Oh, I just saw your other question. You can see where your Asc has progressed on astro. com too. Look at the Progressed chart alongside the natal. I think there are two options there - a single progressed chart and one done right outside your natal. Good luck!

My progressed chart:

Sun: Cancer
Asc: Leo
Moon: Aries
Venus: Gemini
Mars: Still the same old Libra

Ew @ my cappy's progressed chart:

Sun: Aquarius (Yikes)
Asc: Pisces
Moon: Pisces
Venus: Capricorn
Mars: Still same old Gemini

------------------
Gemini sun, Cancer rising, Taurus moon
--------------------------------------------------
I would fly to the moon and back...If you'll be my baby.

Sun 8' into Aquarius
Moon 2' into Sagittarius (Yay!)

After that I have trouble with some of the symbols. They don't look exactly as they're supposed to. Interesting stuff. Glad to be rid of the Virgo Moon, or at least taking on new Sag resources.

TP, The Prog. Sun moves one degree per year. I'm not sure exactly about the others (they all vary and the progressed planets move slower than transiting ones which are like, 'real time'). But usually Merc and Venus are not too far from the Sun. It will be different if one of them was retro when you were born.

Your house cusps change too. Pay attention to when they conj. a natal planet.

Yes, my natal moon is there.

I see now in the Progressed chart in the pdf file that my Ascendant IS in Cancer now.

Mercury is now in Aqaurius (from Sag)
Venus is now in Capricorn (From Sag)
Mars is now in Sag (From Scorpio)

So, I keep all the old stuff, and start adding aspects of these?

hey ag, i've seen you bust your own bawls more than once at having a virgo moon. why do you dislike your moon and specifically how is it causing you trouble? AND..is it possible you're really feeling the loose square between sun & moon?

also, you're virgo moon is 29 deg [see anaretic theory], therefore isn't your emotional orientation closer to qualities of libra?

26t, how about you?

ok, back to topic. I believe we go through sign evolution yes, but i would classify then as growth phases while within the same body. since i'm virgo i would have a distant understanding of other signs because they are part of my being, not because i have been one of those signs preceded by virgo in a former life, but because in the womb i traveled through the previous 8 or 9 signs before stopping at virgo

Cool AG and TP.....good ole Anaretic degrees. : /

Yeah, do that. Progressions are used mainly to show ones evolution. Though prediction comes into play as well, when you add in other factors especially.

The progressed moon is a great 'timer' in a chart, a very important thing to watch, look for fated events when it returns or conjuncts natal planets. Mars is another 'timer' (transit wise).

Hey lovely!

Yes, I often feel very much like a Libra mooner. My moon is also conj my NN. It's an interesting part of my chart. Hard to deal with at times.

quote:
If a natal planet is found at 29 degrees of any sign, also known as the Anaretic degree, there can be some real issues with decision-making in that part of the personality represented by the energies of the planet. The native may evaluate and re-evaluate situations before making a move one day, and the next day, jump into the action without listening to himself or herself!

Add to that the Libran influence. : /

I like your theory on growth phases btw.

Actually, I'm about to have my first progressed lunar return (Sept.). Right now it's at 26' Virgo - trine my Sun! So that's good. Prog. Moon moves pretty fast, as far as progressions go at least.

And where's yours Miss lovely*?

*lovely,

Yes, I believe Aries-chick once asked me about that (whether or not I feel more Libran emotionally). I'm pretty sure my answer is that I feel both.

Why am I against my Virgo Moon? Mostly it's that feeling of being unlovable. Who would want that? Is it there? Yeah, it is. I've simply got too much love to give to be happy feeling unlovable.

I recently did a thing in http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005872.html . It says that Libra's my strongest sign, which was news to me, but I do welcome that. Virgo's 5th on that list.

I guess I also don't appreciate my Virgoan perfectionism. It's gotten me in more trouble than it has helped me. I mean I love it if I've got the time for it, but the work environment pace is much too fast for me to do the perfect job I want to do.

So that's why.

AG

how about our houses? do you think they'll evolve too? or does that depend on our birthtime? this is very interesting. I've been thinking about it for a while...

awww. i'm sorry dear ag. you seem so sincere and self-effacing in your post. don't u think it may be the virgo enabling you to be so damned honest about the SELF you live in and love with? you should kiss your moon

in medieval astrology, virgo was the moon goddess and is dignified when matched with the moon. i can post some supporting articles if you like..

any chance your feeling unloveable is the 6 degree square between male (sun) and female (moon)~

Hey cool! I'm looking forward to the change of my Asc into Pisces (right now it's in late degree Aqua) and my Sun into Cancer.

