Hello LL,

1. Well, please vote for what sign you think uses the most foul language.

2. (If you have time)Please also let me know if you would avoid friendship with such a person?

My response:

1. I am thinking Taurus, followed by Aries
2. No

The people here where I live in rural Ireland swear a lot, "fecking and shagging' being the favourite ones. The guy I know who is a real swearer is a Leo and he says f and c words a LOT - I am also known to use a few expletives at home (Scorp/Aries/Taurus) but not in company and try not to in front of my very "proper' son who if he catches me commiting the crime says "thats a very bad word mummy" . Am I offended, no, at times I feel it is appropriate, but when it is used in every sentence, I dont like that - love and swearing to all xxxx

Uummm.... hmmm, ... ME!! I'm full of colors, in language. Kinda funny, in that my Venus is Taurian but, that F- in' word, is the favorite... I am a Gemini with Scorpio Ascending and, Moon in Pisces ~
I have a friend who is triple earth and, very much, the 'party' because he is quite full of life and, has lots to share. In doing this, he has often been a study as well, because of his ability to use that F word soooo much, that literally noone, has been able to keep count! Dear as a friend, he is and so, to your other question, it would be answered with a Fu,... I mean, STRong, NO.
My Dad is a Leo and, he upholds a very, old school, attitude about the use of expletives but then, he has Virgo Ascending too

most people i know cuss whether its a little or a lot.
i think they are like word spice a dash makes things interesting but too much ruins the content.

sagittarian men....HOLY christ/taurean men

i think they're pretty equal in that one...however i wouldn't avoid a relationship with either one of them, however (sagittarians). i think sags absolutely wonderful my bf is a sag with an aqua moon, he swears so much even i have to tell him to calm it down. and my mouth can be as foul as a severely unsanitized junkyard,( i think that comes from my scorp sun/leo moon and just saying whatever i want most of the time) hehe. i think taurean men...blatantly swear the most, but sagittarian men say some extremely unacceptable things. like repulsive like who would think of that or say that kind of things...idk maybe it depends on the chart...my bfs got double the tactlessness so maybe its just him.

Yep..Taurus men, without a doubt and also Scorp women have the tendancy to make a sailor blush- yes, and Gemini women.

I dont think its a matter of signs but a matter of what one was or wasnt raised around. My father (taurus)cursed alot which I picked up on realy quick. My older sisters (pisces) first word was "$HIT" because of my mom (leo) ... so when i was born my mother changed the word to "CHIT" ... which i picked up on. And eventually from dad, understood CHIT to really be "$HIT" ... i have a very bad potty mouth. I dont have kids of my own but when they are around i really gotta bite my lip and think before i speak. I am a cappie. And i am very colorful with my words.I work with all men and have for the past number of years, including my father. Im use to hearing them on a daily basis. lol. Dad says I am his best fishing buddy, cause i dont quit (fishing), I can drink and swear with the best of em! His lil sailor - i am. ... but i dont swear at anyone. Which is were i consider swearing to be more polite (? if that makes sense) ... i think swearing at someone is hurtful. For me its more like when two lines are ringing and the xeroxs maching starts spittin out papers- thats the times that calls for a "Oh FECK or a WHAT THE FECK" I think all the variations of F*CK are my favorites. LOL

My aries also swears alot. as do his parents. But at times he can be hurtfull in his swearings. He has a tendancy to direct them at others. I have some gemini friends who are with in less that 24 hours apart. THEY swear alot. Atleast these two do. And they are hurtfull as well in their usage of the words.

on another note, my mother only uses the S (or CHIT) word. I have never heard her use any other swear words.

Oh and no i would never terminate a friendship based on curse words.

Oh, I didn't see that last part...yes, I would avoid someone that cussed all the time. It is abrasive and a sign of a lack of intelligence.

I do understand various occupations that may, at times, be vulger in their language. Mr. Taurus is an MP in the Army and he cusses ALOT when he is with his fellow soldiers - sometimes I have to gently let him know that it bothers me or that we are around children.

My cousins used to cuss like sailors..because their father was in the Navy and that is how they all talked.

In any case - I think that people can learn to stop the foul language if they really want to, it is unbecoming and makes the person come across in the manner in which they speak.

Leo, or Aquarius (One Capricorn I know)
I think alot of people with Leo, or Aquarius influences do it even if it is not their Sun sign.
I'm guilty of it sometimes to an extent (Virgo Sun, Aqua Asc., Leo Moon). I usually don't say anything comletely aweful, but quantity over quality for me I guess. Virgo cancels it out alot.

I would not avoid a friendship with them, I have friends who curse like sailors, but theyu are wonderful, loving people. It disgusts me sometimes, but I'm not going to avoid them because of it. What is a word anyway? Some words that are considered "bad" never meant anything bad at all, until society made them that way.
I won't avoid someone who could be a wonderful person, even if their vocabulary is a little colourful, over something as petty as that.

TP~ haha.

pidua, I don't agree that cursing equals lack of intelligence. I spent my career in an investment banking office of a very well known bank, most of my collegues had MBAs or JDs~ and ALL of them cursed and most had hot tempers. I think people who use foul language are lacking coping skills more than anything else. Some high functioning, determined adults don't learn how to deal with thier anger and frustration and they resort to short 4 letter words to express themselves-quickly. Its pretty effective if you think about it. These people are highly intelligent, type-A, get-tbe-job done in the most efficient way-type people. You know what I mean?

As far as astrology goes, I would look to merc and mars & pluto aspects.

