Peri, if you have persistent suicidal feelings, I strongly encourage you to seek help, if you are not already. Although some people prefer meds and therapy, there are also other options for those who are not comfortable with that. I have been dealing with depression for 17 years, since I was 11 and have been suicidal for many long periods of time. I found that even reading about depression and seeking sites with others who have it or other mood disorders helped me. Different things work for different people.I know a lot of people will tell you 'you have a lot to live for or something to live for,' 'things will get better soon,' oh the list of worst things to tell suicidal ppl goes on and on. However, I think it is important to understand the feeling suicidal does not indicate a weakness or flaw in you. Most often it has to do with a medical condition, such a depression.
I know I may be repeating a lot of things you already know, but to be honest I can't help myself. If you have already sought help, you probably understand why.
Argh, I know I am intruding into your business, not knowing you at all, but if you need to talk to someone who has been dealing with this for a while, please feel free to e-mail me. Or, you can tell me 'thanks but you are a complete stranger who is overstepping the bounds.'
I don't get offended easily.
I hope that you find something that helps.