AG, I know all about the Virgo moon perfectionism thing. :O!

Hi Esther! If you mean with progressions, yes, they 'evolve' or move into different degrees and signs. Check out the extended chart selection at astro.com.

lovely*,

I think Virgo affects me quite a bit. Yes, it's a very self critical sign. That's why I believe it to be the culprit. Also, in one of the reports I've had done it implicitly says that. Of course, I can't seem to find that report, so who knows? I did find a report that says lots of nice things about my moon aspects, though.

I'd forgotten about secondary progressed planets.

My progressed stats are:
Ascendant ~ 23 Scorpio
Sun ~ 23 Taurus
Moon ~ 9 Cancer
Venus ~ 5 Cancer
Mercury ~ 15 Gemini
Mars ~ 25 Pisces
Midheaven ~ 13 Virgo

I'll have to check those of my family later on.

AG, here is an article from Astrology Weekly regarding the SUN square MOON...

"This suggests the existence of considerable inner stress and tension within the personality, where solar will is in conflict with deep-rooted feelings, emotions and instincts, and where the consious and evolutionary self may be trying to move in a direction which is contraty to certain habit patterns, especially those connected with security and protection of self boundaries.

The ongoing struggle is in resolving contradictory inner messages, a psychological tendency which may have its roots deep within childhood perceptions of the parental relationship and your sense of emotional contact with your parents. As the Moon signifies the mother, and the Sun the father, in this context, there is the implication that there was a crucial problem inherent in that parental relationship, perhaps incompatibility on some vital level, or a lack of communication which may have led to a marriage breakdown in some respect. This may not have been evident on the surface of that relationship, but existed as an underlying current within the domestic psyhcic atmosphere which you registered. There may have been a partial identification with one parent to the exclusion of the other, perhaps because one parent had little time to spend with you. Somehow the inner dynamics have been distorted, resulting in personal frustration and difficulties in joining will and feelings in co-operation together.

Unless steps are taken to achieve individual integration, you are liable to suffer from emotioanl insecurity founded on a resistance to fully accepting the nature of your habitual feeling responses. A probable action that you take is inner denial and repression, and this will have eventual consequences of intensifying those inner tensions and possible personality splits. Yet because these powerful emotions seem to burn within you, you try to control their release through expressing them in daily life, and because of the pressures that can accumulate you may display argumentative, provocative and belligerent tendencies in your relationships at times.

The danger is falling victim to your own powerful desire nature, and being perpetually frustrated through aiming high and losing an appreciation of what exists in the present. There can be a restless, searching qulity to this apsect which results from the need to resolve deep inner conflicts; the poblem is finding the way to achieve those desires. This need stimulates inner questioning, especially related to 'What's it all about?' and 'What is the measning of life?' These become promptings from your inner Sun, encouraging you to start on your heroic quest to discover the solar centre and the spiritual dimension of life.

Yet you can often act as your own worst enemy, reacting in ways that diminish any likelihood of success. You may fail to see how you can utilise existing resources to deepen life enjoyment or reach aims; you may refuse to make necessary compromises; you may consciously devalue your potential and abilities, eroding away self-confidence; you may clash with others who could have been supportive to your efforts. These unconscious patterns of unresolved frustrations interfere between your conscious will and deeper needs, tending to negate satisfaction for either. Sometimes, as a result of this inner stress, all you feel like doing is being very destructive, liberating the repressed energies by either verbal or physical expressions of bad temper.

The problem facing you is the movement from 'here' to 'there'. That abyss stares you in the face and will not go away, and apparently, try as you might, you still cannot cross over to the promised land. Being 'here' feels wrong, and you believe that you should be 'there', but how can it be achieved? The only way to gain your aims is through a radical transformation, so that the 'old you' remains on this side, and the 'new you' appears there to claim your ambition. This is the challenge confronting the hero at every stage of his quest, and each step forward on his path represents difficulties overcome on the journey towards the magnetic light that he senses and follows. "

Wow! That's pretty powerful. I wonder how I get to and through this radical transformation. I'm guessing that perhaps it's already started.

quote:
These become promptings from your inner Sun, encouraging you to start on your heroic quest to discover the solar centre and the spiritual dimension of life.

Does this indicate to you as it does to me that I am to follow my Capricornian Sun's path? That I am to use my logic and discipline to work toward my ambitions?

I appreciate you copying that for me.

Thanks,
AG
