One of the couples I looked at that night have a Mars-Mars opposition. They're not together anymore, but they were on and off for years. About 5 years, starting with when they met in college. They have a lot of squares and oppostions in synastry, so it wasn't just the Mars opposition contributing to their relationship's volatility. But, they are a good couple to look at for this discussion, b/c that opposition and her Saturn conjunct his Mars were his only Mars aspects, and there was still a very strong sexual attraction on his part (hers too). If anything, I'd think a Saturn-Mars conjunction would put a damper on a guy's sexual feelings, so a Mars opposition must be pretty potent to withstand that aspect.

I agree with you. Someone who doesn`t like his 8th house, will probabl feel a certain antagonism towards a person who triggers Pluto / 8th house energies in him.

But regarding the 5th house, yes, it`s like I exerience it. So much joy, joy of life, it`s like I just feel so alive, when he`s around.
But unfortunately this connection is not totally free from a certain kind of physical attraction, at least for me.
Well, I accepted things as they are, and I guess a part of this physical and romantic attraction transformed into this very energetic vibration of pure joy.

Hmm, according to the magi-astrology we have very profound sexual linakges.

A grand trine, formed by sexual planets, Venus, Venus and Pluto (they see Venus as a sexual AND a romantic planet).
And a mystical triangle, formed by his Venus, his Pluto and my Mars (my mars is actually at the "power" point of that configuration); they call this one a "sexual dragon". ROFL
And on top of that there are additionally some more "sexual linkages", like Chiron - Juno-parallel, Venus-Pluto parallel, Mars-Pluto-parallel and some more. *grinning*
I guess in our case those aspects may be the reason that we can`t really ignore each other. Even he seems to sense that.
Why else should he take notice of me in the middle of a crowd?
But I guess that`s about it. Nothing more to it.

A mystical triangle is a triangle, where one side is a trine, one is a square and one is a quinkunx. The planet at the "powerpoint" is the one that makes a quinkunx and a square.

A sexual Dragon is something special.
There are two aspectfigures, which can form a sexual Dragon:
1. A Yod
2. A mystical triangle.

But the orb is important, too. The third planet must be within the degrees of the other aspect.
Let`s take the example of me and this singer:

He has a Venus-Pluto-trine natally.
His Venus: 04° Taurus
His pluto: 08° Virgo

Now, a planet which would make a mystical triangle with this trine would have to be in Sagittarius or Aquarius. AND the only degrees that count would be between 4° and 8°; so the only degrees that form a mystical triangle with the above trine are 4° - 8° Sagittarius and 4° - 8° Aquarius.
I have Mars on 5° Sagittarius and ASC on 7° Sagittarius, therefore those planets / points fulfil the requirements. And my Mars and ASC are actually on the "power-corner" of the triangle, because they are quinkunx (his Venus) and square (his Pluto).

But what does make it a sexual Dragon now?
WEll, to get a SExual Dragon there have to be sexual planets at the corners of the triangle.
Sexual planets according to Magi are: Venus, Mars, Pluto and Juno.
So, a mystical triangle of Venus, Pluto and Mars definitely is a SExual DRagon. hehe.

Here`s what they write on that one:

"Sexual Dragon Points are especially powerful in determining to whom we will be most sexually attracted and with whom we can have the very best sex."

But it`s not a simple Grand Trine, no, it`s a Kite!
His Chiron is opposite his Pluto and sextile his Venus and my Venus, so Chiron becomes the focal planet of this configuration. (His Karma and my Isis, Osiris, POM, Pholus and Ceres are also involved)

Funny stuff to look at!

But that`s the thing about astrology. You can`t take it so literal.

HOwever, thinking a bit, I came to the conclusion that sexual energy or attraction actually is nothing other than life energy; so maybe all those sexual linkages are the reason for this feeling of vibrant energy and feeling alive, when I see him.

Keyboard assassinations aside, you're a wonderful teacher! Thank you for that explanation. I did end up googling it, but it wasn't until your post that I learned about how the degrees had to be within the same range as the natal part of the configuration. Does Magi apply this rule to Grand Trines & all other aspect configurations?

I don't have a sexual dragon with my man. Tragic, I know. We do have some mystical triangles though.
