How many here are Wiccans or Pagans? Tell us a little about your beliefs. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

I was raised Roman Catholic but have never been a fan of organized religion. I was always drawn to the Holy Mother Mary, which I believe has guided me towards the God/dess. I am still seeking but am definitely feeling a pull toward the wiccan/pagan path. Hopeful IP: Logged |

Satyat Nasti Paro Dharmah There Is No Religion Higher Than TruthThat is what it says around the symbol on the book I am reading, and that is pretty much how I feel. A Christian would call me Satanic, a Satanist would call me a Christian - a pagan would call me a Catholic, a Catholic would call me a pagan - a Buddhist would probably call me asleep. Mary and Buddha both dangle from my neck and rest above my heart, as well as the Aztec calendar stone. I guess I am a mutt. IP: Logged |

Ra, that is priceless!! Me, I simply call myself "witch", as I don't care for the word "Wiccan" because there is a bit of a "mutt" in me, too. I follow a little bit of everything and blend it to call myself a solitary eclectic witch. It works for me. But, then, I think I'm really an alien! Donna IP: Logged |

Today I went to church(as usual)and it felt very wrong...like,"What am I doing here?I'm not even Christian!"If I had to choose a religion,it would be liberal Christianity, but I'm anti-religion.Pro-spirituality ------------------ "When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on"-Thomas Jefferson IP: Logged |

According to Webster and crew (whom Linda didn't think much of), a Pagan is a heathen, which is a person who doesn't believe in the world's chief religions. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Ahh well if you;d asked me if I was a heathen that would've been a much eaaaaaaaaasier question . heheheh. I'm non practicing on all religious fronts. I have trouble practicing without grass. I miss my back yard inside I feel to constricted to let go.I move when the spirit does, as a result I've tried Tai Chi (I really liked the meditation stuff), practiced some basic spells (I have a nice repetoire that keeps me feelin' good ), and done lots of research. I tend to like religious theory more than practice. IP: Logged |

Here is my View... I read this good book called the 12th Planet and it talked about how the bible and other ancient writings contribute to the idea that humans are a creation of aliens DNA and apes. It may sound a bit hokey to some but I ask you to read it and give me your opinion then. I enjoyed the mind revelution I experienced. Note: it is the first in a series of 6, then there are other books the author wrote. His name is Zacharia Sitchen. Good Reading------------------ "Dance like no one is watching, sing like no one can hear you and love like you have never been hurt before." -someone who found it in a birthday card and told me at a folk fest party. I am not a Wiccan but I am a pagan. I was raised in various churches... as a child I was a member of the LDS (mormon) church but also attended Mass with my Dad on Saturday nights! Then there were the vacation bible schools put together by varied demoninations and well, it's no wonder that the sunday school teacher didn't like it when *I* had questions LOLI was a Nazarene for about 10 years with my now ex-husband. During this time I pushed away all thoughts and feelings and threw myself into Christianity but it wasn't *right* and I have finally become myself. In fact when people ask me what I am I generally say "I'm in the Kian religion (Kian being my name) because I practice what is right for me and only me" I am connected strongly to the Moon, Morgan Le Fey, particular fairies that came to *me* and an angel named Michael. It is they I go to when I need to. Michael is another entity that came to me, in a dream... he was ensuring in this dream that I was able to reach my twinsoul and in that dream I had the realization that Michael had been present at every important event, just I hadn't been able to see him. Have I rambled enough yet? Sorry. :-p IP: Logged |

Taj, by that I meant I was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. The Nazarene church was founded by John Wesley, same as the Methodists but they are actually *more* conservative than the Methodist church. Hopeful, thanks for the link to the e-zine I'm gonna check it out!

I call myself either pagan or witch. I used to call myself Wiccan and I follow a lot of Wiccan practices but I find all the trendy Wiccans have turned me off from the label "Wiccan".I officially became a practicing pagan about... gosh... 12 years ago? But I already carried the beliefs with me. I went to Catholic school for a little while when I was young and I knew much of it didn't sit right with me. I questioned a lot and as long as I could remember I believed in reincarnation because it just made sense to me. I read the Mists of Avalon when I was 18 or so and I thought "Wow.. why don't the goddess religions still live?" I soon found out that they do and I delved into the New Age section at the bookstore across the street from where I worked and soaked up every book I could find. I worked with a Gardnerian covern for a while. A wonderul group of people! They taught me a lot but my path right now is solitary. I occasionally go to a place called Raven's Flight for public rituals when I crave groups. I also work with SnowWhite sometimes when we feel the energy is right. In fact, a week or two ago we did a spell to return some bad energy that was being sent to us. I have pictures of my witch cabinet somewhere.. here it is.. it's sideways, sorry, and taken with a webcam.. Right now I am working with Norse/Germanic gods and goddesses. I felt Freya and Odin calling me. Coming up is one of my very favorite holidays - Samhain! I have yet to decide what I'll be doing, though =) ------------------ and every time i need to touch you... how can i ever break the distance? that's why my love became so strong and pure... that's why i keep on trying forever.. ..to carry on your flag for you ...some superhero-being.. f o r y o u... waiting under the light of the moon f o r y o u.. i'm coming soon.
