I'm glad you came back to visit!

I was going to ask you if Nemesis was in the 4th houses/near the IC of the charts you looked at. Sounds like it was! I guess most of us are born in the families we are, to be able to work out karma and to strive for balance (Nemesis) with our family members. What do you think it means to have Sun or Venus conjunct Nemesis? I've been trying to figure out my Ceres conjunct my mother's Nemesis. I wonder if the same rules apply - i.e. when you express the energy of your planet, the other person is driven to express their Nemesis?

Wow, your quote really helps set it straight - I guess Nemesis is about 'balance', whether experienced as good or bad. Thanks for posting it!

I like how you explained it - your Nemesis on his Lust/Eros = you having a sense of wanting to set him straight on his attitudes about sex/promiscuity. That simplifies it a bit for me!

Rudra conjunct Moon means that when the Moon person is expressing his/her emotions, it fits an ideal held by the Rudra person (*edited*). This is my understanding... I hope Venusdeindia or any of the other experienced Knowflakes will correct me if I'm wrong!

The same goes with the other aspects you mentioned, with Parvati representing the ideal woman.

Thanks for correcting that.. you're right. Rudra is the extreme aspect of Siva like Kaali is of the female form. Are we then looking for Rudra-Kaali aspects then, cause I see folks here look for Siva-Kaali aspects too - wouldn't that be like looking for Lancelot-Isis or Osiris-Parvati aspects? I know when I do that, I'm just trying to be thorough looking for aspects *all* asteroids make in our charts to each other, but not all of these might make sense.

GotGemini, you should totally start a thread with your charts and list out all your aspects so you have them in one place. It's easy to forget what you dig up/find out, if you haven't done that.

Here’s our corrected Nemesis info, the orbs being 0-2 unless otherwise stated:

MY SISTER AND MYSELF

My Nemesis falls in my sister’s 4th house, just like hers falls in my 4th house.

My N. trines her Saturn and ASC (no major aspects from hers to mine).

In our composite, we have Nemesis in the 4th house, and it conjuncts the composite Sun&Moon.

We are very different but close and give each other support.

MY MOTHER AND MYSELF

My mother’s Nemesis is in my 4th house, the aspects it makes are:
sextile my Venus
square my Saturn, Uranus and Pluto
trine my ASC and MC

My Nemesis conjuncts my mother’s Mars (4 deg), sextiles her Pluto and squares her ASC
(I don’t know my mother’s exact birth time, so I don’t know about her houses, just the degrees).

My mother’s Nemesis is in my sister’s 7th house, the aspects it makes are:

My sister’s Nemesis conjuncts my mother’s Sun (3 deg) and Venus (4 deg) and trines her Pluto.

In their composite, Nemesis is in the 9th house (they are both Sags, btw) and conjuncts Sun&Venus.

A tight contact with lots of learning to do, but there’s also love, of course.

My Nemesis falls in his 8t house. It conjuncts his Pluto and opposes his Venus&Chiron (4 deg).
His Nemesis falls in my 11th house. It conjuncts my Jupiter (and opposes my Vertex by 3 deg, I don’t know if this orb is too wide for Vertex?).

Our composite Nemesis is in the 3rd house, almost on the cusp of the 4th, and it squares our composite Mercury and Mars.

It would seem close contacts from Nemesis to Sun/Venus (or other personal planets) are an indication family karma.

Do try to get her birth time as close as you can. I'll take a look at your charts a bit more tomorrow & post there, but I peeked at them, and it looks like you have some neat synastry aspects such as:

- Your Sun trine her Moon (with Pluto sitting on it),
- her Venus on your Neptune, which must feel divine (but surreal, like a dream),
- her Nodes conjuncting your AC/DC axis

That is a lot of Nemesis aspects (thanks for sharing - makes me want to look at ours in detail now & I will share too so we can add to our understanding), and it sounds pretty significant in your relationship dynamic with your mother. I will be back tomorrow to post more on this..

Wow, that's some analysis!! It sounds like you don't have that much of the need for balance with your sister, that it is just a loving relationship where you support each other. With your mother, is it a bit more of a push & pull? When you express your your AC, your mother feels that need to set you right? You have a Nemesis aspect AC double whammy, except your mother's N trines your AC and yours squares her AC. It is interesting that your mother's N. aspects both your sister's and your Pluto - it has a significant effect on you. I have this with my mother (post below), and wonder if a good number of us would find this with our parents since their opinions matter so much to us.

And wow - with your man, you must have a real transformative effect on him (that same N-Pluto conjunction).. with the opposition to Chiron, you may have to watch for him feeling hurt when you express N., though it may heal in a strange way - they do say that Chiron is the "wounded healer". His N. seems to have a softer effect conjuncting your Jupiter - depending on where your Jupiter is (mine is in Taurus, meaning I'm prone to excesses in all things 6th house), he might be inclined to want to try to fix any excesses he perceives in that area of your life.

It seems to me that Nemesis is a contact that may be a bit hard to deal with, but no harder than Saturn aspects, say, or Karma aspects... that it just shows that there is a specific purpose to the relationship, and it is a nice indicator of what areas might bring it into play. I'm going to post what i've found in my next..

In my chart, Nemesis is conjunct the IC, opposite the MC and opposed my Vertex (ouch). My mother's Nemesis conjuncts her Saturn and her IC (opposite her MC) as well. So this probably means that our needs for seeking balance arise in our personal lives, at home, with family.

My mother's Nemesis is tightly conjunct my Pluto (which feels transformative to me, much like your man must feel with you) and a bit widely conjunct my Ceres. Her N. also sextiles my AC, trines my DC, squares my Mercury & Mars. My Nemesis trines her Mars, sextiles her Jupiter & Mercury - easier aspects.

It fits, I think.. I have always wondered why she feels the need to have an opinion on everything I say or do (square Mercury & Mars), why she can't seem to accept me for who I am & why she always tries to change me - that does not sit right with me & we get into arguments. I wish she understood me better.. I'm sure there are other factors in our chart contributing to this, like her Saturn squaring my Moon, Mars & Mercury, and my Saturn square her Venus.. And I guess most mother-daughter relationships are complicated that way.. we have strong bonds of love too.

I guess Nemesis aspects come into play only when there is a need to balance things, a need for justice. Family karma, like I said.

After our little study I think Nemesis is certainly not necessary for a good relationship, but when you do have it in close aspects, it means the relationship can be of outmost importance to your growth if you allow it to be.

Sometimes you need others to keep you in check but you also need others to give you something you have earned but are not claiming. I think Nemesis works that way.
