Wow, this has been a burning question and a very intense discussion...

IMO, Scorpios can choose to be either "attached" for real, or just completely detached to anything or anybody if need be. All or none, I guess (I don't think I've put it well enough though).

In any event, I'm with what HSC has explained. But as Peri said, every individual has her own idiosyncratic chart, and an idiosyncratic constellation of astrological aspects/placements. Anyone could be born with a fine, sharp analytical mind and a good people reader, with or without her Sun being Virgo or Scorpio.

But HSC, thanks for mentioning Leo, Aquarius and Pisces- since I'm one of those...but well, I still have a long way to go to learn how to read my own mind and how to survive the jungle rules and stuff...

Virgos and Scorpios can be wonderful team mates, instead of fiercely competing with each other

Virgo's for me (and this is a generalisation I know) can be too sure of thier own opinions. If there is no more knowledge before them and they have analysed all that they have seen they feel a conclusion is nessecary and warranted, and logical.

Tyring to explain that there may be a "different" kind of information available in any situation that isn't received through the senses or backed up with a line of logic has gotten me into some heated debates that I could never win because my whole premise was that my evidence would never be empirical.

Scorpio just knows. They may blight that vision with pain or bias or expectation but the truth in it's purest essence is always available to them if they so choose.

This is a very Piscean (and personal) point of view you have to understand....Pisces who by the way would kick both their bums on the subject anyway...explaining it adequately is the tough part

Aptly put.

Thanks for mentioning Pisces- the zodiac sign of the sublimation and the abyss, the ultimate omnipotence...Remember Linda had compared Scorpio and Pisces, that Scorpio represents EGO (in her own option to use the term in caps), while Pisces, symbolically, represents humility. In the highest sense, Pisces is about love is all there is, God is everywhere, all there is...

HSC, I am always on the look-out for writers whom I can easily relate to and understand for I too adore ruminating on mystical and esoteric stuff. I do identify somewhat with this Scorpionic hobby.
Gibran and Tagore (whose Gitanjali you read) have been two such writers. I am sure I would love to read you too.
Can ya plz recommend me anything written by you here or at your myspace blog?
You needn trouble urself with providing the exact URl. Just pin point and tell the subject where it is and I'll search

Let it be prose please. I am sure your poetry I wont b able to follow. I am Taurus sun virgo moon libra rising.. and aged 20. so let it be some piece on any of the water or earth signs. And Saggi in the fire sign.
i love reading on the elements too.
warm regards,
guy.

those w/ the best analytical ability, in my experience, have a combo of virgo and scorpio. in my life, these are the people i trust the most. good, solid, analytical abilities w/ of course an intuitive edge.

I know a scorpio with a virgo rising and he's quite detail oriented but his analysis is more coldly factual, not really an overall assessment of what's in front of him. Any emotional understand is lacking in him. He's one of those ivory tower types who see's the world in terms of facts and numbers.

I'm a virgo with a piscean rising and can be quite instinctive in my assessments.

How about Virgo Sun and Pluto in Scorpio?? How deadly is that??

Also tell me if it could make a good poet. This guy also has Moon in Pisces.
He is a very dear friend of mine. His poetry has endeared him to a lot of people including good writers. What do you think: What are his chances as a writer and/or poet?

You can read one of his creations which he wrote when he was only 14: The Promise She Kept.

Virgos are perfect observers, but Scorpios will better understand the whole deepness of the situation. For me it is a draw.

I know a few scopio friends who could easily summarize people in a few words so accurately it's scary.

That said, however, I totally adore the virgos more though.

Hmmm... i got a friend with virgo sun and scopio pluto... wow

HSC- As usual, wonderful!

After all, when someone at a party asks you what sign you are, and you look at them (penetratingly) and reply, "Scorpio", and they give a little gasp and back away, or instantly inquire what you're doing later, well, it can get a little...tiresome. -Liz Greene
