Morning Storm suggested I ask you what you think this dream may mean. to 'hear' the whole story check Soul Unions 'Update-Total Pieces'

Quick back ground my mechainc 'gave' me a fully restore 1968 volkswagon beetle. If you don't know anything about old cars it looks like a show car, if you do it a high 3 on a scale of 1-5, five being perfect "Best in Show"

'gave' is qualified because I don't know how much this car is going to cost. I don't know how much he wants in a car note and I have the pink slip. I gave him $1000 which only covered the cost of the interior, which he doesn't do (I had a 1967 that was in really tough shape and to do the interior for that car was going to cost me $1000 3 years ago).
Jose gave me a house. 2 story typical clapboard light blue with white
trim (exact color of my car). Hardwood floors, bright and airy.
3 bedrooms and a cute kitchen with an old stove. I was alone while
I was looking through the house. There was no furniture. I felt very
calm as I walked through the house. Although he gave me the house I
did not feel like he would be living there or that I owed him anything.
While in the living room I was wondering how I would move it from its
location. It seemed to be in the middle of a prairie type landscape.
I went outside and looked and the house was on a large trailer and there
was a old fashioned ford truck attached was the light blue, white interior,
white wall tires. I was really happy about the house and I took to a
friend (no one in particular just a generic person that I felt was a
friend). He liked but wanted to know why one of the windows was broken.

I looked up and the whole top side was smashed like big tree had fell
against the house. I w
as very hurt because I didn't know how the side
of the house (not just the window) got broken. I felt that the house
was perfect when it was given to me and now because I did something wrong
it wasn't perfect and I was going to have to ask him to fix it.

What do you think. I have my own ideas but Morning Storm suggeted I ask you what you see.

Thank you very much!
Amber

Here's the link for that thread on Soul Unions, so you won't have to go searching for it.

OK, Amber, this is what I am thinking.

The house that Jose gives you represents the relationship/situation between you. You are alone in the house, there is no furniture, and you feel like he would not be living there - these are indications of what may be held between the two of you at the moment - not much of anything. The house is also located in the middle of nowhere, away from the center, further indicating the emptiness of it.

Although you felt calm as you walked through the house, this calm was born of familiarity, not peace. This is a situation you are familiar with, you have been here before, as is indicated by an old stove and and old fashioned ford truck. These two items point to an old pattern at work. What is cooking in this "new" house (to you) is actually something old.

You wish to move this relationship/situation because you cannot live with it (living room) like/where it is (removed from the center). The old pattern takes over (truck) and begins the move. This truck symbolizes the way in which you handle these types of situations, and it is much outdated.

A friend points out a broken window - there is something about this situation that you have not been seeing, or do not want to see. Upon realizing that there is something wrong, much more damage comes into focus, you become more aware of the extent of your short-sightedness, of your illusion.

In the end you are left with a house on a trailer with a smashed wall/roof. The situation/relationship has no foundation (or at least an uncertain one) and the higher levels of it, the mental or spiritual or ideal, are not.

I did not intend for this to sound so negative or pessimistic, but this is the way it comes together in my mind, so that is the way I must relay it.

Please let me know if it makes any sense, corrections can always be made!

Dear Ra,
Wow. I don't know what to say. It is all true. The question is will I listen. Haven't decided yet. You have given me a lot to think about. Thank you so very much.

I thought the dream meant that I would have to pay for the car he gave me. I really have not figured out why he is being so generous without asking for anything. I'll see him tomorrow, I guess the best way to figure this out is just to ask him.

I'll let you know.

Love with the utmost sincerity,
Amber

I was wondering. Does it matter that I like old things? The stove in the house is the type of stove I would buy now. Same with the truck (although I would not paint light blue) I'm sure I'm just fishing, the interpretaion of the dream really resonates but I wonder...?
This whole experience is very profound though. I am 33 and I can count on my hands how many dreams I have had (woke up from and remembered) in my life (including childhood).

Hmmm...
