Many thanks Pid.....for yer understanding...its hard to see my Dad this way. Such a lovely kind sensitive man....He told me he only started to cry this last few months....and now he cant stop...  His psychiatrist said if it was nowadays his ma and pa would have been prosecuted for neglect. Poor Dad. Sorry guys, if I turned this humourous thread into a serious one... Please carry on... Thanks ladies....very much appreciated.... The world is so full of hard nosed cold people isnt it....my family are so sensitive and vulnerable. I spoke to my Dad yesterday. We talked of how we had both felt suicidal in the past and had felt the urge to run away from everything... It felt like talking to a very good and dear friend....I even broke down and cried to him.,,,,,something he usually does to me... I feel its so important to connect and have peace with yer parents, or at least one of them before their time comes to pass over... Am so grateful for the love I have for my Dad....so very grateful indeed....I am blessed, and so is he.....  IP: Logged |

Haha!It's funny you should mention that. I read the word 'shirty' in a book from the Uk and I fell in love with it. The definition I read is "to come on all pompous".

No, there's no need to aplogize. I think it sucks when we don't get the love and approval we need from the people we need it most from. I had that problem with my father, with whom I also share a double whammy Venus-saturn opposition. I think it's good that your father is seeking counseling as that is something I would never have the balls to do.  IP: Logged |

i really enjoyed these. as a leo i can say i did identify with the leo one; although i think my mom hated me developing stage fright at puberty and not realizing my early promise!! or maybe that was because it meant she had to deal with my divaisms personally!!though its only part truth they all ring true, and though few mothers really hate their kids it is fun to see our quirks through others' eyes!
