Perfect!!
Ok knowfakes my new word in the urban dictionary!!! i am serious
Between last may till now i have brought a new word into existence and i have also taken it to international levels and lots of people are carrying the flame..
MUNTER!! is the word.. brilliant isnt it? definitions. There is no definite meaning it can adapt to nearly any siuation or person!!
if your stupid ..your a MUNTER
if your drunk ..your MUNTERED
if you think he/she is ugly..MUNTER
when your MUNTING or out for a MUNT you are generally under the influence ie going for a MUNT!!
if you live in a bad area you live in the MUNTERHOOD (this is not specific either as this could actually be where you are out MUNTING)!!and if its a bad area in the boonies or sticks as we say.. youre in MUNTERVILLE
This word has evolved in Scotland among the Club X taking(not a strict requirement) dance culture
after clubbing all night usually till about 3-4 groups of people get together usually at someones home(the after party) and just chill out at this point MUNTING is a praised event because MUNTING the real definition (my opinion only) is the ability to talk about absaloutly nothing for hours on end!! ..
My daughter has started a group with her friends called MUNTER MONDAY where they all ( students go out and get MUNTERED)
i truly hope you use this word when you next want to offend someones intellegence or cheering someone up by sharing your tales of MUNTERDOM it so deserves international status
dont you think??
P.S WHAT DO YOU CALL A RANDY/HORNY MUNTER?
A MOUNTER !!
hopefully this new word should eradicate all cuss words one day!!!
Carry the flame knowflakes..i say with my tounge FIRMLY IN MY CHEEK!!!
P.S again I think Taureans are smutty cussing people (sexual overtones)
capricorn in a stating the obvious cuss sense and funny
they also say aries are bad for it but my Daughter she is Aries with Leo asc so she is too lady like to cuss
well as far as i know anyway!!
LOVE C X
P.S This word is also now widely used in Cripple Creek xxx

lol Carinacai, I've made up swear words before.. funny ones. Lately I call ppl bannana milk shakes when they annoy me (lol don't ask.. i'm just weird)

I don't like swearing (this doesn't mean i don't like it on other ppl, it doesn't bother me to hear it in the leastest, I ignore most things i can't be stufed hearing) and nearly never do.. unless it's like a spur of the moment swear.. like if something's due and I left it home, get to uni and realise so I go fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk.. but it's never loud

I think there's a difference BETWEEN... 'jerry springer" swearing - ppl who constantly swear and make no sense. I'd agree that they don't have a very broad vocab and they do come across as stupid (but hey who knows there might still be the odd ball out with an IQ of 560 who wasted half his life away in some trailer park and didn't get the chance to learn much else but swear words) - AND just throwing a swear word in here or there or in an argument - I wouldn't say that's a sign of lack of intelligence

Star sign wise.. person i know who swears most is Sag/Taurus but he does it as a jk..
Person who couldn't stand swearing and thought a girl should never ever swear was a leo/cancer guy.. might I add I really disliked him lol sorry but I can't mention this guy without saying i really disliked him

And for part 2 no it doesn't bother me. I wouldn't stay away from someone who swears unless they swear AT me (call me names I mean). If they swear AT me a few times, chances are I wont speak to them much or completely ignore them in the future

Actually lol the Leo guy i just mentioned.. his ex girlfriend was a cancer.. apparently she constantly swore at him and was still calling him and being abusive after they broke up.. maybe that's why he got so anti-swearing..

But i don't personally know any cancers who swear much

Well this thread is indeed going where I expected it to be.
Heres another note:
The delivery of the Foul language is fantastic in case of a Taurean. It is the most hilarious when the same is delivered by Aquarian.

[I am not biased, but making my own observations]

Pidaua,

quote:
Oh and AC...if you are so into the people that cuss all the time then why don't you want them to cuss around your parents? Oh..yeah, because it is OFFENSIVE and how do your parent feel about a person that cusses all the time?

No, it's more a matter of my parents being overly religious. Also, I grew up not cussing the first 18 or 19 years of my life. The REASON I cuss now is as a relational tool. People respond well to people that use the same language. It's simple, and as plain as day.

--------------------------

My IQ is 141, so I really honestly don't think you have a leg to stand on when trying to link intelligence to it. Also, an intelligent person that does cuss also knows how to curb their cussing when appropriate. Trying to link cussing to a lack of intelligence is really going to be a tough thing to do.

I would say all signs swear alot. But Capricorn men seem to swear in the most foul vile nasty classless crude and rude ways possible!
My apologies to the rare non swearing
variety.

And Aries women can make my ears burn and my eyes bug out! And that is not easy! I am a Scorpio! But oooh the things they blurt out!
I sometimes wonder why they aren't considered the sexual sign instead of Scorpio.

Shut the F up all of you!

Kidding!

Maybe I dont know enough Taureans but the ones that I do know, do not swear like sailors. Neither do I. Though depending on who I'm with I can at times.

Who gives a f?

Some of you might find this interesting:

Osho on 'F*ck'

*edit - it wont take you there because of the swear in the link.

There's a better article on his brilliant thoughts on this but I cant find it right now....

Wow AG, I'm really very impressed! An IQ of 141, how about that. Last time I checked that was over the point of what is considered "genius" (140) from Stanford University's standards. "Genius is one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration." I have to point out though.
I have an IQ of around 126 (never taken a certified test, but they all turn out close to the same) which is over average, but no 141. Einstein had an IQ of 160 as I remember.

