Jane, she'll scare anyone, even me.. She is terrifying to watch when she's angry, I just can't grasp how the eyes of a two-yearold can throw daggers like hers... I posted her chart here not so long ago http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/013308.html I'm worried about how we will get along as she gets older. But hopefully she will mellow a bit IP: Logged |

Wow, Fluke, a double Scorp! You're in for a fun time, lol.I'm only a Scorpio sun, with Mercury and Uranus also in Scorpio (Sag moon, Gem asc). I've always had very intense eyes, but only when I wanted to. I also used to scare the other kids away when I'd get angry and glare at them. Some adults too. Never phased my Aries mom though, lol! My advice would be to talk and suggest things to her, not yell and tell her what to do. Teach her and let her know that you know she is smart enough to do the right thing. Many Scorps will not allow themselves to be thought of as unintelligent by anyone. IP: Logged |

Hi I'm new. Sort of. I have been reading and trying to absorb all the posts. The knowledge is endless ... and my brain is so small ... My question - what type of person would a Moon, Asc, Mer & Nep in Scorpio be like? Have tried to find info but I'm still a novice.
Thanks. IP: Logged |

No, not as intense as the sun sign. Rising signs are just a mask, remember that, they aren't the real person. Rising signs tend to be more prominent when you first meet someone, once you get to know a person you may not even notice their rising sign.Don't put too much emphasis on the rising sign, unless its extremely aspect. I think astrologers tend to exaggerate its importance. Do, however, look at what sign yoru ruling planet is in, this taints your rising and adds flavor to your whole chart. Ex, if you have a scorpio asc, is your pluto in libra? This adds a quality of friendiness and balance to temper that intensity. You may be "intense" about partnerships or passionate about peace. Notice how much linda focused on sun signs....hmmmm, i wonder why?? Rising signs tend to drop with age as well, you may see them receding from your personality during your twenties., IP: Logged |

While I can see how people want to focus on other areas of the chart, I think dimissing the importance of the rising sign is a mistake, and people seem to do that when they use the "mask" analogy. As if the rising sign is fake and not part of the person. The person is not the sun, not the moon, not the ASC, not the chart, but a combination of these things. I think it's a core expression, a general flavor/base to the chart, which is why it gets noticed first (like someone noticing you are female or male, or white)- then you start noticing the other parts of the person. If you're not having your ascendant honored it tends to throw everything else into chaos.IP: Logged |

Artemis I'm not surprised to see that response coming from you, from what I've seen you're very vain and appearance oriented. I encourage you to look beyond the surface.IP: Logged |

That doesn't apply on everyone. I have witnessed the complete opposite in oh so many people around me.IP: Logged |

I agree with Green Fairy. I was more like my Sun Sign when I was younger. Now I am more like my Ascendant.MM IP: Logged |

I agree. The most important part is the Sun Sign itself! The Acendant and the Moon definately color the picture but ultimately, the energy and the essence one mostly runs on is the Sun Sign.I do think Linda made perfect sense to this. I also agree with Linda about no such thing as the cusp; she wrote this in Love Signs. I do not believe in the cusp; I have studied this for years now and have come to the same conclusion she had. Many people think they're in the cusp because they were born too close to the other sign. For example, a person may think he/she is Leo/Virgo cusp... when indeed they are a Leo with the Ascendant in Virgo! This is just something I have also discovered. IP: Logged |

I think the ascendant is very important. I never cared much for the mask analogy. That just seems too calculating, like we've all been programmed with an astrological facade we use. I think of the ascendant more as a filter that filters what we put out but also what we take in. I think someone with a Pisces ascendant both interprets and presents himself to the world much differently from someone with a Leo ascendant, even if the two people share the same Sun and Moon sign.IP: Logged |

In my own personal experience, the sun sign was the "mask" and the rising seemed more specific in its function.IP: Logged |
