Tough one eh?

I understand Saturn means karma, lessens to be learned. If one has learnt these lessens Saturn rewards, if not Saturn punishes. Something along those lines.

SO...since Saturn is gonna be ummm killing me in the next few years, I figure I might as well be ready for it.
Here’s what I found

Later this year: trans Saturn opp my Sun

quickly followed by: trans Saturn conj my Moon

then: trans Saturn opp Mars then Venus

Tell me something, what lessons must be learnt? Like before Saturn hits your 2nd house, you can’t be reckless with money.

Also the you will die, wild dogs will attack you, boyfriend leaves you, family will disown you kind of pessimism is surprisingly not helpful, unless you’ve experienced it personally...if so, give me the gory details. I do want to know.

thank you

Although not the same transit, still
Sarurn conjunct my natal Jupiter now and Sun, Merc. and Venus soon...Also now squaring my Mars, MC and Neptune... so a heavy Saturn moment... and for years to come as it raids my 7th house...
All I can say is... ride it out.. pay attention to the lessons and to thine ownself be true

Saturn brings structure and discipline. I'm pretty sure it will just feel like you're maturing. Throwing off the useless stuff, and bringing on the useful stuff.

I didn't know about Saturn returns when I went through mine.

Once you have walked your road with Saturn at your side- you are not the same.

Saturn offers gifts, once you have learned his lessons. If you pay attention, you are given a gold star. Your life may take a different path- one you may have never thought to take.

its a good thing- going through the Saturn hoohaw is never fun, but its worth it.

Thank you for your posts guys! I'm still a little apprehensive, but I'm more hopeful. mixing spirituality and non-resistance will prolly make things easier, I'm looking deep within. I'm also looking forward to any changes and growth and especially stability, I need it so bad.

You know, Saturn is currently opposite my Mercury, and it hasn't been bad at all. Of course Neptune is sitting on my Merc, so it's difficult to note change.

this is great, please keep it coming guys

which houses are ruled by sun, moon, venus, mars? in which house will these transits take place - which house will Saturn be in?

me: t Saturn in the 5th opp my Sun in my 11th. Sun ruling 7th (relationships). I became increasingly dissatisfied, withdrew and eventually ended a 9 years long relationship - exactly! as Saturn was exiting my 5th house - that 'romance' didn't pass the test of time and reliability (it had no future).

it all happ in cancer - so my emotional needs not being fullfilled played a huge part in my decission.

Sometimes I find Saturn transits to be refreshing to have - maturing in life as I get older. (I have mars in Cappy and a whole bunch of Earth in my chart). Saturn transits show a time to get down and real in life and to clear the pie in the sky realities in life. It uncovers where you have had your head stuck in the sand.

A while back ago I had T Saturn conj my Sun and that dawned an era of working on myself to to clear whatever was holding me back in life. Back then I was confused about myself and how I was - when Saturn came by my Sun, then the transformation started - it has taken a while to get to know myself and it has added security for me...

T Saturn conj moon was a challenge. I found I went through many family responsiblities without any help. One must guard their health and to get enough rest and stress relief as needed. I became more resourceful.

T Saturn opposite Mars - Sexual frustration. Stilfed energies. The man that I was with at the time was undergoing Cancer treatments and had no energy for anything.

T Saturn in the 2nd - you will come to know what you value more. It's a good time to review your values. I didn't work for 6 months and I had to live on a very tight budget. You may have stern types attracted to you.

Later this year I'll have T saturn opposite my venus and I'm not sure what will happen there....I might take formal lessons for singing and playing an instrument.

T Saturn is in my 4th house Squaring natal Saturn in Taurus in the 12th. Saturn is also sitting on my Leo South Node and opposite my MC (Wide orb though to the MC). It's been family issues for several months now - I grew up with a mother and father who hated children big time.

My father left the family in 1979 and I was stuck with my miserable Mother. Life was a battlezone when I still lived at home trying to break free from a place that was highly detremental to me. For the longest time she was highly abusive and negative towards me. Finally this month I walked away from it all and have embraced my Orphan status. This has given me the greatest sense of relief one could ever have - leaving such a situtaion.

My 2 open cents worth.

