Sorry for jumping in. But can't see aqua men bashed.
I am a fish and adore aqua men. Even if it is not going anywhere, being a part of their larger picture is an enriching experience.
Aquas are not builders of nests. They are builders of communities.

Every aqua guy I know has left me richer in experience, and vision. I find them treating me as equals, not pouncing on me on our first date ( and some times not even on our tenth ) They don't fuss over me, but are always around every time I have needed them.

Love one currently. Don't know where its going. But frankly I don't care. We are part of half a doz. projects and a hundred dreams. Time enough to see which ones come true and which ones don't.
Maybe because my venus and mercury are in aqua, and his Mars is in pisces, and we both are Libra moon, we resonate well. I have seen them serious-happy-crabby-selfish-turned on- turned off, but still won't settled for anyone else.
Thanks heavens for Aqua men !

-K.

i agree with HSC and Lialei (it's spot on), plus all the other i jumped but defend aquas. i'm one myself.

come on gemgemgem, you're a gemini, if you try to understand him, i'm sure you'll have a wonderfull time. don't be put off simply cause he's aquarius. obviously on the expression of the feeling, he could be warm to you until the moment he becomes cold for a while because he will be on a mental pursuit or trying to live an idea which make him look like he's not in love, or not caring,... but if he loves you, let him express it in his way for a while, (lialei said it better), and be conforted that he won't change his mind about his love, deep down. we might not be very demonstrative but we are sincere, and with you being a gem, i'm sure you can create the dispassionate mental connection needed to bring him back down whenever you feel abandoned without creating anotherr problem on top of it. you'll tell him your problem and he'll tell you why he's like that. you probably won't have the power to change him but love is not power, but trust, and he'll be moved by yours for him if you let him go and come back (in his emotions, mind)

otherwise, if he's an ******* , why blame is sun sign... he could be one, but i think his sign would be more a trun on for you as a gem sun and moon.

just expect some new point of view, radical and exentric, about you, love, the way you see him,....
you won't be bored

It definitely has been "interesting" with this Aqua guy, but it does take adjustments to my way of thinking about relationships.

We are friends, but then he'll come on so strong it'll make me want to back off, but then he'll back off and disappear instead. It's actually quite amusing. I don't mind the whole "game" because his unpredictability has become predictable to me now. haha.

Oh the old "push pull" technique. Yawn!!!
I think us Aquarians like to think of it like fishing.
Don't pull on the line to heavy, wait till you have a bite, let it go a little slack and then reel 'em in hard!
If you really want to freak him out ask him if he is applying said techniques.
The horror of finding out that someone could possibly rumble our (intellectually superior mind games)will just make him faint clean away!
He will hold you in high esteem (after he comes to and gets over the initial embarrassment!)

hey gemgemgem, there's an excellent book that gives in depth definitions of each sun sign.
"sextrology" by starsky and cox. ebury press. it's fairly cheap, £15 (around 30$)

it's accurate for everyone i know around me. this book is in fact the most accurate i ve read so far. they distinguish between female and male expression of the sign energies. and each description is around 20 pages long of a detailed analysis (in small print), so there's plenty of informations. as the name suggest, the authors focus on signs relating abilities.

i don't have a scanner so i can't send you these infos, but it would give you a very good understanding of the aquarian's world.

exactly bunnies! He is fishing, but I'm not biting. I wish he would mix it up a little though cause the disappearing acts are getting a bit predictable and boring.

Thanks praecipua for the book suggestion. I will definitely be going out and getting that one!

games suck...

when are people going to grow up...

games suck...

and aquas NEED them...to live, games are of the mind....as are aquas, not of the heart.

I've been watching this thread for a while! I'm so surprised at the mixed feelings.
My roommate (virgo female) has an Aqua boyfriend who must have some serious earth signs in his chart because he is completely and totally devoted to her. I mean, really loves her.Would marry her today if she would let him. The funny thing is, she acts more like the aqua in this relationship!
Aqua men are fascinating but at the same time I clash with them (aqua here too). One of my coworkers is an aqua man, very successful lawyer, married for years to a woman who is just as independent as he is. They seem more like buddies than a married couple. Obviously everyone is different but the couple Aqua men I know are very personable and quick witted but also VERY independent. I really enjoy their company but the idea of being in a relationship with one seems absurd.
I have Aqua sun and venus which causes me to shudder with fear when I think about relationships . My best advice is to back off with the odd aqua man and when he figures it out he will be back. Waiting is hardest part but if you do, and let him back in, you will probably have him forever!

I have been reading this and want to let you know to read or re-read Linda Goodman's Love Signs book. The Aquarius-Gemini combination is the IDEAL match. I am an Aquarius woman and am looking for a Gemini man. I seem to have a "connection" with all Geminis I meet including the a toddler in my son's class. Both signs are extremely independent. Geminis usually fear commitment and Aquarians tend to be non-emotional (I've been called a cold heart *itch by my Scorpio ex). Read the book to try to understand you Aqua man. And see what happens.

As a Scorpio with Aquarius rising, perhaps I'm biased, but... one of my best friends at my prior job was an Aquarius man (birthday February 18) in his late 30's who was a very dedicated husband and father of two little girls. All he ever did was talk about how wonderful his wife was and how concerned he was about his oldest little girl, who had a diagnosis of autism. He was a very hard worker but would run home and spend the rest of his time interacting with his daughters and cooking for everyone. Didn't seem non-committal to me - at all. I just ran into him a couple of months ago and he was still happily married, and a doting father. Just my two cents. Also, my current boss is an Aquarian man and although he comes across as a bit distant and gruff, by all accounts he is happily married and a father of three.

