Actually, I'd change this thread's name to the 'Argue, re-phrase, and make up" thread. Or the "passive aggressive" thread. Or the "love hate love" thread. Or the "***slap****, ouch! Ok, I'll shut up thread". (the passive/aggessive thread would be a spin-off of that one)

Howz about the ~~~
"I am such a woman sometimes" thread.
Cuz we ALL do it, much as I wish I didn't. It's the estrogen, it makes us all wonky. AND NO, that is not an Anti-woman statement, that is an Anti-hormone statement.
Geez, I wish I'd get off my own back already!!

It's just, you know, I never considered I'd make someone feel bad.. I didn't think of any affects, I just ran my mouth. So if that makes me passive aggressive? Well, let's just say, my husband WISHES I were passive aggressive. I am actually really sensitive, and I HATE that something I said made her want to leave. I just want to cry.

*Sob* sorry

I am so not good with responsibility.

I know for a fact I'm no good at responsibility either. Know why? Cause I just had to see the Libra man who's making me feel so damn different than any other time in my life.

{He smells so damn good!!)

Anyways, - slap!!!!!!!!

I'm cool with whatever at this crazy forum, you know? We're like all the people who got C's in class, but had more fun. We are like some of the guinea pigs who got tested with experimental medications so we would shut up. We take it - we're resilient.

Just one thing bothering me like crazy though.

That weirds me out.

Wearing a kilt and a tiara ( and very polka-dotted knee-socks), we see the woman start to mix a blue liquid from vial :A: into the waiting red liquid of beaker :B:. The room goes quiet, a hushed awe falls over the crowd, awaiting the two liquids to mix and react....
Her face wears a proud set and her eyes are determined..... The first drop descends from the lip of the glass, seemingly in slow motion, it falls toward the red liquid with velocity growing..... quickly reaching it's surface....
and YES! We have contact.. the blue just pools on the surface, not turning purple, not mixing or probing the very core of red. The red has now assimilated blue. Made blue turn red. (Seemingly embarrassed)and it is done. Contact established... calm surface. These two substances will be fine as long as they are kept apart. Separately, they can be lethal, but together, the crowd cheers for domination. Assimilation.
Yes, science fans, the hypothesis is correct. Blue and Red don't make purple, they just make a mess of their own colours.

The crowd is silent once more.

PixelPixie,
I know of not one person who doesn't have a problem with authority, including me so I can 100% understand why you may have got all 'grrrr'. I actually saw some truth in what you said afterwards but I'll come back to that in a minute.

I don't mean to put anyone down, my aim was to enhance how everyone feels about themselves, if they needed it. I don't think anyone is wrong, they have their ways of living and I have mine. I'm sure following life the way I do won't make them any happier !
I'm actually trying to see everyones side of the fence cause I am still not really 'one of the gang'. By giving my viewpoint, I hope someone will then give me theirs and then I can learn from them. I'm here to learn from everyone, I just have no idea how to go about it other that stating my views and waiting for someone to tell me I'm wrong :0)

I actually think that we're probably quite similar, the slippers sound a great idea !

I do love the posts that DistantDrummer writes, I find them so powerful and it makes me envious. To be that confident in your words ? I find it just beautiful ! I know I'm one of the few who feel inspired by them.

Anyway, back to the truth. After I read your post and re-read them I realised I was obsessing over it for a reason. After thinking I realised that I think you're right. I do think of people as sheep. But I don't think of the people here like that. I see these people who live their lives with no purpose. They just go to work, hate their job, come home, watch tv, go on holiday once a year, watch the entertainment and clap along, theres just no drive there. I want to go up to them, shake them and tell them that theres more to life than living an empty existence. Not just because I think I have found my truth, just because I know there are so many paths out there that make people happy, but how many look for those paths ? You people have found Linda Goodman, and astrology. To me, thats great, we have a common ground and I see you all as elevated people, superior even !
I did a Psychology course recently, and saw human behaviour in it's rawest forms. It was so upsetting, people did behave like sheep even at the expense of others. We researched a woman who was stabbed to death and had so many witnesses none of which called the police. You know why ? Because none of them wanted to be the first !
I also probably come across as I think I'm superior because i have a nice battle going on with my self-esteem. I have been battling it for years, trying desperately to convince myself that I'm worth something. You didn't make me want to leave, I saw myself as worthless and offered the choice.

I know I have stereotyped people, I know I judge, it's habits I am trying to break out of but it takes time :0) I want to be the type of person who has a clear head when dealing with others.

I must thank you for bringing to my attention my impression that I am better that half the planet. It's something I'm gonna look into and hopefully obtain some balance. But please remember, in my superior thinking, I also think everyone here is superior too ! Plus I'm an Aries, such an easy trap for me to fall into.

