I`d focus on conjunctions and oppositions first, because they are the strongest.

So for synastry comparison, do you think you'd look more at draconic to draconic or would you be better off looking at draconic to natal?

I'm not sure if my first post went through so....

For synastry should you do draconic to draconic charts, or look at draconic to natal?

go for the composite or synastry option, then drop down to "zodiac" box. the last option says "warning: draconic"...click there and you're off...what you can't do, or i can't on astro.com yet anyway, is a synastry between the natal/draconic

Edgar Cayce used to talk about his clients' horoscopes and astrologers had no idea what he was on about, until one day it way discovered he was "seeing" their Draconic charts. It is deep soul level astrology.

The most use I have for them at the moment is in synastry. It is the last step for me in relationship readings. I start with the individual charts, then synastry, composite, and finally the Draco charts. A theme emerges and the Draco confirms if it is a strong relationship.

As an example, my partner and I have Saturn conjunct AC in our composite chart. Comparing the Draco charts, her Saturn is on my AC, and my Saturn is on her AC.

I was wondering if you're suppose to calculate the Draconic North Nodes or not. Or are they all suppose to be at 0° Aries?

It creeps me out that I have been learning about astrology for over 10 years and yet I am constantly coming across so many things I have never heard of in Linda-Goodman site LOL. There is so much I don't know and yet so many people are skeptics of astrology and I just tell them that they have no idea how complex it is and that even I dont know how complex it is. It seems all the signs that I lacked in my natal chart are showing up in my draconic chart. I dont know how to interpret this......this is crazy LOL

My Draconic chart is overloaded with Water
(can you see me with a Scorpio Moon)

ok, most exact aspect would be
D.Sun conjunct N.MC and
D.Chiron conjunct N.Uranus

At this point I'm confused about the whole draconic thing. I always see them referred to as the true or 'soul' chart...but then I hear similar stuff about heliocentric charts too. So at this point I kind of take anything referring to Draconic charts with a grain of salt. It doesn't really help matters either that Draconic throws all my planets into signs that really don't fit; I'm definitely not an Aries with a Gemini Moon. Every time I look at my Draconic chart, I feel no resonance and like I'm looking at someone else's chart.

I have to admit though that Draconic charts can show things that don't show up in a standard synastry or composite chart. I noticed the other day when I was pulling charts that certain asteroids and things that didn't make contact with one another in the western geocentric charts, made significant contacts to one another in the Draconic. So I do think that to get the entire idea of how you and another person relate to one another it's a good idea to pull synastry (and composite) charts in ALL those systems and study them; western geocentric, draconic AND heliocentric.

So while I'm not crazy about Draconic and Heliocentric when it comes to natal chart interpretation, I think they're pretty damn useful when it comes to studying how two people feel about and relate to one another.

I think the Draconic has to be seen in connection to the natal.

It is a soul-chart in the sense, that it is a lunar based chart, or as a matter of fact it is calculated on the basis of the lunar North Node, and thus representing a merging of Sun and Moon.
It is tied with one`s spiritual path, and it is the "emotional memory/ imprint" as it is a lunar chart. but like with the NOrth Node it is also a "development chart", something we grow into, or things we need to incorporate. So not everyone will identify with them.

The tropical is the earthbased chart, and relating to othe physical manifestation.

The heliocentric is solarbased, and thus relates to Spirit (as different from soul).

I`d say the heliocentric has more associationw tih the Higher Self, while the draconic is more emotional / anchestral.

After reading this, I just went and pulled up my helio chart again...honestly I can see bits of myself in it after all, but the Draconic still feels totally foreign to me.

Well, your username reflects your Draco Sun at least.

Interestingly we have the same combo, Dr Sun in Aries and Dr Moon in GeminAi.

It is more about the conjunctions to tropical planets and angles than the placements alone though.

Also, the Draconic is a nodal chart, so it needs to reflect the NN-symbolism, and many people do not identify with their NN, cause it is something they have to learn about or grow into.

for me it is different, as my Nn is conjunct my ASC and my Sun is in the same sign.

Also, my Draco placements are reflected in the tropical as well.

my Draco Sun in Aries resonates with Mars conjunct NN; my Draco Moon in Gemini resonates with Sun conjunct Mercury in 1st house; my Draco ASC in Pisces and Draco Mars in Pisces resonate with Mars-Neptune- ASC conjunct NN in tropical.

the spots where Draco and tropical merge usually are emphasised areas for us, probably we have to learn something there.

But I am still experimenting with the Draco chart.

my most significant connection is:
Draco Moon in Gemini exactly conjunct tropical DESC (and SN by 3 degrees).

No wonder I am so in love with doing synastry. lol

EDIT:
I always keep an eye on the opposing signs as well, because this is the nodal chart with the SOUTH node, and maybe resonates more with some people especially if they already have a connection between SN and personal points (like in your case your SN is in the sign of your ASC).
Also the SN represents traits that are already there, something we have already been and incorporated and so might feel more like "ourselves".

My Draconic SN Moon is of course in Sagittarius, and my tropical stellium in Sagittarius is welcoming it like an old friend.

Actually the reverse Draco placements resonate with me in terms of how I have been.

SN Sun, Mercury and Venus in Libra
SNodal Moon in Sag
Snodal mars and ASC in Virgo

I tend to fall back into these habits when I feel insecure as well; but I also feel that the Aries is a part of me, even though I have to dig REALLY deep to dig it out.

Actually other people can see this side of me more easily than I myself. My best friend`s tropical Moon is conjunct my Draco Aries, and she saw all these strong and assertive qualities in me that I never had access to.

Anyway, I feel more comfortable with Draconic synastry.
