Hey all -

I'm glad to have found this forum; most people look at me like I'm speaking Martian when I talk about astrology (and I'm at only at the point of using bare beginner's terms).
My thing...hmmm. My question...
I had this good friend in high school. I moved and we went our seperate ways. Four years later (last December) we've met again in a rather random way, and against the seemingly adamant wishes of each we fell into a relationship (we both wished against it b/c we were only to be able to see each other for a month before his deployment).
Anyhoo...after a painful, lingering goodbye, we tried to revert to friendship while corresponding over the next...let's see...almost eight months. That didn't work either (btw, hearing someone say, "I love you," for the first time over the phone is, well, is extremely bittersweet).
We're going to see each other for the first time since way back when in a little over a month, and part of me is afraid that this great thing that we have will be found to be an illusion once we stop having thousands of miles between us. On top of that, he turned down a posting on the Coast of Spain to be stationed near me ... I don't want him (and me, but to be truthful mostly him) to be let down.
Bottom line: I'm excited about being together, but I'm still anxious. I've cast our composite chart on www.astro.com, and while there are some very nice points there, there are also a couple that in effect say, "Don't try a relationship with this aspect...". How do I tell what outranks what in analyzing a composite chart? Or do ya'll have any info that I couldn't hope to turn up with regarding synastry (sp?).

Here's the birth info:
Me: 9:42 PM (EST)
March 12, 1980
Fairfax, VA
Him: 2 AM +/- a few min (EST w/ DST)
May 10, 1980
Fort Belvior, VA

Thank you for any help ya'll can provide from out there in Lindaland.

I recognize the aspect you said. I won't go into the astrology jargon, but the aspect isn't a problem. It is not related in any way to your re-union with him.

Moreover, the effects of this aspect will be over very soon. You are fretting over something that will never happen. Go ahead, marry him. Your synastry looks like magic. He is the your guy.

All the best!

Thanks!
Actually, thanks doubly for responding and for the good news - although I don't think that we're going to get married, at least not any time soon. College, the military, etc. We're young yet.

Welcome Corri. Have you looked at your chart comparison or only the composite chart? I rarely look at composite charts and only do as the last step before marriage, a business partnership or something along those lines. I'd concentrate more on the chart comparisons because you can learn your strengths and weaknesses to help you go forward together.

I've looked at the chart comparison a bit, but I'm still a relative novice in astrology (but, then again, isn't everyone a novice relative to someone ... but I'm still more of a novice than many).
OK - No more digression, I'll just answer the question:
So, yep, I've looked at the chart comparison, but I'm a little lost on some points. I'm scouring the net for information.

Thank you for responding (and for any help you have given or will give),

Your welcome, Corri. I've read everything you posted about your relationship, but I'm still not sure what your question is. Are you wanting to know if there are enough Love aspects between you to make the relationship REAL and not a longing because of your distance?

I guess, yes...that seems a good summing-up of the issue I've been dancing around.
It seems so stark when just laid-out there. I think that it kind of shocks my Pisces Sun and Merc.

I'm a triple Aquarius. I'm kind of known for shocking people, sometimes for fun, and sometimes it's unintentional. This time was unintentional, but I guess you needed know so you can figure it out for yourself.

I'll look at it when I have a chance. Right now, all I can think about is the pool to myself while the girls are in school, so it'll have to wait until later!

Ah, the pool.
Cool, I hope that it was all that a good day by the pool should be.

Corri,

I'll be back online on Monday. I've been really busy the last couple of days and have a jam packed birthday weekend with my kids.

That's awesome. I hope your family-filled birthday-weekend surpasses all good expectations; not enough people make the effort to set aside time with their loved ones.

As for me, I'll spend the weekend wallowing in the joy of thinking that I've found my calling, at least for the time being. I've not had everything around me click so nicely in a while so much as after I recently began writing for a paper. I'm going to go skip through my house now, although I may just shimmy down the stairs...I can't imagine skipping down steps to be entirely possible...not with socks on, anyway...

Cheers

Actually, I've decided that my earlier thank you to raj doesn't quite measure up.

So, raj, if you're out there:

-
-- THANK YOU!!!