Well, I've seen some pretty outrageous statements here. I cussed the worst in my life while I was in the Navy, but as soon as I got out it once again became less socially acceptable to do so, and I curbed myself.

Taureans are my best friends, and, yes, they cuss, but there are quite a few of them that don't cuss to the degree stated in this thread. Taurus are great at making a good first impression, and they certainly have self-control when it comes to appearances.

This is absolutely un-f*cking true. There are loads and loads of successful people who aren't afraid to curse. That's a ridiculous statement to have made.

It is unbecoming, and I would hope that my friends would never do it around my parents if my parents ever came around. However, it doesn't diminish the person. You are friends with people who cuss, so you must know their value.

-----------------------

I really did my best to try to pick what sign cusses the most, but there are too many within each sign that don't really cuss that much. Like I consider Aries and Virgos to be quite loud and demonstrative, but Aries only cusses in a moment of excitement, and Virgo cusses more after they've been drinking. Taurus cuss, but they use it as a relational tool to connect themselves to their perceived audience. I think this may also be the case with Gemini.

So, in the end, I don't see it as much of an issue.

Hey, say what you want. I stand by my assessment that it IS a sign of a lack of intelligence.

I am not sure WHO you worked with, but I have worked for several big companies (Biotech) negotiating deals with CEO's, scientists, distributors etc...at a VERY LARGE well known university as a Diagnostic Lab manager and NEVER once did I hear one of these people cuss like sailors.

IN FACT, if they did cuss, it was usually in reference to being startled or screwing something up, still, they had SOME modicum of decency to apologize for what they had said.

I am NOT saying I am a prude, but I do not have alot in common with someone that cusses every other second. IF it was so acceptable we would hear it in EVERY conversation instead of sparingly or in regards to people that can't find the proper words to define their emotion, point or reference without having to use an expletive.

Maybe in YOUR circles it is acceptable, but in mine it isn't. I don't give a crap if the person is a CEO, banker or sailor, it is disgusting and draws negative attention.

So, I stand by what I said and WILL not feel ashamed for admitting that I would avoid that kind of person.

Oh and AC...if you are so into the people that cuss all the time then why don't you want them to cuss around your parents? Oh..yeah, because it is OFFENSIVE and how do your parent feel about a person that cusses all the time?

lol ... has anyone ever seen the famous George Carlin "7 words you can't say on television" ??? Thats hillarious.

here's a link to part of the act ... i'd post it here, but all the good parts would be blocked. http://www.erenkrantz.com/Humor/SevenDirtyWords.shtml

In my opinion, i dont see swearing, cursing or cussing as a sign of lack of intelligence. I think it shows a sort of creativity with the use of the words. Like the "F" words has so many possible uses. Its actually a very versitile word. No other word in the english language has so many possible uses. Its just a matter of how one percieves the message is all. There are good and bad uses but thats not the word, its the way in which it was used (or phrased)... dont get me wrong i have respect and dont use it around people who dont use them. Or at least try not to. Just as with children i keep a low profile on the profantiy. What it all comes down to is ..everyone has different opinions and some people are offended easier than others by meer words that may or may not be taken outta context, and may or may not be bad. its all a matter of how ones hears the words.

LMAO...give me a break. A Sign of creativity. In what world or universe are we now living in where we look at someone that has to say "fu*ck you fu*cktard" as a sign of creativity?

There are only so many swear words and so many ways to say them. Get a freaking dictionary and thesaurus and get creative using intelligent words.

LMAO..what a joke.

Oh and Lovely..sorry but I just don't really believe that ALL of your colleagues cursed and had hot tempers. You live in Cali, where I come from, the HOME of being POLTICALLY CORRECT to the point of making one barf - basically, it is the home of the lawsuit (although it does compete with several eastern states on that point).

Most MBA's and JD (the latter especially) have to take REAMS of harrassment courses - so cursing and having a hot temper is something that can bring on a hefty lawsuit / dismissal should someone get offended.

again ... its all in the way its said and percieved.... Sure ...when you say "******* retard" thats offensive. I dont agree with that "way" of talking either. Thats the "bad" ways of saying these words i was speaking of.

Here's creativity (& imagination)for ya:

Fraud: I got ****** at the used car lot.

Ignorance: ****** if I know.

Trouble: I guess I am ****** now!

Aggression: **** you!

Displeasure: What the **** is going on here?

Difficulty: I can't understand this ******* job.

Incompetence: He is a **** -off.

Suspicion: What the **** are you doing?

Enjoyment: I had a ******* good time.

Request: Get the **** out of here!

Hostility: I am going to knock your ******* head off!

Greeting: How the **** are you?

Apathy: Who gives a **** ?

Innovation: Get a bigger ******* hammer.

Surprise: **** ! You scared the **** out of me!

Anxiety: Today is really ******
-----------------------------------------
isnt "crap" another form of $hit?? And i believe you substituted "freaking" for f*cking ... talk about being creative! good job!

Again..that is not creative in the least..in fact those phrases are extremely common. As least the word fu*cktard (Not fuc*king retard) is creative.

And angel, I really don't need your patronizing attitude. I have been around long enough to know the majority of curse words and how to merge them with common words / phrases. I WAS a teenager once..LOL..

Maybe you could use your creativity to come up with other ways to say that "You got ****** at the used car lot".

How about "I got duped by the schmuck car salesmen" or "I got royally swindled by that conman called a sales person"

Saying "I got *****" saves time, but it is NOT creative.