This was nice to hear
I will have trSaturn conjuncting Ceres, Vertex, Sun, Merc, and Venus all within orb together later this year around the time of my Uranus oppo.
I probably won't even recognise who i am right now... and as this will take place in my 7th house, i doubt anyone else will either....

Ms Aqua ~

Hi sweetie!! Fear not, all will be well (eventually)..... I put up a bunch of Saturn links in this thread you might have a look at.....

I've got Saturn making passes at my Pluto in the 12th and then it tromps over my Ascendent with its lead spikenailed boots this summer. If you've done your daily homework at Earth School, Saturn will merely crystallize a few things for you, even with that scary lineup you listed. Saturn to Moon and Venus may give you a few cases of the mopey's but you've got a Crabbish fella who can help out there

Hi Star ~

Nice signature!!

I had Saturn aspect four of my planets - opposing Mercury, Mars and Sun in the tenth, and conjunct Jupiter in the 4th - last year.

It didnt bring depression. It did make work difficult and stressful for me...Ummm here's a lil example of what I mean...I had it during my first year of teaching high school kids. I took over an experienced science teacher's position. He left on stress leave because he could no longer handle the misbehaviour of a few of his applied classes. I took over for 6 different science classes in the middle of a termed school year.

I have Saturn opposite my Moon - and that brings up bouts of negative thinking/feeling every now and then. I think a Saturn conjunction would be a little easier to handle and hence make you more emotionally productive at the end of the day.

yeah, today it's the second time Saturn and Neptune oppose each other in transit. it's supposed to be the moment you become aware of *the point* (first time around it's something to bring up the matter; third - you're supposed to do, act out your new learnt lesson). so... what have you become aware of today: what have you been unrealistic about?

Maturity, stability...music to my ears, as I’ve always been much older compared to my outer form. The Mars transits you mentioned ID was not what I expected, I’d imagined it to mean feeling stifled or something.

Congrats on leaving, must have felt amazing, or maybe bittersweet? Actually this sounds like a Pluto transit, something must die for something else to be born. I temporarily left home, but moved back as it's closer to work. I envy your freedom

Thank you zala!

What homework?!?!? You mean practicality and other Earth stuff? Well that’s kinda hard with Neptune’s buttcheeks firmly nestled on my Mercury. I’m in a daze.
Yeah, my Crabby will be there...caring for his moody x100 cow

Yes yes! That’s exactly what’s been happening. I’m usually frustrated cause I can’t convert emotions to words, but it’s getting better. Was hoping it’s a permanent thing :/

Oh I sincerely hope so! As I’m overly fragile, my optimism has always kept me going. I don’t know what I’d do if that went away. I’m hoping this conj will make me more emotionally mature, and bring some stability too!

Saturn through your 6th is about learning to obey rules and follow rutines, doing your duty and fulfilling your responsabilities. what's expected of you and how you cooperate. it's abou delayed gratification and compromises.

opposing your 6th ruler - all these would probably relate to your job: or/and your healh (problems at work often become health matters anyway; not following your hygene rutines can also turn into health problems, etc). the opposition means that you'll feel the pressure as coming from outside, and you'll feel frustrated. don't react like a child (sun)! you're supposed to grow up a bit and gain some discipline (and maturity).

the same outside pressure will be about your mars and venus aka your money, possesions, but also your self-esteem. maybe you'll find you ahve to work harder for the same amount of money or you may feel unappreciated. again, it's a matter of discipline regarding your drives (mars) or your attitudes and the way you relate yo people (venus).

the moon conj - the controls and demands will come from inside. you won't even realise it. maybe others will find you've changed - you will be more mature emotionaly, spend more time alone, carefully evaluate your fun activies or your romances.

oh, not to forget: you may lose weight! a lot, if you're not careful.

basically, you'll either become more serious about everyday life or you'll have a lot of problems on your hands.

Hmmm let me do a run down:

When saturn hit my sixth house, I was doing some unhealthy things that I 'got away with' for a long time. Saturn decided to teach a lesson (I gained weght as a result of my eating habits; I lost some hair because of the gelling and straightening I did on a daily basis).

When saturn hit my seventh house and conjunct my sun in the 7th- I met my boyfriend around the time this all started. The relationship didn't get off the ground until a while later. I guess the fact that he's older than me (not by much anymore though) could tie in with the saturnine theme but he's still in my age group. The thing that's puzzled me is that there is not much that is saturnine about him personality wise. But now I remember that I was going through a simultaneous uranus transit....it was opposing the ruler of my seventh house.

