watch out

I have a fair number of Earth planets and my brother - being a Sag is also very mellow. Now he is a complete risk junkie and mountain bikes, climbs, hunts, kayaks..etc... me, well, I am as fearless as he is - at least not in that arena.

I am also not prone to just going off and yelling at people. I was raised by a very stoic and strict Capricorn that was also in law enforcement my whole life. So my brother and I learned not to show weakness or any overt displays of emotion (that hurt later as I had to learn it was okay to show when I was sad or frustrated).

When I was angry at a roommate - I would shut them out. I would disappear and go work in the lab or study in the library. It was very rare that I would explode. I do however get very excited and animated. I am enthusiastic and made an excellent subordinate as well as manager in the majority of my jobs. Only because I always put myself in the other persons shoes and I NEVER embarrassed someone in front of others. That was a mortal sin in my house so I carried that in my work environment.

One of the things that is sure to push my buttons is when someone nags and needles me constantly - especially when you throw in that condescending tone where they start to nitpick semantics. If they combine that with following me around when I just need some space..well the fire will come out and all the Water from my Mars in Pisces will quickly evaporate exposing a very irrate saggie. - My Double Cancer mom and Ex-Virgo were both very good at getting me going.

For the most part, I am very optimistic and easy going. Sometimes that good nature has been mistaken as a push over or that I am a bit of an airhead. Bad mistake LOL...I do not avoid people that I do not think are cool. I can't imagine many Saggies like that since we seem to take in the misguided and broken. That was my problem - my brother is the same way - as is several saggies that I know. We can attract some pretty evil blood suckers that hang around waiting for our generous nature to kick in..then we get tired of it and just leave. I will NOT stay around a person that is overly negative. Life is too short to dwell on ugly mean things and there are some people that are quite content to bring everyone else down.

That being said, hopefully you will someday come into contact with more evolved Saggies. We are late bloomers - The Maven in the Zodiac. We start to become more into our own and more compassionate somewhere in our mid to late twenties.

I take it you don't get along all that well with your mom?

hi..i'm kinda new here...

noticed some of you think we aquarians have big egos...some do...some don't..can't judge by sun sign alone...

we aquarians do come off as having big egos when "we know" we are right!

think it's interesting that so many of you see libra as a "big ego" person....guess i'll have to take another look on that one...

my first thought would be to say leo...and then a kind gentlemen explained that it is a "SHOW"....

george bush with leo rising came to mind as one person who appears to have that "big ego"...but perhaps it's that mercury/pluto conjunction on his asc....that adds to that picture...

so now it comes to...i think a person with a stellium in aries...is your true egomaniac....followed by leo....only if leo is the "unevolved type...

scorpio third...as the controlling nature appears ego-orented as if he/she has a right to control...but then again...it is the unevolved one's that i would be talking about...

sag? big ego? more like "big mouth" but i love and deeply value their honesty in telling you not necessarily what you want to hear...
but the truth as they see it...and their positive outlook on life and the laughter they generate ...who can get angry with a sag?

just some thoughts....

Hi Pidaua,
You're right, I don't get on with my Sag mother - but I've already said enough about her. Suffice to say that the greatest issues between us arose from her viewing me not as an individual, but as an extension of herself. We also had a very different approach to problem-solving. She was a fan of methods and gurus, and not keen on experimentation, whereas I was much more interested in working things out for myself, from a very early age. I was also apt to question everything, particularly tried-and-tested methods, and authority, and was wont to answer back a lot - which she tried to suppress in vain. My Sun opposite Uranus, I'm afraid - I was a fun kid. A very independent-minded 5-year-old. We used to have some super battles!!!

My mother had a Cancer mother and Virgo father, so I can understand what you say about needling, and SPACE. Perhaps that is why she moved to another country!!!

I have Virgo ascending and Pluto in the 1st - so, a fairly similar aspect to yours!
