Gypseewind....is that like night terror feeling? i got that alot last year...mediated between sleep and wakefulness...i would try to scream but my body froze...no sound would escape and the 'paralysed feel' would terrify me. im impressed by your methods ...havent had that in a while though but will definately try if it does.

Yes Aeiry, I suppose you could say it is similiar to night terrors, although I usually associate night terrors with children.
But it is a horrible sensation, and you actually feel as if you are paralyzed. I've often tried to scream for help, but no sound will come out, because it seems everything is paralyzed, including your vocal chords.
It took many years, as I said, for me to figure out how to "unparalyze" myself. I notice though, the better I get at it, the less I seem to be out of body, or at least have a conscious memory of it. So I have to wonder if the two are connected. I mean, obviously they are connected, but does one have to put up with the paralyzing thing in order to get to leave the body, and if not, how do they do it?

Gypsee, my mum used to have night terrors when she was still married to my dad (lol) ... but they stopped after she left him. She looked into it (paralysed, not being able to speak/scream) and apparently it's related to stress. Mum's open spiritually, but generally prefers scientific answers! So I just thought I'd put that out there. Doesn't sound pleasant at all though. Strangely enough my dad experienced the same thing after she left and it scared the bejeebers out of him! (He is not at all spiritual). We didn't talk about this until only a few years ago and I had weird experiences in that house too (to do with left over energies from previous occupants). My brother didn't but his bedroom was in a newer, different part of the house and is not open spiritually at all as far as I'm aware.

Regarding astral projection.. I've done it once that I know of for sure, but while I was sleeping. It scared the pants off me and I never ever want to do it again. I was chased by an ungodly Thing right back into my body, and I woke up immediately as my astral self touched my physical body... and the Thing hovered over me for hours. I couldn't see it once I was awake but I saw it when astral travelling.

Woah, Ms Candeh, if my experience was like yours I wouldn't want to do it either! That is truly frightening.
The best part is the leaving the body, it is such a peaceful, free feeling, but the coming back stinks, at least for me.
I have quite a bit of physical pain, so when I leave my body, it is gone, when I come back, it seems amplified by a zillion percent. Reminds me how bad it really is.

I'm too lazy to try and astral project now, its too much work! but when I did do the work I remember asking for cherries and I was flying through cherries. It was weird of me to ask for cherries lol. I flew through what looked like an ocean and cliffs, maybe it was in another planet. Can't tell.

Okay Randall....this is probably a stupid question, but I am fairly new here...what does 'bump' mean? And how do you delete duplicate posts?

Of course after a long post, I lose my connection and lose it all...I project naturally, and have for at least 35 years, I just found out this past spring what was happening to me. I never had anyone to discuss it with, so kept it bottled up. Intense fear is what I feel when going through the separation process. No longer the 'paraylsis' associated with it like it used to be. I could tell you some strange experiences, if anybody cares to listen, and/or share, their experiences.