-Corri, who has now tried skipping down steps and decided that it doesn't work, although skipping up is worth trying

Corri, I'll look at it before work or at work in the morning. I think I fried my brain today when I went back to work.

Take all the time in the world you need. You're doing me a wonderful favor, I'm not about to concieve of dictating anything.
My brain's a bit fried today, too - 1st day at a new University (I transferred in after getting an AA), so I empathise.

Peace,
Corri

proxieme, Chennai is in Oober galaxy (read Gooberz to know more about it). Dont ask the random question whether Internet is available here (It is actually Intranet) and the random question how Earth and Oober galaxy Internet servers can access (It is through satellites linked by telepathy).

Oh, thankfully you wrote out your birth data! It makes life so much easier, and I have to think of my wrist!

Ok, you two have a mixture of soft aspects and harsh aspects. If you think life is going to be all sweet and loving, it's not. Life will be a true bed of roses, complete with the soft, sweet smelling petals and thorns. You have some extremely tough aspects to overcome. Venus square Saturn is unpleasant, to say the least. Trust me, I shared it with my ex-husband. Now that I'm an astrologer, I can tell you every single time the transits set it off. Moon oppose Saturn can be just as bad. You do have the ability to use it for balance and learn from each other, but when it's set off by a harsh transit, you can expect um, a learning experience. I hope he can handle it. He's a gentle Soul down deep, even if he's gruff and arrogant on the surface. There will be frigid moments when he's going to feel like he's living in the freezer, and it's going to be even colder than most couples endure, because you have that aloof, Aquarian Moon. Tell him to buy a winter coat for his Soul and expect some icey moments. Now, on the positive side, you can really talk and identify with each other. You have some sweet, sweet Love aspects. If you use those to get you through the challenging times, you'll be okay. If nothing else, use some of that heat that's being generated physically to melt the icey times! My suggestion to you would be to learn both of your charts and keep up with the transits. That way you'll understand what's going on during the tough transits and you can use that knowledge to help keep you together.

Good luck and take care!

Morning Storm -
Thank you so much for helping me/him/us out...
would it be overstepping to ask a few questions about what you wrote?

>>Venus square Saturn is unpleasant, to say the least. Trust me, I shared it with my ex-husband. Now that I'm an astrologer, I can tell you every single time the transits set it off.<<
>>Moon oppose Saturn can be just as bad. You do have the ability to use it for balance and learn from each other, but when it's set off by a harsh transit, you can expect um, a learning experience. I hope he can handle it.<<

Besides the cold shoulder, with those aspects what kind of things would we be prone to do to hurt each other? (So we can keep on the look-out for them.) How can I watch for the signs leading up to my becoming more aloof - would anything in particular trigger that?
(That is, I'm taking this very seriously and wish to tackle these problems; with your info as a jumping-off point, I'll be concientious about pinning these problems down.)

>>He's a gentle Soul down deep, even if he's gruff and arrogant on the surface.<<
That's funny, I was just thinking about that today. You hit the nail on the head; once you scratch past that thin surface, he's more emotional than I am (or at least more readily emotional). I can turn-off my emotions if need be (which I'm not sure is all that good...), I don't think that he can.

Thanks again,

Corri

PS - What's wrong with your wrist? Carpal tunnel? What kind of treatments have you tried?
Doubly thanks for helping everyone on this site despite the pain that it causes you.

Corri, I was in a car accident and broke my wrist in 6 places and tore the ligament in three places. I had surgery back in January to reconstruct the ligaments, but tore one again before it had time to heal. It's in a soft cast now, and I'm waiting to have surgery on it again. My doctor wants to do it the end of next month, but Mercury is going Rx on the 14th and I'm going to wait until it's good and direct.

I'll answer your questions when I get a chance, but realistically, it won't be until next week. I'm swamped at work today and tomorrow and believe weekends belong to family. Take care.

BTW, I'm impressed that you are willing to study and learn to build and solidify your relationship. You must Love him a lot.

Take all the time you need; it's a miracle that you still have it in you to help posters with your injury.

About Rick: He's the best person I know, and the belief and faith that he has in me helps me to be the best person I've ever been. I wouldn't hurt him for the world, & I'll do everything that I can to make sure of that.
