I have a Sun-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn (2 deg) ... I personally have never had that happen where *I* am the person being mistaken for someone else..but I always mistake people for people they're not. ------------------ Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moon Mercury:: Sagittarius Venus::Scorpio Mars::Pisces IP: Logged |

Jane - your humour transcends you!!! Thanks for the giggle!!I've been fascinating over Neptune for a while now - trying to work out what a 'personal name asteroid' conjunct Neptune would mean. I had another look for Neptune once again and found this website: http://www.dominantstar.com/tneptune.htm I love this prose..... To see a World in a grain of Sand And a Heaven in a wild flower Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an hour. William Blake “Auguries of Innocence” Having Sun conjunct Neptune must be a buzz!!! You must walk around with this invisible energy emanating, touching and inspiring other souls to see beyond the veil of the material world.
There must be healing power in this, I wonder..... IP: Logged |

Sounds like neptune to me. Sun rules ego so somehow the ego is morphed in an neptunian way (mutable emotions, sympathies etc). I think off Jane is a sag sun so the mutable aspect may also be heightened of the sun but in a more confusing sense. I don't have neptune conj sun. But I can tell you of when neptune passed over sun and I got very confused with life and things. I think neptune in this situation is very similar to neptune in the first, you can confuse others but maybe you can confuse yourself as well. Augentier - in relation to yourself, I think the Cap grounds you and therefore preventing others confusing you. Cap with the earths are very physical and "dense" in a material sense. Koi - I'd say if a name is conj neptune, then it follows what I said about nep in 1st/sun-nep conj. If it is your name in your chart with nep conj, then you might have a changing perception or confusing perception of yourself. Look also to sign and house as to where it happens. IP: Logged |

Oh 23, I'm glad you're on this thread! I was just about to request your expertise on something. I'll just add my question to this thread, if you don't mind taking a look. Brb.IP: Logged |

hahaha - you're in fine form today!!It's really amazing the asteroid name and Neptune. It's a double whammy. Both in my 8th House. Their name on my Neptune at 0 degrees My name on their Neptune at 0 degrees The only way to describe it is that it's an unspoken awareness of that person. There is an electrical zing that heightens my senses beyond anything I have ever felt before. It feels incredibly, highly, undoubtedly spiritual..!! However, I'm not sure whether the feeling is mutual. I suspect it could be. Neptune has come up in a couple of threads lately. It's definitely one planet to look into..!! IP: Logged |

Jane - the chin is hard to see because the person is smirking a bit so its highlighting the chin - jutting it out. The fact that it sticks out a bit indicates something like sco or aries rising because mars rising women (and men but more substantially) tend have a point. However, if it is MIchelle Pfeiffer, then maybe she's something like a leo rising? Really I haven't bothered to look at her much! But I do know she is a tau sun and the sun might have some impact on the face. Taus (esp risings) tend to have round faces and no angularity or sharpness. The back of the jaw is smoothed off rather than angular so this might smooth out any jawline. hard to say. IP: Logged |

Koi - 8th house - maybe in a secretive or deep seeded/explorative environment - ie in modern astrology the bedroom? Their name on your neptune - I'd say its you confusing them somehow. It's you providing spiritual comfort, empathy to them. Your name on their neptune - they are confusing them somehow. It's them providing spiritual comfort, empathy to you. Remember conj is both negative and positive. DW of course heightens the affects of these aspects. And yes, I'd say neptune would rule other worldliness, higher planes, dreams etc. IP: Logged |

23 - About Neptune and confusion. I have a relatively strong will and sense of self. I think the way I feel Neptune's influence is that I don't always feel personal. I often need breaks from socializing not because I need to escape other people, but b/c I need to escape being me, escape being an individual person who is expected to react to the world. I need time to just absorb the world as, to quote Emerson, a "transparent eyeball." Perfectly normal, yes? IP: Logged |

