I do not believe I used the word 'favour' during any part of my post.  I simply said 'more-fashionable'. Read my words again, maybe a little slower this time. I was not implying Water and Earth signs post any less than Fire or Air. My observations were designed to outline a point Lauren nicely made. Fire and Air signs value the abilities of intellect, and often (i say often not always) view Emotion as a lower form of understanding. Personally, I have met people of all sunsigns in my life, and the characteristics they express go beyond the simplicity of sunsign descriptives. I say again for the 3rd time, and hope someone other than Lauren actually recognises this in context to the conversation - people are a composition. To use statemenst like 'a cancer is selfish and unsacrificing' or 'a gemini is fickle and flighty' is fine - as long as you are referring to a person who has ALL of their astrological aspects residing in this one sign. Its quite disconcerting for me to find people arguing about a sun signs negativity, and assigning blame to each other, especially after reading Linda Goodmans Sunsign book recently. Maybe some of you should re-read her book, make it fresh in your minds and hearts, so you will remember why this forum exists in the first place - as a tribute to her wonderful and KIND observations. point taken .but everyone over here ( regardless of thier signs ) agrees with your point , these have been repeatedly made people . the best example would be 'lauren '. but its the charcter of this forum that here topics get discussed in far more open ways then the genral boundaries of astrology . i understand what u have said but what we have been talking was in a very generalised tone. it isn't personal against any sign . btw, welcome to the this wonderful and shall i say differnet forum. Its VERY important to remember that the 12 signs are like light through a prism. That light of creation or spirituality or God or whatever you'd like to call it... the world would fall apart with the abscence of an influence of just one sign. Each plays an equally important role in the state of affairs in worldly matters, although some play in the background, some in the foreground. Aries- No one would get anything started. Pisces- No one would have compassion for his fellow man (this is one of my fav. signs btw). Libra and Virgo-The world would be a mess. Chaos beyond belief. You get my point....IP: Logged |

I've posted something along these lines a few times. I feel the exact same way about it. I've also met and known a lot of different people and I feel everyone has an essence specific to them and them only, regardless of their sign or their entire chart for that matter.

Actually I'm not going to say that cancers are selfish because I'm sure every cancerian in the world is different, and there might be some not selfish, or selfless or etc. I mean we really can't just give one quality to cancer, there are always exceptions to the rule. I've met both different kinds of cancers.
Cancerrg~ SGA probably meant the cancers in her life were a bit selfish, doesn't mean you or the other cancers are selfish too.
Actually this whole concept of selfishness itself is a relative term, its all like a matter of perception, like suppose a person cares first about his/her well being before the others, some might find it selfish, and some might think thats perfectly fine and smart, so really no use of arguing on that  .From my experience, I know two cancers, and both are born on the same day, and one of them is completely self-less, caring, very funny, motherlike and the other is kind of selfish (in my point of view), kind of insecure, etc. and they have very similar birth charts, but both are different. First one is more secure and second one is kind of lonely. I think I would say according to my pattern in life that normally the more secure the cancers, the more caring and giving they are, since they finally feel confident about themselves'. It probably wouldn't apply to all of you here, and I really don't know, it must be different pattern for you.

yes everyone thanks for clarifying that i am not extending my perceptions over the entire Sun sign known as Cancer. instead, badly aspected cancer influences can also make a person this way , or bad fourth house placements--just like every house gone bad has negatives associated with it, Cancerrg this is what i meant by vices. Second, Cancerrg u know your my favoritest cancer and so that doesnt apply to you  besides the truth is i dont know u in the 'real' life setting, only in cyberspace. so how can i make such a strong judgement call on you when i havent seen you in action? third, betelgeuse, i think you are referring to my coming across as disrespectful? but thats another thing with this forum, we all have our cyber voices and tones. being a libra rising with mars in gemini / 9th i am super argumentative, i can even convince myself im not a gemini  but that doesnt mean im yelling or anything. CAPS TEND TO GIVE THAT IMPRESSION. but no yelling going on....breathing jes normal thanks. btw betelgeuse whats ur own sun sign/rising, major influences? Love

Its cool, I wasn't aiming the respect comment at anyone in particular. I am in complete agreement with you SG, that tone and intention can be lost in cyberspace.You want to know my astrological influences? hehe I feel analytical scrutiny approaching. Well I guess I should get use to such things on a forum dedicated to exploring the human psyche I am Gemini Sun, Virgo Rising. Major Influences:- triple conjunction of Chiron, Venus, Mars in 8th house, triple conjunction of Sun, Jupiter, MC in 10th house, Neptune & IC conjunction in 4th house, Pluto in the 1st house. this one cancer girl i knew was way into herself which was werid cause she didnt have any leo placements. she would always talk smack about everyone and tell herself that she was better than others. and she would always ask people for stuff and say if i asked her for a quater for the payphone she flipped out and was like stop asking me for stuff it mine go away. thats kinda selfish she would do thst with makeup and her food also her money of course. never a shrer unless it was something in it for her.IP: Logged | |
