That may explain the attraction felt when I meet guys with heavy Mars, especially if they also have Mars conjunction Ascendant(which I have as well), I feel alive and sexy because I am so familiar with the Mars vibe thing! And sometimes all it takes is a powerful T-square to get things buzzing!

quote:
I think that his Sun AND AC activate your Sun-Moon-midpoints shows an enormous attraction.

Thanks Darkdreamer. Actually it is my ASC which square his Sun/Moon midpoint.

Regarding sexual attraction, do you think that house ruler aspect would be strong as same as direct planet aspects like Venus and Mar?

For my case, there are following aspects:
My Venus (my 8th house's ruler) quindecile his Venus (his 8th house's ruler)
My Mar exactly oppose his 8th house cusp
My Mar oppose his Uranus (his Uranus conjunct his 8th house cusp)
My Jupiter is in his 8th house

Also, we have :
My Mar conjunct his Jupiter
His Sun trine my Mar
My Venus quindecile his Pluto
Venus conjunct Mar in 8th house in Davidson chart

Do you think that there should be sexual attraction between us? Who should feel more?

Alisa,

sorry, I got that wrong with the Sun-Moon-midpoint. It`s interesting. I have a smiliar connection with a guy. His Sun-Moon-midpoint opposes the ruler of my 1st house (it`s similiar to the AC).

Regarding house - rulers, planets in houses and aspects to the cusp.
Well, I`m still pondering about this, too, but I think that everything that touches your houses would be among the strongest aspects, because nothing is more individual in your chart than the houses. Just think of it, everyone born at the same day or maybe even in the same week as you has the same aspects to this guy. But the houses are very individual, someone born 2 hours later, may have different signs at the cusps and therefore relates differently to the same guy.
So, yes I think houses are important. But regarding aspects to the cusp, I`d keep the orb very narrow; I prefer a 1° orb (at the most I`d consider an orb of 3°, but that seems to be very wide).

I am very curious with this one. I know if Sun or moon make hard aspects to Sun/moon MP. The owner of Sun/Moon would have very much feeling. However, I wonder whether ASC would work too or not. How does he feel?

I think all personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) and points (AC, MC, Node) work with midpoints.

I read that in this way: My AC activates his Sun-Moon, so he probably reacts to my outer appearance or my way to present myself in relationships rather than my general personality (Sun) or my emotional nature (Moon).

I think, if my midpoints are activated mainly by the Venus, Mars and AC of another person, then the attraction may be mainly physical. However, this is just a thought, I don`t know if there`s some truth in it at all.

Well, you asked how he feels. If I only knew! lol
However, I guess he must be drawn to me, cause he keeps on coming back. I tell him (against my own feeling) that we`re too different to ever get along and should move on on our own.
He nodds, agrees, knowing that we really don`t fit into each other`s world, and then a few weeks later he`s back again; we meet accidentally and it`s starting all over again. That`s not a crush, that is pure insanity. lol
But I have no idea if he has really serious feelings about me; maybe he just likes the chasing-game. lol

Another theory is to look for the double whammies in the synasty chart, because with that both people are recieving the energy of the aspect from both ends, depending on how romantic the aspects are(something to look for in a mutual attraction). For example: Moon conjunction Venus, Venus Trine Moon. Both people are feeling the affection and understanding of which the combo aspect represents.

Nightjar -

quote:
And someone mentioned 7th house/open enemies: again, I can only talk from my personal experience, but the way I see it is that if someone's, let's say, sun and venus falls into your 7th house (and maybe there are some other nice placements too), they are likely to find you very attractive/magnetic. But if you don't feel the same and don't want an intimate relationship with the planet person, he/she can feel quite bitter about it. I think there's a fine line between ultimate attraction and repulsion, because when you feel SO strongly about someone and they just give you heartbreak by choosing to love someone else, the love you once felt for them can quickly turn into hatred even. Has this never happened to any of you? You can't stand the sight of someone you were passionately attracted to, but who rejected you (no matter how gently)?

I think I understand where you are coming from on this, if you meant to try to make a connection between that bitterness. It sounds like if someone gets that real real bitter feeling themself, they might look at something in their Natal Chart which relates to their sense of structure. I'm actually trying to express this grey area between the Planet person and House person, as I say below, I think the question is totally wrong. BOTH are affected in their own way, it's not important to measure who feels more/less. Know what I mean?

If someone has a struggle, it doesn't automatically become a "Pluto-type-thing".

quote:
The thing I've been thinking about though, is that if there are loads (and I mean LOADS) of nice venus aspects inbetween the charts + harmonious synastry aspects in general, could it create romantic attraction even though the planets would fall into "wrong" houses? I'm inclined to say you would at least be quite fond of each other, but what do you think?

The first thing that comes to mind is they may never meet, and if they do, it would be through a friend, or in a very busy/unpredictable circumstance.

I'm having some trouble accepting the premise that the Planet person is feeling more/less the House person. I think the question is totally wrong.

In my personal experience, both are affected in their own way, absolutely, but the planet person does indeed seem to feel it more. I to, like Nightjar thought that the interpretations at cafeastrology was incorrect until i observed how true it was from the switched perspective. Just my thoughts

My experience? I'm not sure which aspect contribute to the passion and sex so I just dig out all the passion-planets-aspects in synastry and you all judge.

In synastry:
His sun conjunct my uranus.
My mars-pluto-lilith in libra conjunct his venus-pluto-lilith in the same sign.
My pluto conjunct his venus (2 degrees)
My eros square his psyche(2 degree); his eros opposite my psyche.
My eros conjunct his psyche/ero midpoint. (exact)
My venus sextile his mars (2 degree) and my mars loosely conjunct his venus.
My mars falls in his 5th house.

In composite, I've been told that lilith conjunct pluto is a sexual/passion aspect too.

Venus / AC

My first thought for this aspect is that the Venus person would fancy the Ascendant, but perhaps the energy is more exciting and mutual than that. Any experiences or thoughts?

Another idea I`ve been toying around with is to look what strong aspects the ruler of certain houses make. This would be very individual (and you could even include Pluto here).
I`d look at the 1st, 7nth, 5th and 8th house for romantic and sexual attraction.

For example the ruler of his 8th house (Venus) squares your Mars.
Since the ruler of the 8th house is similiar to Pluto, that would be like another strong Mars-Pluto-connection. I`d consider that as VERY hot, even though not easy outside the bedroom..

I'm resurrecting this dying thread id like to discuss this quote as well as the original thread topic. Is there anything truth so this? The part about aspects with rulers being important in synastry?

How about these aspects? I mean, I've always wanted - or rather, craved/needed - a love that was as passionate, crazy, and inevitable as the tide is ruled by the moon. I mean, am I going to be the obsessed one only in the relationship? Is it so wrong to have some healthy obsession in a relationship? Is he crazy about me like I hope?

His Sun Opposite Pluto
Sun Sesquiquadrate Pluto
Moon Trine Pluto
His Moon Square Pluto
Moon Trine Moon
His Moon Trine Lilith
Venus Conjunct Venus
Venus Semi-square Sun
Venus Sesquiquadrate Moon
His Venus Opposite Uranus
Venus Semi-Sextile Ascendant
Mars Square Pluto
His Mars Opposite Pluto
His Pluto Conjunct Vertex
Pluto Semi-Sextile Vertex
Lilith Trine Lilith

Also, in the composite, we have Venus Conjunct Mars.

Any thoughts? Thanks a lot!