Yes I was thinking about you Jane when I went off just then to make a chai latte and since having returned. I think what you said is what I am kind of was thinking about it. The need to escape is very much a neptunian thing, to join another realm, to escape emotionally as well, not in the physical sense. The need to transcend maybe. Neptune is the ruler of pisces, pisces is normally associated with 12th. 12th house is a very secluded and private area too and tends to deal with solitude/private time or isolated institutions (eg hospitals, gaols, spiritual retreats etc , not saying you belong those though ). So it makes sense to me. I can kind of understand. My chart ruler is mars and neptune opposes my mars (and trines my asc/jup). Also pisces rules my 12th house cusp, I escape myself a bit and I need a lot of time to myself. Pisces is also associated with dreaming and sleeping, maybe these are important for your retreat as well. IP: Logged |

Besides having a Sun Neptune conjunction, I also have my chart ruler and Sun/Moon midpoint in my 12th house.Gaol, here I come! Btw, I agree with what you said earlier about my conj being in mutable signs exacerbating Neptune's blurriness. IP: Logged |

Koi - I'd swap the two around for the dw. So the neptune person projects confusion on other but brings empathy etc, the name person brings themselves, ie their being/qualities. I'll probably change my mind in a few minutes hmphIP: Logged |

Thanks 23, for your rendition - am open to your change of opinion too Jane, Jane, Jane - Eros in Pisces!!! I have that too, and I think it's an ultimate yummy placement for Eros!!!!! The only other aspects to my/their Neptune is trine my IC and their Valentine, and also opposite my Lilith. That's why it may feel slightly 'personal'. btw, michelle pf's chin looks arian.... See ya back at the cow thread

Please do send me some of that Oil of Olay...or maybe it's the lollipop. Whatever it is, I have cash. Does your sun/Neptune conj aspect your AC? Hiya jane ~I’ve Neptune conj Sun 2°58’ in Libra. I haven’t had the sort of experience you just did, but it would be both hilarious and welcome for someone to see me as a little girl That Neptunian “Escape Hatch” feature has both plagued me and aided me all my life….. I really can’t say how other people view me, except that some are surprised at where I’ve been (hippie, drugs, flouting authority ) given the way I look and act now (the Epitome of Responsibility!). The way Neptune has challenged me is in seeing OTHERS clearly – I haven’t had my RoseColoredGlasses-ectomy yet, but I’m considering it….. perhaps in my case the effects of Neptune are somewhat mitigated by Saturn also conj Sun 3°02’ – my Sun = Neptune/Saturn. So I’m blessed to be the object of a tug’o’war between the Planet of Boundaries and the Planet of No Boundaries, and in the sign of the Scales (can’t you just see them wildly swinging :-D ) Here’s an interesting blurb from Bil Tierney re Neptune transits – I thought the mention of Sun/Saturn “core integration” is an important consideration: quote: Underdeveloped egos (implied by poor Sun/Saturn core integration) are particularly inclined to lose vital parts of their selfhood during difficult Neptune transits (and quite so if there are tensional natal Neptune aspects to begin with). They become empty vessels ripe for the onrush of Neptune energy (which can at times be chaotic in its kaleidoscopic outpouring of images and mood-altering compulsions). We could feel ourselves tranported to an inner ideal world (rich in deep understanding and inspirational vision), or we might feel ourselves losing our grasp on our personal framework of reality altogether.
(full text of above excerpt at “Neptune the Terrible” http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/008842.html )Despite the need for escape and the challenge of assimilating such an enormous and often-overwhelming wealth of imagery from the unconscious/collective and bringing/condensing those perceptions down into personal expression, Neptune in the 3rd has been a cornucopia of creativity – even if I cannot always take advantage of it when it presents itself….. PS: Your Eros is exactly quincunx my Venus at 2° Libra – OoohLaLa koi ~ quote: Having Sun conjunct Neptune must be a buzz!!! You must walk around with this invisible energy emanating, touching and inspiring other souls to see beyond the veil of the material world.
I really like that!! (**claps hands**) jane's already got it on her resume, but as I haven't mastered the emanating-thang yet I shall have to practice before I can add it to my resume ;-)) Seriously tho -- I do feel a "duty" of sorts to bring "metaphysical" or "spiritual" topics into conversations with everyone I meet, even if it's just mentioning astrology.....IP: Logged |

janethe Sun is NOT how ppl perceive you / your social identity / how you project yourself to others. the Sun is who you know in your heart you are. you are talking about the Ascendant. IP: Logged |
