Hiya! Yeah, the spaghetti'd wires all over the place. We had so much hooked up to so much else I can't even begin to ddescribe it. Luckily, my voice was very 'wailing' today. Seriously, I was proud, it sounded good! We recored quite a bit. You and HD are on my list of 'send to's when I get the good copy.. There's a mixin' to be done yet... it's only for a demo, really, and for practice and to drop off to bars etc.... but I think it'll be pretty good! We did "rhiannon" "Sweet child of Mine " "stairway to heaven" "rocky mountain way" "dreams" "piece of my heart" "what's up" ( 4 non blondes) among others.... "Magic man" too... which is new for us.. we only got until the lead part, so not the big dramatic ending... still needs to be worked on..... Twas a good day! I quit smoking tomorrow, so please wish me luck and faith and strength.. I just have to remember why it's so wrong for me, and add the new reasons to the old reasons. I want to *keep* and even *improve* my voice!!! Thanks for asking!IP: Logged |

Hey sweetie! You sound so thrilled and satisfied, I’m happy you wuz wailin’ today!! Love the song selection, although I’m a bit out of it (“Sweet Child of Mine” – is that Guns ‘n’ Roses??)….. and is it the Allman Bros “Dreams”?? Yee-hah!! Ever heard Molly Hatchet’s version o' that?? Nice….. “Magic Man” by Heart?? I can be hopelessly 'pop' sometimes -- I'm listening to Def Leppard right now ("Hysteria"), I'm a sucker for a song in 'D' :-D I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow whilst you’re avoiding tobacco….. the throaty, smoky voice can be quite an attraction, but the side-effects (lung cancer) are murder If you don't make the cold-turkey trial, I heartily recommend the patch -- it worked for me, amazingly my toddler survived and no one’s head got bitten off Of course, you might make an investment before you quit – buy some stock in your favorite chewing gum company -- gum got me past those rough spots….. I am SOOOOO looking forward to hearing your voice!!!! K’Z IP: Logged |

wow, very cool, pix! Kudos to you and your band. And awesome choice of songs. Seems we probably have similiar taste in music. Singing Janis is my all-time favorite catharthis (along with Ann Wilson)...I truly get into it. ) Ball & Chain~ sittin' down by my windoooooow..Ohhh-ohhh..lookin' at the raaaiiiin. Guess I don't have to worry about quitting smoking to sing her. Maybe even take up drinking Southern Comfort to accentuate better? All the best to you on quitting. IP: Logged |

Hi .. *Pixlz* re: ***We recored quite a bit. You and HD are on my list of 'send to's when I get the good copy.. *** i be looking forward to that !! .. when you get a good copy .. .. even if you get a less than pefect take .. can i still get a copy ? .. .. who be the main 'decision maker' when it comes to being happy with the final 'mix' ?? .. ( just me being curious ) .. .. oh and re: quitting the 'weed' .. you've no doubt seen me mention "Kombucha" .. it works very well in the "nicotine .. get thee gone!" efforts ... *Z'* .. re: 'em's .. two were dispatched over last few days .. have had idea re CJ and m.role model .. astro connected .. wants to ask your opinion pre posting any ideas on astro forum ... .. i was asking myself who my 'male r.m.'s' were as a kid (apart from some piscean values dad passed on to me).... anyhow .. i suspect there could be a tech problem this end .. as a couple of 'e's with a relatively local destination failed to get thru ... ... and there has been what seems to be a virus/worm/ generated swamp of 'spam' .. said 'e' clutter seems to be just a pragraph out of a english drama novel .. .. i keep geting msgs from the isp that 'e's i have Not sent have not reached their destination .. so it's an 'e' adrs bug of somesort and its using 2 of (now deleted) m.box aliases off the isp server ... ... and i bet i could trace this hassle back to a ram ruled compuphobiatic friend .. due to the 'adrs' aliases as he was the only one to have those partic. adrs's .. .. and i know he had virus probs with his laptop .. .. and btw: (re your query) my taur-type no talkee anger .. very very very very very rare .. i mean last instance was 199? with a street neighbour .. we had a bit of a neighbourly power struggle .. if it could be called that .. it actually was a pluto transit to my natal mars .. but also hit a mrs.gem/mr.virgo couple .. (mr.local .mafiaso .. now departed from locale ... .. and 'oh boy' was she 'vitriolic' .. acid toungue ... ) .. .. and same transit hit a mrs.aries/mr.sag couple who live opposite me .. .. and the 2 pisceans who live right next door .. also got heavily involved ..... so .. hd silence is either tech problem .. or computer weariness .. or otherwise occupied .. as in mars gem needs variety ... and doesn't like sticky typing keys or a mouse cursor that seemingly takes forever to advance one 'effing txt character .. .. yep it's hate my email software day .. .. i thinks its time for a 'mac' compiled browzer/email app. ... anyhow .. it shall be rectified .. .. .. have a good weekend ppl .. h.d.

