does anyone have the charts of all 4 running mates so we can see them together? can they be posted here? along with charts for the election day and inauguration? so we could discuss possibilities from an ASTROLOGICAL point of view, not a political or character slant?IP: Logged |

Roy Gillett takes a close look at the election in his round up of planetary events between September and November in his column in the AA of GB magazine. He particularly focuses on the Saturn/Uranus opposition. He comments that the transiting Moon moves across Obama's natal and progressed Saturn-Jupiter conjuntion to reach his natal ascendant on 5th November. His progressed Moon follows the trail but peaks 17 December. Gillett describes this as indicative of "pressure of expectation." Also: transiting Sun Square natal Sun early on election day, Mars sextile natal Mars but applying to square Uranus, with the Saturn-Uranus opposition applying close to natal Mars. Meanwhile, McCain has Moon transiting Moon, Mars trine Saturn, Sun conjunct his progressed Mercury suggesting, says Gillett, "many people will push his candidacy and the ideas it stands for." However, Venus Square natal Saturn, Sun to Mars and Mercury to Pluto suggest "it will difficult for him to be and feel loved, except perhaps as a conservative refuge that is not 'fit for purpose' to carry 21st century challenges." And this is his conclusion: quote: Looking at the two candidates against the 4 November astro-events, it is easy to see contradictory signs along the lines of the new and the old. If quite a few Americans base their decision on fear of the unknown, the results could be close. However, when we compare the two candidates to the inauguration chart, the person more likely to be standing on the podium seems clearer. As well as progressed Moon having conjoined his Ascendant 17 December 2008, the very time the new government will be being created, transiting Jupiter is following this path more slowly to return to the natal Jupiter, as the Cazimi Sun-Mercury speed forward to join it within a few minutes of arc on the the day of the Inaugaration Ceremony. Mars, too, applies to transit the path in the weeks that follow, while transiting Saturn starts a long retrograde just short of the natal Mars on 31 December 2008. All this certainly seems like a someone taking on immense immediate and medium-term burdens. John McCain, in contrast, has transiting Saturn conjunct his natal Venus that day.

There's this: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/018952.html Personally, I was hoping for more discussion there. Maybe some fear that if they get something wrong that their rep will suffer. But astrology as I understand it is like measuring the winds. It's useful, but it's unlikely to make you anything like omniscient, save possibly into yourself and your own life where you're familiar with all the "other influences" (and even then, so many people you interact with have their own charts that can affect your own...) the brady thing is extremely interesting. venus is squaring sat in virgo and uranus in pisces on election day...if i understand it right, that gives a decided edge to the challenging "family" as she describes it...i.e. the dems...?IP: Logged |

here is the midpoint composite of McCain & Palin: i used 4:40 PM as the birthtime for Palin because it would make sense that she is a Leo Rising (good looking) and it would place her Sun in the 7th (makes sense because she would want to be pleasing to the opposite sex you know?). an astrologer said that an Aqua moon wouldn't make sense for Palin, but I think it would be fitting because it would make her more politically inclined (since Aqua rules the 11th house). Notice how the DSC ruler (Neptune) is in the 2nd house. So outside people see them as very values oriented. IP: Logged |

thanks amowls...i would agree with an aquarius moon because she already seems so aqua-heavy; but a cap moon is also a very political creature, even when not interested in politics! and the "acceptable" path (cheerleader, miss whatever) is more cappy...but this works too for now...do we have biden's info as well for a comp of the dem ticket? neptune is a prominent player in this election on both sides...but then the whole process is very neptunian (the campaing side of it) IP: Logged |
