The thread is titled "Which sign uses the most foul language" taking that into context it would denote one that uses it in a prolific manner, NOT someone that just uses it sparingly or when in certain company.

Therefore I stand by my earlier statement concerning people that use foul language (as a means to communicate) appear less intelligent than others.

I don't care what your IQ is, it means nothing to me as I have my own well above average / genius level IQ..as do MANY people on this forum. Genius is NOTHING without application, as are many other talents / skills. If you feel you must cuss in order to communicate with people, then go right ahead. I have not felt that need, even though I am engaged to a military police officer and he / his friends have a tendancy to curse ALOT. They seem to understand me just fine and some of them even tend to curb their cursing around me.

I guess it is a GOOD thing they aren't of the mindset that communication stops when one person does not stoop to the level of cussing in order to get their point across.

Now... had you not been such a wretch about the whole thing, I would have said "Yes, I agree with you - people cuss in various circumstances and around certain people. That does not make them less intelligent, but they ARE changing in order to blend in to what they perceive as being acceptable for that population. I also have a religious parent and a former undercover agent for a father (a double Cappy). He does not condone cursing UNLESS one is absolutely livid or explaining a situation - EVEN though he cussed on a regular basis as a special agent."

Again...let me get make this point clear- I did not say that people that use cursing sporadically or for emphasis are stupid. I said that people that feel the need to communicate on a regular basis using curse words are less intelligent.

I also spent the last 5 years in Biotech / business working in the Agriculture market with Cattlemen, poultry raisers and even hog farmers. Again, most of them did not cuss- maybe it was because they felt they didn't want to curse in the presence of females or maybe it was the way they were brought up. They may have used an expletive here and there, but the ones that seemed to cuss the most were the industry sales people (especially the men).

Now I am in Public Health / Bioterrorism and I am around more people that cuss than I have ever been in any other time in my post high school life (with the exception of when I was in college).

The man I love is ukranian and part japanese. Doesn't look japanese at all but has junko as a last name. He has taught himself some through japanese import games LOL.
