Today he said "how are you my future gf again?"Lol. Whether that happens or not I thought that was pretty sweet. Ahh that's another thing I remember about him - his charm. I hope the years have been kind to us both. lol (Sorry this has turned into a self-indulgent love fest, I'll shut up now!) IP: Logged |

Yes I'm ok with just being friends with him. I'm 49, past child-bearing age and not really looking to marry anyone, so friendship matters more to me. I can take or leave the romance (he WAS very attractive though so I'd probably take it here!). The main thing is I found him again and everything is ok between us. IP: Logged |

Perfect. I have a lot of respect for that Too many women go crazy at the thought they might never get married. It's ridic. Congrats :P IP: Logged |

It was never really on my agenda for life. It would be nice to live someone you got along well with (and I do regret not having kids, I will admit that), but the ring on the finger/marriage contract thing always felt alien to me. I think I'm much better as a girlfriend than a wife!

Hmm. That's cool. So far I just havent found someone who has no issues lol. Most guys have a lot of 'em. Lol. Unfortunately. Until then I'm way happier being single, and find that it's easier to be happy when I'm single. I already had two very fulfilling relationship experiences and they filled me up quite well I dont feel like I need much more love. They were satisfying enough haha! That's what we all want, no? To have felt extremely loved by someone at least once, right?I want to adopt, though. Even if Im a single mom. Ive met too many little kids I had a special bond with. ------------------ Cancer: eternally the mother of the zodiac... ebay compatibility readings | testimonials | Past readings | Ideal compatibility (3rd post) | Q&A | What's a Love stellium? | Most important aspects descriptions | Aspects to avoid | Guide to Chinese Zodiac Appearance | The Order in Astrology IP: Logged |

Yes, but a mutual love, and one that has potential for growth. All this has proved to me is that genuine love never really dies. He's by no means perfect and neither am I. We had a few clashes, it wasn't all easy. But the strong feeling drawing us close was there too. And maybe age does mature you and make you more philosophical and easy-going about love.

Exactly. Love never dies or else it was never "love" at all. In my sun-jupiter crushes my feelings died eventually after some time (two or three years) and with moon square venus crushes...same. I eventually grew to find them all annoying. But with sun-venus in composite crushes, my love for them has always been and will always be. I could never find them annoying or turn against them. Same has happened in my friendships. I could never ever find my sun-venus friends annoying. There is too much affection and admiration there.

Oh well, yesterday he messaged me saying "how are you my friend"... so I've gone from "future girlfriend" to "friend." lol. Seems like he is feeling the same way.I can't blame him really. Long distance relationships suck, especially when you haven't actually seen them for 14 years! IP: Logged |
