IQhunk, I am very sorry about you losing your house.
I don't believe in cause and effect in Astrology. That wasn't even the point of my post in regards to Pluto. My point of the post was the the other dwarf planet, transneptunian, kuiper belt energies are more prominent than Pluto in me,and that they were prominent in my 2 most transformative events. I was raising issue about why not consider the astrological effects of Pluto's fellow dwarf planets, transneptunians, and kuiper belt objects.
I even found out that in my right ascension chart, I have Sun-Sedna opposition with a little over a half degree. There is something Neptunian about Sedna, but there is something "out of this world" and remote about it just the actual myth of the Sea Goddess that lived in the depths of the Arctic Ocean and the actual object is farther from the Sun than all the kuiper belt objects in a hypothesized region called the Oort cloud.
I believe that my Sun-Sedna opposition reflects my not never knowing my father....especially when I have Sun conjunct Neptune/Pluto midpoint(aka supernatural midpoint) in my Right Ascension chart....so I have Sun = Sedna = Neptune/Pluto.
BTW...I did a post on RA ascension in the forum, but it's not here any more due to the problems with the site yesterday.
RA is the celestial equator longitude coordinates that astronomers use to locate objects.
but yeah..my view is that transformation is not solely Pluto, but that whole kuiper belt region...(especially the plutinos which are objects that orbit like Pluto..one like Orcus,Ixion)...all those objects orbiting past Neptune could relate to the unknown, transformation, intensity, and subterranean depths, death
Orcus,Varuna,Ixion were involved in more personal significant transits in my chart in regards to aspecting personal points, but Pluto didn't. That doesn't mean that I don't believe Pluto is not a transformational planet period. It's just not THE transformational planet in my life even though it is in others' lives.
I am not going to get into the Scorpio stuff...I already made my points that I don't put much focus on zodiac signs nor houses for that matter. Like cosmobiologists, I like to put more emphasis on planetary geometry, and I look for transits that involve personal planets, points when it comes to events that involve hard aspects...if it's trines, sextiles, well..it's part of an aspect configuration like a grand trine, minor grand trine. Ixion was definitely in a t-square with my 10 minute of arc Moon square Varuna, but it was also significant for transiting Varuna to be trine my 5 minute of arc Sun-Ixion cazimi(in the heart of the Sun) at the same time.
Transiting Orcus had stationed on the day that my mom got shot, and it semisquared not only my midheaven, but it aspected the following picture....Transiting Stationary Orcus = Transiting Node = Natal Midheaven = Haumea = Eris/Node
so Orcus not only aspected my Midheaven, it aspected my 3 minute of arc Haumea square Midheaven and my 8 minute of arc Midheaven square Eris/Node. So it was a kuiper belt object in transit to my midheaven which squares a kuiper belt object and squares a midpoint that involves a transneptunian. That transit is no joke. That's a very significant transit that can indicate transformation. Ceres, the dwarf planet of mother-child issues happen to be conjunct my Moon, and squaring my Neptune(where is mama?) during my mom's shooting too. That's not just a mere coincidence. My maternal grandfather had transiting Ceres conjunct his Moon when he killed himself, and that was when he was overwhelmed taking care of his very old mother-in-law who came to stay with him and my stepgrandmother. My stepgrandmother was working out of town, and so my sick(Hepatitis C) grandfather took care of her all by himself. That's not just a mere coincidence either. Those are both significant synchronicities that reflect the events of mother-child,nurturing issues that were involved in life changing events.
right now..I am having transiting Pluto in 4th squaring my Pluto in 1st right now, and to me - I think that it's about confronting any past traumas that involve my family and that transformed my life. Well..I have been doing research in regards to my mom's shooting, looking at asteroids including nodes and Pluto's other dwarf planets, transneptunians, kuiper belt objects. It has given me a lot of insight into the shooting, and why my mother and I survived that night when we could have been killed.
but yeah--the Pluto transit can me be about psychoanalysis which I have been doing through Astrology.
transiting Pluto is conjuncting my Sun/Mars midpoint, and I am well aware that can be indicator of physical violence in my life....especially when I have Pluto square Sun/Mars midpoint with 14 minutes of arc,and so transiting Pluto is aspecting that midpoint. I also have Ascendant square Mars/Pluto midpoint with only 4 minutes, and Secondary Progressed/Solar Arc Sun is conjunct my Mars/Pluto midpoint, square my Ascendant right now. Those can indicate potential violent event in my life. Yeah...there is a possibility that the potentially violent event can end in my death which could fit with such strong Mars/Pluto activity. It doesn't have to be that way. There is free will. I can use those same configurations for willpower, strength, and drive.....even if I was involved in a violent event, I could use those to survive.
transiting Pluto is paralleling my Venus right now, and will be about to conjunct my Venus/Node midpoint which conjuncts my Sun/Mars midpoint, and squares my Pluto...so transiting Pluto is aspecting those configurations, so it can indicate that I could get involved in a highly intense love relationship which can transform. It can be a deep soul connection relationship which I would love to have. It could be getting involved with a woman that is highly Plutonian or who is just mainly transneptunian, kuiper belt object in her energy. Transiting Pluto square my Pluto conjunct my Sun/Mars-Venus/Node could be in synchronicity with a more intense sex drive too. That can be a good thing if I have a partner. If not,I can use that energy for other physical activities like exercise,sports....maybe great for building muscles.
Transiting Pluto is opposing my Mom's 10 minute of arc Orcus-Ascendant conjunction right now, but she's doing okay. I am not worried about her dying or any stuff like that. The transit could indicate dealing with changes. My mother's leg was amputated last August because of diabetes. She's now in a wheel chair. She got a power chair recently too. She doesn't like not being on her feet and doing things.
but any ways...I am well aware of how Pluto can be transformative. I am aware that it doesn't have to be about death,destruction...but it can be about lifechanging experiences that can be beneficial. It can be a profound spiritual transit.
the same thing can be said for the other transneptunians too though....that was the point of my post.

Michael E. Brown, a professor of planetary astronomy at the California Institute of Technology who discovered the distant ball of ice and rock that he nicknamed Xena, chose the name Eris, after the goddess of discord and strife in Greek mythology.
"It is absolutely the perfect name," Brown said, given the continuing discord among astronomers and the public over whether Pluto should have retained its planetary status.
In mythology, Eris ignited discord that led to the Trojan War.
"She causes strife by causing arguments among men, by making them think their opinions are right and everyone else's is wrong," Brown said. "It really is just perfect." http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2006/09/15/MNGS8 L67LJ1.DTL