I am confused about kombucha.. See, years ago, around the same time, my mother was 'breeding' this horrendous 'tea' concoction, which was fungus.. like a mushroom, it would grow and split, you'd pass it on to someone else, and they'd grow it/split it tc.. it was from a region of the world that had NO cancer, etc, and this 'tea' was prominent in their rituals etc. I can't rmemeber all the facts, it was far too long ago.. what I do remember is it was called somethng like that... and it was the nastiest. vilest thing I have ever *tried* to consume.. and my sense of smell and taste have returned full force, and I can't STAND anythiing weird smelling... my boy's stinky socks?? Intolerable. I will stop all things, and relentlessly tell him to 'shower now, and go burn your socks' while spraying his godawful smelling shoes with as many pretty smelling things as I can, and doing a load of laundry. whoa.. that was a tangent..************* Or.. Kombusha tea is a yummy tea brewed from sticks and twigs that is aromatic and lovely, you simer it on the stove, and make a brew, and sip from it with honey etc. I hope it is the last one... They sound similar to me, and I have linked them together in my brain, so I don't know which one you mean. You have a good weekend too, all of you. Your shorthand... all I gather is that the fella's who're s'posed to get you 'e' di'nt send props and now you're going to the garden to eat worms. am i right? J/K IP: Logged |

Pixie, you were right the first time, my landlord used to make his own kombucha, and it was actually like some sort of pancake that you used to brew into something that tasted like apple juice, and was supposed to be really, really healthy...still sounds pretty revolting (cue queasy-looking smilie: yellow-green with a sort of crumpled mouth and rolling eyes).OMG!!!!! Are you recording Heart's "Magic Man"?! I LOVED that as a teenager, couldn't make up my mind which of the Wilson sisters I wanted to be. They were the ones who really inspired me to have a go at writing my own stuff. D'you want to send me some of your mp3 files and I'll send you some of mine? Mine won't be fantasticlly produced - I do solo stuff - but I just enjoy writing & recording my own material. AT IP: Logged |

LOL you two !! ... ... make me fall off the chair will ya ??i can see the only remedy is to literaly send a bottle of the gunk your way .. honest .. the localy brewed / grown variety is a gem tastewise .. .. .. when bottling .. it has to be done at the right day/moment .. too sweet and it ain't ready ... ... turning vinegary .. and it's too late .. .. at that stage it's either drink it or use it for cooking .. (*sik joke deleted*) .. .. it should be slightly fizzy .. 'how fizzy' is another indicator of peak maturity .. IP: Logged |

Yes, you can if you like, BTW, did you get my Yahoo message? Yaawwwnnn...I'm going to bed. It's late here and my back's aching from gardening, plus my car was steaming from under its bonnet today, and leaking antifreeze all over the place, I think it was because one of my friends filled it up with antifreeze and didn't put the cap back on properly. At any rate, it didn't look too healthy. It's in for a service next week so all I can say is, I hope it doesn't conk out on me before. Maybe I just ought to run it on kombucha. AT IP: Logged |

oh oh!!!!The other tea I was thinking about is 'cucicha' i don't know how to spell it... "koo-keetcha" it is pronounced. I'm sorry, but are you reccomending I injest that vile liquid for health? Thank you, i'd really rather be unhealthy if given the choice... anything that should be 'fizzy-ish' not too sweet, when nearing maturity, means in my approximation, that it has actually turned and must be thrown out. oh ick. ick ick ick. My mom was like soooooooooo gung ho about this stuff, and would drink it and reccomend it to everyone!! I tried to get on board, I tried... but I'm afraid 'tasty' didn't enter my vocab when trying to consume something that tastes like I imagined vinegared turd would taste.... more like...."mmmmmmm(y Gawd, I'm gonna barf)" I don't have a strong opinion or anything, really. Give me Earl grey anyday over something that grows and stinks and must be 'just right'.... ugh Yes, Magic Man by heart... we only recorded half of it, so I don't know if it'll be quite worth sharing, once the process is finished... The lead guitarist does it at his home, the mixing.... I only hear the end result. I had a much better time recording in my youth, when i was part of the process and not told how to do every-MF-ing thing. Sorrry, I am fierce tonight, i ned a smoke something bad. But NO. I will not. HD ~I’m willing to hold my nose and try a bottle of “the gunk” Guess you’ll have to ship us all a smidgen, maybe in those miniature booze-bottles you used to get on the airplane I have a Kombucha tea that I’ve been drinking daily since last August. My friend GemStar was horrified to learn that I was imbibing a “fungus”, and asked me daily if I was growing fur on my stomach yet and how long my fingernails were….. Actually, I’d like to go the whole route and try my hand at brewing the Evil Fungus – Minnesota is a state with many home breweries: potables of every ilk, it’s a tradition here! I have the Kombucha gunk-starter, just need to get off my tush and set it all up Pixiekins my Fierce One ~ I’m so proud of you for making it this far smoke-free!!!!! This time will be different, yes?? Won’t it be great going to your favorite restaurant, and not having to plan a trip outside for smoke-inhalations (especially when it’s minus-degrees out in the elements)?!?!? I bet in a few weeks you’ll really notice a difference in your breathing capacity in yoga, etc….. and one’s car is much nicer to sojourn in without Essence of Nicotiana – unless you have a frequent canine-passenger whose wet fur you can now smell because there’s no more butts in the ashtray!! I’ll put up a few more tunes for ya this weekend – got any requests??? {{love & hugs}} ‘Z IP: Logged |

I have to listen another time, lovey.... I know, My son grew his hair last year and it looked so good on him. Then his dad cut it off.. Seas was upset about it, but would only say it to me.. not his dad. Maybe he'll read it here and passive aggressively respond. Okay then.. going on that... "Don't cut his hair unless he asks you to.. it's his hair, if he wants it a certain way, it's really not a big deal, up to him, really." Okay. Good. I feel sort of creeped out now, knowing he IS going to read that. Maybe I should swear at him to make it worth his while to spy on me. Shame on him, really.Sorry for that Zala. I watched War of the Worlds tonight, only because Seas saw it and loved it, and I hadn't yet.. it was freaky!!! Really well done, I thought. But then, Alien movies freak me out.. anything that is without compassion... like zombies/aliens/psychopaths.. anything without understanding or compassion gives me the willies. Some people too.