I guess I just pictured you with these flashing eyes and the tail ready to strike ;0) I promise to try and be less 'I am the way', as I try and achieve some sort of balance between hating myself and loving myself :0)

Heya Tahariel~
I think if you rephrased, and I rephrased, in our original posts, then we'd be all -like- "You go , girl!!"
Because everything you have said since I have totally agreed with.
I suppose in a way we have embodied the whole Mercury retro miscommunication thing in the firt place. How funny is that.
I understand your quest for understanding and defining while still being open minded. I also don't accept everything about Astrology and my other beliefs to be 100% convinced, but that is a good thing. I embrace it enough, and have faith enough to still be blown away by how one aspect, for instance, affects my life, and manifests itself in very real, tangible ways. The fact that I know of Astology's existence is my reality, therefore I can give a name to these things. It is comforting to be in a place where I can share this. I don't generaly broadcast the influences of the planets in my daily life. ( I have this month though, if someone tells me how messed up and wierd things have been, I'll bring up Mercury, but people know I am wonky, so it doesn't matter so much.)
It is very nice though to have this common thread... to have a place where I can share and learn and talk only astrology ( but usually I throw in other things too) I was originally bringing up the fact that of course we mention Mercury retrograde... of course we talk about and wonder about the influences of the planets and aspects etc. This is our safe place. At least it is mine. We have bonded through a commonality, in the name of someone we respect and love.. Linda. All come together to continue learning. So How 'bout, instead of me taking offense to the way you brought up that we are to into something we specifically come here to do, how about, I restate that I thank you for joining us and phrasing things in such a way that I questioned and had to defend the things I have come to learn are important to me.
(And of course I stung a wee bit.... I thought that ironic Mercury rx bit at the end was great, I applauded myself for that...ooops)
Truce though, cuz I like you.
Sorry, I do.

I guess it may have felt like I was dissing your beliefs ? Really sorry about that. I think it's nice you have this one place to be open about what you believe. I think because mine are all over the place I am an outcast wherever I walk :0)
I love astrology, have been studying it for almost 10 years now, still don't know much and due to other beliefs I hold, this belief brings me conflict.

Well I guess my wound will heal, I know you could have stung 1000 times harder :0) And all I can do is bat at you with my horns How crap am I ?! Theres nothing sinister about Ariens, and underneath it all, I am a sheep just the same :0)

Yep, truce, I prefer to watch you ripping into others rather than be the receiver :0)

No problem, Tahariel. Mercury retrograde means that Mercury (at least from our point of view here on Earth) appears to travel backwards through the skies for a short period, due to relative positions between the planets. If this seems strange, try to imagine yourself inside a 3-D model of the solar system, and visualise some planets with larger or smaller orbits, some moving slower or faster than others...
Since Mercury rules communication, any apparent forwards movement of the planet thorugh the signs is therefore taken to denote clear-cut communication, whereas apparent backwards movement would denote the opposite.
I don't know much more than you, but I hope this helps!

Just to expound a bit...imagine yourself on a train, going past a picket fence. Those pickets start to look like they're going backwards, though they're not.

And there you have a visual for a Retrograde planet.

Hi Karen,

I would only advise that you take precautions in replying on some of the more sensitive threads. This one brought out some tender toes that ended up getting stepped on, which prompted us to let it drop.

Welcome to LL and enjoy the site - we have a lot of great astrologers and students here.

I admit, I like to get the stars checked because I like to hear, "You guys would be perfect!" Astrology makes me feel all romantic and shwoopy. I like to think that our love will be of romantic legends and that the stars will be in our eyes forever and ever.. Or until my Aqua Sun/Sag Moon wake up and cause me to run like the dickens. But I don't wanna run. I want somebody to catch me, except not that guy, or that guy, or that guy, or..

Hi folks! I'm new here. I see this thread has been going on for some time, but I think I'll say something. I agree with the essence of what Lioneye had to say, that sometimes you can be in a terrible relationship that you want to work out, and you try anything to see if it can't be seen to be 'meant to be.' I've been there myself, so there's no criticism coming from me about people who do ask these questions. I do agree with Lioneye as well when she says that sometimes you just have to make your mind up for yourself.
As for what Ms Aries Rocks had to say - I laughed at your by now six month old quip about the age gap, and yes, perhaps it would have been a bit tactless if you'd said it to someone who was pouring her heart out to you, but you didn't and heck, we Rams can put our hooves in it sometimes, or we wouldn't be Rams!
Incidentally, I was at another forum the other day, and someone had put up a message saying 'what to do when you've met your soulmate, but s/he doesn't see it.' I was tempted to reply and say well, they're not the one for you then if they're not interested, but luckily tact took over. But I think that it's simply a case - and probably with Lioneye as well - of not wanting to see people waste time working out if something's meant to be with someone it's not going to happen with, when you could be out there meeting someone really fantastic.
Pax!

Hahaha, I have now come to the end of the thread and seen that you guys decided to let things drop, for the sake of general well-being here. And along comes a Ram and jumps in six months later - ooops! Next time I'll read right to the end and keep my horns out till then - yeah, sure I will!!