I would have to agree with you that people relate to other people who share their lingo. From what I observe, people show respect, and exceptance to those who use slang. They just don't think they are uppity, snobs for the most part. If you can relate to the people who you are trying to communicate to, and if they respect you, then that's what makes a true diplomat.

hi lovely,

i work in i-banking right now and yeah, i do agree with a lot of what you said. the type A, get it done in the most efficient way, and not having learned early on how to relieve stress in other ways. kind of like a quick "XYZ!!!" they're not unintelligent. but it can get out of hand and lead to undesirable consequences . . . of course, expletives are not the SOLE reason why the negative impressions are created by some people.

anywho, i am networking right now and i was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing a bit more of what you used to do at your firm? i am trying to learn more about other people's work environments and what experiences they had in their career paths. i am fishing for ideas and advice on what to do in the next phase of my life. would you help me out?

hi everybody,

to answer the questions:

1. all signs. no particular order. just what i've seen. though Virgo is the sign i've observed doing it the least.

2. no.

I swear, but I try to be creative about it.
IQ doesn't have anything to do with cussing and swearing. I think it is more of an expression of overwhelming exasperation, frustration, awe, etc., ie; the emotions. As far as IQ. Mine's 160. Funny thing is that I do not feel all that intellegent because there is so very much more to learn. I will never know it all...well not in one lifetime....Ha ha! I do not believe in an ending to the quest for knowledge, or an end to the cussing, cursing, swearing urge! Sometimes primal situations necessitate a primal reaction!

Yes, swearing is mostly a spur of the moment emotion thing.

WOW, I'm surrounded by Geniuses! This is interesting. IQ isn't everything, but wow you peeps are good at IQ tests! I've scored everywhere from 120 something(forgot lowest score) to 138. I'm still very young though, maybe I'll be a genius yet! lol. I think I scored the 138 when I was 11. I seem to be getting dumber, because the last one I think, was 126. Different test though.

No IQ tests are not the end all to be all to determine intellegence. I know this because when I was younger, I stuttered, had undiagnosed bad eyesight and was mildly dyslexic. I ended up in the special education class because I was a fat kid who spoke in stutters and all. The school system had become boring to me. They did not know that I had taught myself how to read and write beginning when I was 4 and a half years old. The kiddie books bored me to tears. The teachers sat me too far from the blackboard/chalkboard and I couldn't see it at all. So I fell behind the standard curricula and was lost in the cracks because of old school bigotry and biases. Then blessedly we aquired a new teacher. He was absolutely wonderful! He saw something beyond a fat withdrawn kid(I'd been raped shortly before that and also was affected with precocious puberty, having gone through it at 9 years old)who stuttered...and got me into some special testing programs. To everyone's utter amazement, the big fat, stupid, coke bottled glasses wearing(I finally got eyeglasses prior to his coming into my sad young life)weird, funny talking girl, had the highest IQ in the county! I wonder how many very bright young people are still being "misplaced".

PS, Bless you Mr.W ! Where ever you are!

Aphrodite, I was many things. I did just about everything within the realm of administration. Not only did I work in IB, but also Private banking, Operations and Human Resources within the same firm. Before joining this firm I was a failed stock broker

The most recent position I was responsible for was undergrad recruiting (analyst recruiting.) My responsibilities were; traveling to schools, participating in job fairs, screening applicants, managing our online database, posting ads and general administrative duties such as reimbursing students for their hotel and car rentals~ and stuff like that.

The bad news with IB is you will inevitably reach a ceiling unless you have an MBA or at least a BA in finance- neither of which *I* had. However, my salary in an "admin" posistion was greater hourly than most starting bankers out of school. Exec Asst./Secretary salaries are about 50-60K plus bonus in Los Angeles. Bonuses are anywhere from 10-25% of your yearly. And then whatever cash your banker happens to throw you at Christmas and throughout the year. In FAT times, its not unusual for an executive secretary (yes secretary) to earn 150K. Not bad eh? But when you are working for someone who is earning 2 million dollars there is an expectation and money is relative. It's not unusual for secretaries to pull all-nighters with the team. I know I did on several occasions.

I'm not sure what the ratio is now, but a bankers income used to be 25% salary and 75% performance bonus.

As you probably already know, It's a tough career path but rewards are limitless. Starting analysts work a minimum 80 PLUS hours crunching numbers and basically finding out every single detail about a particular company. They are hired in an apprentice type role where they essentially do all the drudge work for the managing directors (MBAs). They are typically hired on a two year contract. After two years, the financial analyst is expected to go to business school and complete thier training. Most analysts are burned out from the business and go on to other jobs in finance. Second or third tier investment firms will often hire them without an MBA.

But as far as the foul mouths~ it is so true about these guys. Even in California. It happens. But you accept it. It's sort of like a club in a way. Difficult to get in, but once you are there you are like family. And what you hear in the office stays with you. Know what I mean by that? The environment is too intense to go crying to HR~ there are much greater things to cry over

As far as IQ, i did an online test and it said 131, which according to this test was slightly above average.

Edited to add: You may enlist me for any help you may need. If you are in the LA area, I would be happy to talk with you and give you some useful contacts if you need them

Melissa

Wow Fayte.m, that is a really touching story. I knew there was just something special about you. You just sound like you have really lived a full life. That kind of gives a spark of inspiration, and hope.

Oh, hahah, yes, the kiddie books were terribly boring weren't they?

I say fudge all of the time because of that movie "a Christmas Story".... "Oh FUDGGGEEE!!!" LOL! that was so funny!
