I don't know if anyone has a good answer for this, but it will be interesting to see people's opinions.Supposing you believe in some version of reincarnation, do you believe that after going through this life with this sun sign that you will start the next life with the next ranking sun sign? (For example, I'd go from Cap on to Aquarius.) Do you think that is the point of this life? Is that the reason Capricorns seem to grow to be more at ease and young as they grow older (to emulate and grow into the Aquarius sign)? Do you think we actually take on the next signs traits before leaving this life? If this is true, it definitely gives us all something to look forward to, though Pisces being the end sign gives me more reason for contemplation. ------------------ Sun in Capricorn, Moon in Virgo, Asc. in Gemini. When left to my own devices, you'll find I'm full of surprises - Me IP: Logged |

love this theory..and hey, maybe Pisces has a second childhood...their old souls learn how to experience the world through the eyes of a child, Aries-style IP: Logged |

I was wondering about this once. The nodes can say alot. My north/true node is in cancer and my south node in capricorn. Maybe I was a cap in my past life. Hmmm.

AG ~In his book "You - Forever" Tibetan lama T. Lobsang Rampa says that many souls must incarnate into each DEGREE of a sign before they have mastered the lessons of the sign..... Nowhere does it mention that anyone has to proceed in an orderly fashion around the zodiac wheel..... 'Zala IP: Logged |

I just thought that maybe it would make sense. Of course, there's the aspect of whether or not the person learns what they need to learn in order to proceed, but the progression of the signs is already implied throughout astrology (as far as I can tell), and as I illustrated with Capricorn's known tendency to become less rigid and young as they get older it seems they might be on the path to the fun-loving, aloofness of Aquarius. I don't know that I'm right or anything. I just want to see the discussion. IP: Logged |

Hmmm.. I think this is true in a more symbolic than literal sense, if you consider the theory that there is no linear progression of lives, and all lives are happening 'at once' in a sense... so we might be experiencing multiple dimensions of ourselves in different sun sign incarnations at different space-time continuums! (bit of a late night here!) but i dont think its as simple as going from one to the next... although also being a pisces, i wouldn't mind experiencing the relative simplicity of being aries in my next life! a sort of rebirth of innocence. i also think we probably go back and forth around the cycle to explore different aspects we've perhaps not fully integrated before. as a pisces i do definitely feel that thing of being all signs at once, though...IP: Logged |

I don't really believe that we move around the dial, from Aries to Pisces ~ I have thought about it though. I'm of the opinion that my family and I are probably right around the same point in our 'evolution' or what have you ~ we balance each other out when it comes to our strengths and weaknesses. I'm an Aries, my sister is a Cappy ~ Mum is a Sadge, and Dad is a Taurus.Brian Weiss and others who have worked in the field of past-life regression, seem to think that at some point you will come back as something/somebody you have hated; you get to live out all sides of a situation. I don't consider myself an 'old soul' but I'm not a newbie either. IP: Logged |

I was watching Montel Williams the other day, and he had Sylvia Brown on. (She's on frequently.) She said "I'd hate to say it, but people who commit suicide end up going right back where they left." My second point: Don't make fun of me for watching Montel. Third point: I'm waiting Kurt Cobain.IP: Logged |

I have his past life regression cd and 3 books. I love Brian Weiss. I love sylvia. She's on montel every wednesday but in the summer no. She goes on vacation. I booked 2 tickets to go for the spring.

I have also heard that you look at the sign that your Saturn occupies in order to determine your last sign. If that is the case, then we do not move up a sign in our next life (I have Saturn in Taurus). Or... maybe we just skip ahead depending on how darn good we were LOL.....IP: Logged |

Hmmm, that is interesting since you also have a Gemini rising. The only connection I have with Saturn in the 8th house would be having the traditional ruler of the 8th house conjuncting my Ascendant.
Edger Cayce has a whole thing on Karma and past lives. I am trying to remember the website... and I think had Venus Files in the title, but I am not sure. I can't find it here because of our firewall. Too bad. IP: Logged |

Maybe reincarnation isn't as nearly as clean or as nice as we'd like it be. As humans we want everything to fit in a tight orderly package. Perhaps afterlife is A)Just like before we were born, NOTHING or B)Too complex/bizarre for us to comprehend. We truly do not really understand the time and space around us. The more we discover the more we realize how little we know. If only it were so easy as to move into the next sign in the next life, everything would be so tidy and neat. It's easy to have intuitions/assumptions and turn them into beliefs. Believing is easy. Not knowing is much much more difficult. IP: Logged |

A large number of highly rolled houses indicate what astrologers would call an "old soul."Traditionally 12th house placements are considered a "do over" for that planets placement. 1st houses mean you're a babe in respect to that planets placement. IP: Logged |

Without getting into the reincarnation aspect of it all right now - astrologically, I think the explanation for that has to do with the progressed Sun. A Cappy (or any other sign's) Sun will progress into the next sign (moves 1 degree every year) at a certain point and you will start taking on those Sun sign traits. If someone was born at the very beginning of a sign, then about 30 years later their progressed Sun would move into the next sign (30 degrees in every sign) and you would feel a shift. Secondary progressions are very interesting (and important) things to watch. Take a look at when your progressed Sun moved into Aquarius, Acousic God. IP: Logged |

How do I do that 26Taurus? (That's fascinating by the way)It looks like I was born on the 5th degree of Capricorn. That would make me 7 degrees into Aquarius. Does everything else shift at the same time? Is my ascendant now Cancer? IP: Logged |

Hi AG,Go to astro.com and pull up your progressed chart in the Extended Chart selection. You will see that your Sun is - most likely - no longer in Capricorn. If you fiddle around with the date, you can go 'back in time' and see exactly when it was that your Sun moved into Aqua. Should be around age 25 since your natal Sun is at 5' Cap. You'll also see how the other planets have shifted since you were born. The outer planets dont move much but there will defintely be some shifts with the inner planets. It is significant when they change houses and conjunct natal planets. Progressions should be read right along with transits (and of course the natal - always the natal chart). All of my astro books are packed away right now, otherwise I'd recommend some titles to you.......I'm sure you can find some good info on progressions on the net though. Most astrologers use what is called Secondary Progressions, 'a day for a year'. IP: Logged |

Hehe, if that's the case, I skipped Aquarius and Pisces and went straight to Aries. IP: Logged |