I just found out that my boss (of my second job) is an Aquarius. I worked with him for over 5 years.

He had cheated on his wife and the entire office knew about it (she was a business associate with another company). He is married with two children. They put on this 'front' that they are happily married, successful, rich, etc.

Thanks lkmarlow! I have Linda's Love signs book, so I will definitely re-read that part, as I haven't picked up that book in quite a few years. Thanks for the reminder!

I hope you find your Gemini!

I am very drawn to Aquarius men. So I thought. I have found them attractive, intriguing, and intelligent. Since my ex was "Aquarius" I would joke about swearing them off. Then I found that many of the men who I thought were Aquarius were actually Capricorns when doing the true sign test. So it was Caps characteristics all along and I was mistaken. Seriously, I would not recommend ending any relationship because of astrology dear. People are so much more than chart readings right? Your fears are understandable, better to deal with them directly or give yourself time, than make an astrological scapegoat.

I have been reading this for a wee while and hope you all don't mind me butting in with my wee tale.

I am a pisces with venus and mercury in Aquarius and years ago had the most fantastic relationship with an Aquarian (with sun, venus and mercury in aquarius...Ouch!). But he did the usual disappearing acts, and the whole "I need space". Our relationship was so completely different from those of my girlfriends that I thought I should try and change him to what I expected - how wrong was I!! We parted (obviously) and he moved away, to a different continent! That is how much space he needed. We remained on speaking terms, this was hard at first but we were always each others best friends and I felt that was too precious to give up, even if he lived 15,000 miles away.

Things change, time heals and I found myself in a relationship with a Capricorn. He turned out to be the very devil himself. He lied, stole, cheat and sucked my spirit from me until there was nothing left of myself that I recognised.

After two years I feel like me again and a few months ago my lovely Aquarian came back for a visit. We met up a few times, emailed almost every day (just the one email per day mind) until we realised there was more going on.

Now this is almost 6 years after we first split, so when we say that Aquarians need time, it can be a long time. I haven't compromised my life for him in the slightest, I have commitments here and simply told him I loved him but that he had to do what was right for him.

The result is that he quit his job abroad, sold his home and moved back here to be with me. This could be the impetuous Aquarian spirit, my sister is Aquarius so I am familiar with their nature.

I think what I am trying to say is, if you can love them wherever they are, when they are floating on a breeze somewhere, and you don't worry cos you know they will be back, then they can be the most wonderful thing to happen to you. He always makes me smile, our relationship is so unique and now I am older i can appreciate this.

Sorry for rambling on. The heading here was are Aquarians that bad? I have to say no, there is always hope, even when two Venus in Aquarius people give it a go!

i adore my aqua man been together 8 yrs. met on his birthday (when our two saturns were conjoined)...kismet we say, and since him i found a kindred spirit in the aquarius. they fascinate me. i tend to attract alot of them, i thought i found my soul mates in 2 pisces men...divorced them and now perfectly, vibrantly, passionately in love with my water bearer. is there any other sign? they're deep, ridiculous creatures at times but give them time and paitence and you will find a true humanitarian, loyal friend, and if your lucky a most excellent kisser

Hard to believe that three people posted for the first time on page 3 of this thread(!), while two others posted for the first, second, third, or fourth time, on the same page. Harder still to believe, is that all of these posters had wonderful things to say about Aquarian men. Is it just me, or is anybody else wondering if someone is going around openning fake profiles, just so they can do public relations for the Aquas?

i think the problem may be that we tend to think everyone should express love and "commitment" the same way. i am aqua rising with moon trine uranus and moon in pisces. i also have bouts of needing to be alone and away from even my nearest and dearest. some of them understand, some still get annoyed about it. my cancer husband found me to be "singular" ie i don't like to lean on people, solve problems myself and tend to eccentricity, but i am loyal to a fault, as long as you don't chain my to the kitchen sink or expect me to wait for you when you're late! tho i have a leo sun it is not apparent to most people.

what i'm trying to say is NO, aquas are not "that bad" at all. they ARE different, often puzzling, eccentric in love as in everything and you have to love a mystery to love one. if you're looking for a picket fence and reliability they may NOT be for you. but,GEMGEMGEM, all that gemini and the craving for stability - perhaps you are projecting your need for variety onto the aqua? or missing the point that HIS love is not dependent on being in your presence...it stretches farther than that!

Gosh katatonic. Your description of yourself was exactly...word for word..how I would describe myself if asked.
I am an Aqua sun and Leo rising which is the opposite to yourself.
My son is a Cancerian who dreams of a Mum wearing an apron standing at the door holding a pie.
My daughter is an Aqua who couldn't imagine anything worse!
She wanders round the world having odd little adventures and bringing home a motley collection of people,
A llama herder from Peru is the latest one (true)
Does this bother me? Not a jot.
My son meanwhile is digging out a recipe for some strange Andean dish so the Peruvian does not feel homesick!
Vive la difference!

hahaha! yes, me too, bunnies - and your daughter sounds like me - but gracious as she was my mom could never understand why i brought the people and animals home to HER!! after i hit 40 she decided to accept that i was chronically "outre" in my dress sense and choice of friends/occupations/lifestyle. my daughter was always mortified by my weird birthday cakes and lack of time sense. but i like me like that - and i love aquarian men, as long as they have some other goodies going on!
