It is not that we are prude or trying to curb anyone's sexual discussions (there are sites, but they are mostly of the porn variety where you can post sexually explicit topics - usually they also charge and insure the person is over 18).

The problem is, and this is how it was explained to me, there are people here that frequent this site that are well below the age of 18. In the United States we do have laws protecting what those under 18 have access to, or at least we try by warning the user of the content.

Randall created this site for everyone, young and old. He wanted to make sure that regardless of age, country of origin, religion..etc.. anyone could have access and read what we all have to say and what Linda Goodman had to offer. Sure he could create a new forum for those that are 18 and over, but I believe it would end up being quite a hassle.

We are allowed a certain amount of content and we normally start that thread with a "18 and over please, sensitive topic..."

There are no worries that people will look because we are all curious sex-hounds in some way. But the question has to be valid and we try to stick to a bit of decorum, even if we push the envelop.

If someone wanted to start a thread concerning Fetish by sign and then became extremely graphic about bodily functions.. you can bet it would be closed and the contents erased. The thought is, what does that have to do with Linda Goodman and learning about astro? LOL...

In the beginning I was like you and thought it had something to do with close-mindedness.. then I reread some of what I wrote and realized that if I had a 14 year old daughter I would be mortified if she read about using a choke chain in a sexual manner... get it?

Well I cant say sex has much to do with Linda Goodman [especialy considering her known lack of time exploring the subject]. But I can say I think sex can help teach some peaple more about astrology, and likewise astrology can teach us a whole lot about sex then half the astro books out there will.

Our 7 year old son...Scorpio/Gemini/Libra tells lies...but because I am a Scorp (and his Mum) I know when he does...so I just say to him "you dont have to lie.....you know I am a Scorp and can see these things".....he just looks up and me and says " okay mum".

I agree with you shop22....when we are honest, we are blatantly so....but when its time to lie...we can be good at it...

As I said earlier, this is one thing I hope to have healed in myself....

Luckily I am living with a very honest Virgo man.....who can see straight thro me anyway....a part of my karma no doubt.....ooops !!!!!

He already stated that not only didn't it bother him, but he went on to add a compliment. I have a feeling he can take just about anything thrown at him.

I hardly believe that someone as open as he is would be running scared of "harsh" me LMAO.... We Archer's can be blunt but I have a feeling that Scorps (especially ones of your fortitude) can take it.

I wasn't so much worried about your "embarrassment" but wanted to ensure (as any long term poster would want to look out for another poster (and semi-newbie Scorp web) that you didn't get thrown off the website. We have had several people kicked off for graphic posts or the inability to understand why their posts were taken as offensive, by those "close-minded" people, as you referred to them.

BUT.. that said.. post on! Obviously you aren't afraid to push the envelope and I am sure your sexually explicit posts would be very well received here

I don really think my sexually explicit posts would ever be well received here.....i am beginning to realise it is not the right place and I AM NOT APPROPRIATE at times, in my behaviour.

Apart from Magus, I dont really think anyone appreciates my openness...I dont actually think its totally due to children/young peoples' input here. I think its more to do with "grown ups" perceptions of me !!!

I am beginning to realise that American culture is not one I really sit easily with....and all these years I thought it to be an open minded one....that isnt what I find, if I am honest!!!

As for Scorpio people being able to take anything that is thrown at them...I think you may be getting us confused with another sign. I am yet to meet a Plutonian who is not at the core of them innately sensitive and at times, easily hurt, albeit this is often hidden behind a well positioned veil.

Look again Ms Archer....you may be surprised....

I have extremely frank conversations about sex with my friends (gay and straight) and I don't shy away from topics that easily. I work in an office of mostly women (it's very professional) and you should hear the innuendo flying around like gnats in West Virginia! (hee hee... in your endo as 'er' would say from SpaceCataz LMAO)....

For one thing, nobody has power over another, that's a perception of yours, and if a woman did have power over a man why would she want it? Power over another person or in the world isn't so good, in fact it's a problem.

It's true, I can get a date to fly me to any city, take me shopping, drop me off at home, and make him fit my world-but it's not a turn on for most women because we are not detached from our sexuality.

There is a division between the sexes, regardless of sign. Men are taught to be detached from their sexuality and when they feel it, they feel power.

Women are sexual all the time, it's not a powerful feeling, it's felt as being more human.

if a woman asserts her sexuality to have power, she becomes less of a woman, less humanistic and less happy.

Why would she want that? Being equal is much sexier-

Some women might disagree when you say that asserting herself sexually for power makes her less of a woman. Maybe less "Lady"-like, but we're not talking about the sweet, nice girls, anyway.

And, therefore, all of our sex rituals are, indeed, purely humanistic.

I love your sexual statements and it is true, our country (USA) is kinda sexually repressed (on a verbal level) compared to Europe where sexuality is open and "in your face". There is not 100% freedom of speech, because people get offended and are always ready to challenge someone in court or censor them. I like explicit conversations too but I know children come to this site so I keep it zipped. I personally love Europe and dream to retire in Spain.