On another note, when saturn hit my sun, I ended up losing most of the weight I gained during the transit when saturn hit my 6th house. I also had a bout with depression here...it was much worse than usual for me.

Then a little while later, saturn squared my 10th house pluto. Oh my God I didn't think this would bring so much drama but it did. All I can say is that it involved my reputation.

And don't worry Aqua, I'm gonna go through that same saturn conjunct moon transit in the fall so maybe we can compare notes sometime.

All I know is that the person who said your never the same after these transits...is right.

Cristiname, yes my health is being affected due to work! I don’t exactly know how, but it’s been declining ever since. I don’t eat and sleep as much as I used to, it’s just work work work. But no one’s making me do it, I’m just pushing myself too much. Haven’t been reacting like a child surprisingly, patience has replaced that.
Trans Saturn conj Moon is something I’m now looking forward to. Any emotional stability is much needed!
I’ve already began to lose weight, and it’s not flattering at all.
quote:

Preferably the former, but I’ll have to see.
I enjoy reading your posts christname, they’re informative with plenty of understanding and empathy

omg DL I have been abusing my hair – abusing it I tell you!!! it’s been every colour known to man. Crap!!
My mum’s often told me my hair’s gonna fall off. And I don’t even like hats

I’ve also read Saturn entering the 7th house tests a relationship hmmm I hate tests :/

Hope it wasn’t that bad. Saturn passed my tenth house at age 4, wonder what happened

Sure, I’d like that. Is your Moon Virgo?

aqua inferno,

I have never felt a greater sense of relief than I do now. I just wish when I was younger I could have done it earlier. My folks couldn't be bothered to tend to their children and so they shoved us away and left us to deal with the harshness of lives on our own - thing is now I'm quite resourceful and a good budgeter.

aqua inferno,

I don't want to frighten you, but the Saturn return was the most disturbing time of my life..i ended my 7 year relationship ( it was in 2003, and though I was the one who initiated that, if I knew how disturbing my life afterward will be, I'm not sure if I'd do it the way I did).
Anyway, I read somewhere that if you lived your life honestly and in tune to who you really are, the Saturn lessons wouldn't be as tough; just grounding and stabilizing, but if you didn't, all the "debts" that you "owe" to yourself, Saturn would come to claim of you..
It definitely happened to me...

Parents are sometimes lessons to be learnt. And you did get something good out of it. I think those of us who didn’t have ideal parents, but chose to grow from the experience, make better parents. Though truth be told, I’ve been put off having kids due to my own experiences

We have Saturn in the same house, how was the relationship while Saturn was in your 7th? Did you think you found stability after all this?
I’ve been a little concerned about my Saturn return, as my natal Saturn is retrograde. Interestingly, at the same time trans Uranus will conj my Mars – now that probably wont help!

Aqua inferno,

At the time transiting Saturn was in my 7th house, I had some other difficult aspects ( it conjuncted my Sun, and opposed transiting Pluto ), so the things were "boiling up" couple of years before we split up...
As for stability, Saturn definitely put some things to the place they belonged, but it did mess me up, and I'm still recovering ( + my Moon in Pisces went through conjunction with transiting Uranus )
What a mess lol..I'm almost glad I'm functioning at all lol..
Uranus is pretty "unpleasant" when it touches "personal" points, so with your Mars it's going to create a bit of turmoil...but no need to be afraid of anything of this..
Saturn does make you stronger and more aware of your own abilities and I think Uranus just makes you react strongly and more bravely in some situations that you would usually let go...

Astrology aspects - Mercury opposition Saturn
The opposition from Mercury to Saturn shows that you are strongly opinionated and defensive. You have considerable intellectual ability and can accomplish any goal you set for yourself. You may be inclined to bend the truth in order to get your way with people, but people are more discerning than you realize and often are aware of your deceptions. In this way you will lose friends, which can make you depressed when you are alone. An isolationist to begin with, you alienate your few associates with your criticism and scheming. All this adds up to the fact that you must learn to mind your own business and have respect for the privacy of others. Don't assume that other people think a certain way and then complain because they don't think that way

edited to add: Saturn trined Mercury better describes "concise".
